Ocean World, Puerto Plata.....more than just dolphins!
Advantages: Wonderful Experience - A must visit

...I had the good fortune to visit Ocean World, located in Puerto Plata on the lovely island of Domincan Republic last year.
It was my birthday while we were away, so my fiance and I decided to book the day trip with our travel rep, the idea being that on my birthday I would be swimming with dolphins! I was so excited as this is something that I had always wanted to do, but never got...

Cabarete - Dominican Republic (north)
Advantages: nice relaxing holiday, friendly people, great weather.
Disadvantages: hassle by the beach vendors, some shop keepers and time share people
...We have just spent two fabulous weeks in Cabarete on the North coast of Dominican Republic, and I want to tell you all about it. We flew with Thomson and it cost us approx £600 each. Spending money, we probably spent around £400, not including our diving course.
First off a bit of geography, DomRep occupies one half of the island of Hispaniola. One of the larger islands in the Caribean...

Fab holiday in every way! Riu Bachata, Dominican Republic
Advantages: Value for money, good food, nice rooms
Disadvantages: Coming home!
.... Maybe it wouldnt be the greatest room for a honeymoon stay but I guess its just what you prefer!
The rest of the room is fine, you have a TV with american/german/spanish channels on. (For Lost fans out there, I got to watch one of the episodes of the new series!!) But of course you dont go to the dominican to watch tele!
We were on the ground floor and didnt have any creepy crawlies or mozsquitos...
