Fiat Punto Active Sport 1.2i 8v

Advantages: Great Looks, Low Tax, Cheap Insurance
Disadvantages: Ride Hieght, Slight Roll On Cornering

...Having recently handed my little Saxo over to my little sister for her lessons and run around. Its time to look for a new car, So I came accross a really nice "Fiat Punto Active Sport 1.2i 8v". Read below to find my opinion of this car so far....... Performance~ This car is awesome on petrol, Obviously depending on the way its driven its averagin about 48ish MPG. ALthough not as responsive as the saxo was and requires higher revs in lower gears to do this, Another slight downside is the ride height and suspension set up as the car feels very high, and also as if it is going to roll when taking corners at speed. Exterior~ The Active Sport variant of the Punto is in one word "sexy", Its got curves, and straight lines in all the right place. Again a slight draw back is the gap between the top of the wheels and the botton...

Pedalling the Punto

Advantages: Fairly inexpensive to buy
Disadvantages: Parts are expensive, insurance grouping is high

...well, but it will not overwhelm you. It can be costly if you compare it to cars of a similar spec and standard so be careful when buying. I have attached a pic of the Punto, it is a bit dark as the sun was just coming up when the photo was taken. Yes, that is me getting into the drivers side (the car is left hand drive). Bye Bye Punto

...There always comes a time when we are fed up with our current car and want to move onto something new and that time has come for me. I currently have a Fiat Punto Active Sport in Imola Yellow (Bright Yellow) to suit my personality but its warranty has just expired, I'm a little bit fed up of of and want to try something different, particularly looking at Honda Civic or possibly Seat Leon. Over the years, I have had 4 Fiat vehicles, at one point I was marketing manager for a Fiat dealership so I suppose I was being loyal to the brand there and tended to stick to what I knew best but overall I have found every Fiat that I have owned to be superb little motors. Punto To The Rescue

Advantages: Decent engine with low emissions and fuel in-take.
Disadvantages: Tiny top speed and power-steering failure occurs too often.

...I purchased my Fiat Punto 6months ago from an auction in Nottingham, for just £1,000 + £200 auction charge. The car was in great condition (besides a flat tire which put bidders off), with only 41,000 miles of the clock! When I got the car home I discovered a few small problems which may or may not be common in most Punto's: - The doors were creaking loudly when opened and closed. This was something I knew WD40 couldn't fix as the clicks were vibrating the doors, making it clear the issue was past an oil deficiency. - I had several problems with the powersteering (a common issue in Punto's). When leaving a car-park I put the steering wheel in full lock and the power steering failed. It came back however and remained in tact. The Punto experience.

Advantages: Cheap, roomy, stylish, nippy, practical, reliable.
Disadvantages: A bit of a struggle on motorways, not comfortable enough for long journeys.

Advantages: practical and cheap from certain sources
Disadvantages: remnants of a lack of expense in some areas

...Punto was the least expensive and personally of great value for money. I was reluctant to spend my entire budget on the Focus, only to find that I would have preferred to have some extras such as a decent sound system. So why did I go for the Punto? The new 2003 model revives the original spirito di punto which incapsulates the little terriers which raced around European suburbia for the majority of the past decade. Also, I am a great fan of Ferrari, and even though I can not (and probably not ever!) afford one, any company, such as Fiat who has the sense to do business with Ferrari has my vote. Following a car accident in April which resulted in my car being written off after an altercation with sycamore tree, I was in search of some new wheels. After much deliberation I opted for a Fiat Punto S60 which was on a P (1997) plate, with just over 51,000 miles on the clock and was priced at £1,600 from a car dealer. This was around £200 less than the price suggested by Parkers Car Price Guide, so I considered it a bit of a bargain. EXTERNALLY Punto's are probably not the best looking cars on the road, but I've seen worse. P P P Pick up a Punto !!!

Advantages: Economical, Cheap to insure, nippy around town !
Disadvantages: Thin body, dents easily

...Being a short person (5ft nothing), when I look for a car I like to be able to see over the steering wheel....it is also quite handy to be able to see the back end !!! Advantages: lovely smell, verry hyrdating and lightweight
Disadvantages: have to use with other dermalogica products not so good on its own

...dermalogica active moist is recommended for skin prone to oiliness and is a lightweight lotion which provides daily moisture protection to combat surface dehydration. It contains silk amino acids, and natural botanicals of lemon, cucumber and burdock with no artificial colour or fragrance. It comes in a slim white tube - i do hate pot moisturisers they seem so unhygienic so this was great in that respect and it really lasts for ages despite the steep prices dermalogica products do work out to be quite economical over a long period. Always get your skin mapped by a dermalogica professional before purchasing to avoid all that trial and error when you start using a new regime.
