...I got this PDA primarily becuase I wanted a mobile phone which I could also use as a GPS Sat Nav. It has a large screen which displays colours excellently and although it only has a 1.3 mp camera, when displayed on this screen the picture quality is super clear and you'd be deceived into thinking it was a much higher resolution. The PDA has bluetooth so all I had to do was to purchase a bluetooth GPS receiver and install the SAt Nav softwate (have to buy separately - I use Tomtom as it's awesome). When working the Sat Nav is excellent and the large screen makes it easy to view. There are two problems with this phone and the first reared its head not long after buying it. That is it tended to crash a lot so that the screen froze and I had to send it back to the manufacturer. Since then it still crashes occasionally, maybe twice...

I was due an upgrade and so went about finding out what was about and more importantly what the costs where going to be, I started looking at the nokia phones to start with I really love their phones, they way that they are designed and the use of use with their standard menus. I used ZiPhone to unlock mine from AT&T in the US for use in Ireland. Out of the box the iPhone is intruative (It has to be as a Manual is not included in the box). The box included a small quick start guide, a headset and the various connectors. Set up with iTune is a breeze even for a newbie. The Home Screen on the iPhone differs from most WIndows based Smart devices as a simple press closes the running program down. iPhone I like

Advantages: Modern technology, amount of software and number of devices.
Disadvantages: No protective case.

It does not come with a case, I bought a leather one for £20.00. Charging is easy and the fingertip instructions are easy to follow to start you off. I think it is good value for money considering the innovative technology and all of the features you get with it. It is neither a mini laptop or a PDA but definitely a good combination of useful organisational and communication tools. I definitely recommend it. Is it value for money? Well you get a mobile phone, camera, ipod, surf engine, and all the other stuff I mentioned above so I will say yes. It also looks stylish in silver and black and the sound quality is good, it comes with earphones also....

Iphone- A phone with great features

Advantages: Touchscreen, Many Features, Excellent sound quality

...So I managed to get my hands on an iPhone, and in true Geek style wanted to bring you my first thoughts on the must-have-phone from Apple. Being so keen to bring you the details, you are getting this even before I have had time to take photos of the iPhone. This is the first Apple product that I have ever had that hasn't had photos taken first in its virgin, fingerprint free state. That should give you some idea of how excited I was after opening it. The iPhone form factor is superb, in fact a lot slimmer than I had expected. The actual screen real estate makes it comparable to the sleeker PDA's available today. The rounded corners make it feel smaller than it actually is. In the hand, it is weighted just right and feels (as Apple products normally do) like a really high quality product. Apple are taking technology in mobile phones way further than other brands I feel, ok there are flaws but where there are flaws there are exceptions with other cool gadgets that have made me completely forget about comparing it to my previous mobiles. The iPhone Masterpiece

Advantages: Visual beauty, ipod perfection, photo demon, movies screen, internet anywhere! PERFECT!
Disadvantages: cost and network locking (easily overcome) and ringtones (overcome aswell)

...This is the pinacle of phone, music player, video player technology. I can not believe how much stuff is wrapped into this beautiful device. okay first, there is the look. Now i doubt you will be able to find anyone who doesnt think this phone is gorgeous. It has an overall of 4 buttons and a switch. 1 for the home screen, 2 for sound, 1 for on and off and the switch to mute sound. The rest is controlled by your fingers on the 3.5" touch screen. It is beautiful peice of engineering technology. The touch screen is "clever" it know when you touch once, it knows when you pulling across the screen, it knows when your pinching. This is due to a sensitive electrical sheet underneath the glass, yes glass, that is connected to the apple mac os x system. It is stunning. Advantages: unbelivably sexy and beautiful, wonderful internet and video / music
