Loro Parque - Puerto de la Cruz

Advantages: Amazing wildlife and shows
Disadvantages: Long journey depending on where your staying

...Loro Parque is probably the best attraction on the Canary Island of Tenerife. Although the journey via coach from Puerto de Santiago took a tiring 3 and a bit hours to Puerto de la Cruz, it was well worth it. I would strongly recommend watching all of the shows around the park such as the sealions, whales, dolphins and the parrots. The dolphin and whale shows were amazing and I must admit that they topped those of Sea World, Orlando, Florida. Loro Parque meaning "Parrot Park" in Spanish lives up to the name as the park is based around the hundreds of different parrots they own. If you are on holiday to Tenerife, do not hesistate to visit this park. With animals ranging from penguins to tigers to gorillas, it truly is somewhere to visit as it is a brilliant place for families, couples, groups of friends or even by yourself. Do not miss...

Visit the Orchid Garden!

Advantages: Nice to visit, pretty, shady

... * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Orchid Garden Review * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Recently I visited Tenerife for almost two weeks and this is another review of somewhere I visited. Another Tenerife review I have written is on Loro Parque and is quite a good review in my opinion! Anyway today I am going to review the Orchid Gardens. While in Tenerife recently I visited the Orchid Gardens in Puerto de la Cruz. The garden was just up the road from the hotel I stayed in which is the Casablanca and probably took about 3 minutes to walk to from there! The orchid garden is a really interesting place to visit but it seemed to be very quiet ?although apparently it is busier in the winter! This is a shame as the gardens are a really nice place just to be in and relax and should be enjoyed by more people and I wish that more...

A Fun Day Out in Tenerife!

Advantages: Good fun, suitable for all

...supermarkets or shops! Overall I had a really good time at the Lido and think most people would enjoy themselves there too. I would recommend it to everyone as everyone can enjoy it. The Lido was quite cheap but I would not want to pay to go in there for an hour or something especially when most hotels have a pool! I think it was about 14 euros for four of us. I think it is open most of the time but it is definitely busier on the weekends. I think the Martinez Lido is well worth visiting if in Puerto de La Cruz and would recommend it even if you are not staying in the North as it is a fun day out! 4/5 Thanks for reading! ...One of the lesser known attractions of Puerto de la Cruz, the resort in the north of Tenerife, is the Orchid Garden Sitio Litre. The mansion was built in 1730 and in 1774 the British merchant Archibald Little bought it together with a piece of land which he converted into a beautiful garden. Sitio is the Spanish word for site and the surname Little somehow changed into Litre. In 1856 the Vice Director of Bristol College, Charles Smith, purchased the property, his family owned the house until 1996, the mansion is still privately owned, but the garden has been opened to the public. Together with the ticket the visitors get a brochure and a list of all the plants and their names (which is to be returned), number plates are stuck into the soil so that the visitors interested in botany can inform themselves. Advantages: This 'designer' cream will turn your bathroom shelf into a shrine.

Magazines are forever gushing about this product, associating words such as 'miracle' and 'extraordinary' to it so naturally curiosity got the better of me. Now although I can be somewhat of a beauty product victim and quite impulsive, even I know that forking out around eighty-eight quid for an itsy tub (30ml!) of this wonder is just plain ridiculous. Advantages: leaves skin moisturized for long

...between fingertips before tapping it on the face,but my fingers absorbed most of the cream!Does it mean I will have wrinkle-free finger tips?? The Creme de la Mer, ladies and gentlemen, DOES NOT contain a SPF, which means that, although I spent a fortune for this cream, I have to spend even more for another cream with SPF (and would I apply it before or after the Creme de la Mer?).This is not acceptable, everyone knows about the risks of skin cancer and if I pay a fortune for a face cream then it has to be perfect. That was the bad news.The good news, however, is that excellent creams DO exist. Instead of wasting money on a product that is mainly famous because VIP use it ( sure...Victoria Beckham looks like that because she uses Creme de la Mer, not because she has Botox injections, and Restylane fillings...) you'd better off investing...

Premier Inn, Ashby de la Zouch

...Stayed at the Ashby de la Zouch Premier Inn on the night of Saturday 15th November 2008. The chap on the reception desk was welcoming and friendly - a good start. The stairs and corridor to the room were clean in appearance and smell. The room was likewise, although a little chilly because the window was open, but a thermostat in the room meant we could bump the temperature up a bit. For the money - £48 for the night for 2 of us - I consider we had good value. The room was quite large, comfortable bed, although in the morning I heard someone complaining at reception, that their bed was too hard, but ours was fine. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room, TV and a sofa. Plenty of hanging space and shelves. En suite was of a good size and plenty of hot water. 2 bath and 2 hand towels provided. No freebie soaps...
