Nothing like Umbria
Advantages: Cheap food and ale, good atmosphere, staff attentive but not over the top
Disadvantages: Pizzas not that great, burnt calzone, dried mushrooms and meals weren't served together
...When I first moved into Wola,(a district west of Warsaw), four years ago there weren't any cafes or restaurants close by. Now there are 4 restaurants if you include Sowa's; the cake shop that serves coffee, homemade cookies and delicious cakes. The new restaurant on the block - well, it's actually around the corner and in another block, is the Umbria which opened a few months ago and specialises...

Umbria - the green heart of Italy
Advantages: timeless, peaceful, historic & beautiful
Disadvantages: you really need a car to get the best out of the region
...proximity to Tuscany means all of their sites are within easy reach. Even Rome and Florence are only an hour and a quarter away by train.
We came to Umbria first on our honeymoon eight years ago and even though we have both travelled pretty extensively the magic of Umbria kept us coming back. Now we live here and cannot imagine living anywhere else come and experience the magic for yourselves....

The treasure that is...Umbria.....
Advantages: everything....beautiful scenery, gorgeous food + lovely people!
Disadvantages: not much...Assisi can get very busy especially during Easter and mid-july
...Palazzo Ducale!
Travelling round Umbria is more enjoyable and inspiring if you hire a car as it lets you go "with the flow" and take you to where you want to go! Italian motorways are less congested in Umbria than near big cities like Rome and Florence so its a much more relaxed journey! Compared to the big cities of Italy, Umbria is not as expensive....but if you're a wine lover....you are...
