At the moment after 6 months of being used as a moblie office, my battery is still able to last around 48+ hrs. Of couse it is to be expected that the bttery life decreases if left active or bluetooth, wi-fi or infrared red are left on. All in all this device has been a life saver, i am glad i bought it and dont regret a thing. Definatly worth the money and a must have for people looking for a first PDA or Pocket PC....

The only difference between the H1940 and the H1945 is one was originally sold in the USA and the other destined for the European market. It's a bargain price for a start; I picked up mine on eBay 2 years ago for £40! It's particularly sleek by comparison to lots of more expensive PDA's, slim and light too. Qtek 9000 / o2 XDA / SPV M5000

Advantages: inbuilt Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Disadvantages: very slow, low battery life when wifi and bluetooth are turned on

...processor and this runs pocket pc 2003 excellently. If you are considering spending alot of money on a windows smart phone like this one then i would recommend the O2 XDA mini / MDA Vario. I tried the XDA mini out in an o2 shop recently and it was brilliant, the operating system is slightly different to that of the Qtek 9000 and it runs alot smoother! Another disadvantage of this phone / PDA is that, when the screen is flipped up and the phone is in the shape of a laptop computer, typing is ok when the phone is in your hand, but when you get an option on the screen, you have to take one hand off the phone and reach to the back of the phone for the stylus, so that you can tap the option on the screen. I find this extremely fiddly and annoying, but when you flip the screen around and use it like a normal PDA, then you can use the stylus alot...

I mean, it's far better then a diary because if you're anything like me, you probably end up misplacing your diary and I wouldn't dare think of losing my pocket PC. You can easily access the internet from wherever you are, if you need to look up tube/train times at last minute, you can. If you perhaps want to just research something at a particular moment for example in a pub quiz - I'm not saying you should cheat at pub quizzes or anything - well they're easy anyway...

...This was my frist ever hand held PC! I was absolutely amazed by it's processing power and capabilities as a really small computer system. This comes with 64mb of ram however quite alarge amount of this gets taken up by the sytem itself, so in essence you can only really store two mp3 albums on it's internal memory alone. This wouldn't be an ideal MP3 player or movie player, it'd have to be strictly work and documents! There are many add on programs that you can get for these little critters, my favorite is SPB Pocket plus, you can then add themes, wallpapers and all the system info is included on the desktop. The problem with this compared to todays new PDAs is that it doesn't have wireless or bluetooth connectivity which is a bit of a downside if your using it in conection with your pcs at home or at work and if you want to...
