If you have Sky or Freeview you can pick up some of these new stations on your TV but that is not very portable if you want to listen to the radio in the bath for example. There are some attractive radios out there, such as the wooden Pure Evoke and the trendily retro Roberts' ones that sold for £80-100. They looked great but I didn't feel I could justify the cost. ...Having just sold my 1990 "Lotus Racing Green" Lotus Elan S1, I thought I'd share my experience of owing this ground-breaking car. The Lotus brief was a two-seater roadster that would appeal to the American market. With this in mind, it's easy to see why the cabin appears so spacious - American's don't like to be cramped! The windscreen is shallow-angled and you get the feeling of being in a much larger car as the dashboard stetches away in front of you. The driving position is "proper sportscar", low slung but extremely comfortable - the drivers seat on some examples can benefit from minor TLC having been subjected to ten years or more of use. The comforting smell of fibreglass as you enter the cabin is one common to all Lotus', but on particularly damp days, can be overridden by the gentle waft of damp carpet! I've never met...

Pure Heaven

...Pure Poison by Christian Dior, an interesting name for a perfume I thought, and one that I definitely had to sample. On initial spray, it was very strong and I wasn't too sure it was for me, but it was one of those perfumes that you continue to sniff as time passes and it takes on a different form, and you end up liking it more and more. Review of Pure Digital Evoke 2

The Pure Highway saved my life

Advantages: Very Portable and very easy to use
Disadvantages: Suffers from poor signal in some remote areas

...I use the Pure Highway every day in my truck and I have to say it is brilliant. It tunes into a spare FM band on my in cab radio and sounds first class. It is so easy to use and looks great as well. The Pure Highway fits into a small space on my windscreen out of the wiper swipe and keeps me legal. The Highway takes its power from the cigarette lighter and has an internal Arial that is fixed to the windscreen. I found this system ok for most journeys but when I was in more remote parts of the country I suffered from digital drop out. The pure allows you to fade this rather than here that awful screeching sound. I eventually purchased an outside Arial that fits on the cab roof via a magnetic base. This allows me 100% coverage all over the UK so far. I rely on my Pure Highway every day and I have to say it has never let me down...

...Some time ago, when I walked into my Local (Cambridge) HMV, I noticed some posters advertising a little card, ?HMV Pure Points?. I wandered what it was, and so when I was paying for my purchases, I enquired with the guy on the tills. The Basics HMV Pure Points, as the name might suggest, is the reward card offered by the shop HMV. Like all other reward cards, you earn points when you spend money in store, or online, the remuneration rate is 1 point per penny. So, spend £2.99 and get 299 points. The first difference to other reward cards, is that it costs money to join, currently this is £3.00, though when I joined, it was £5.00. However, what is a bonus to that, is that the spend gives you your first points. Since I had spare money at the time, I signed up straight away, though, I guess it could put some people off...
