...Getting there Our family stayed at the Queen?s Hotel Bournemouth for 2 nights back in May 2007. The drive down from North London is 112 miles and took around 3 Hours 20 Minutes which included a 30 minute stop over. The Hotel is located on Meyrick Road, just a minutes walk from the sea front and a 15 minute walk to the Pier. There is room for about 15 cars in the car park at the front of the Hotel, with room for a further 20 cars at the rear. This is free to use for guests and you give your car registration details when you check in. The hotel has 109 rooms and deluxe suites situated over 4 floors. There is a lift near the reception to all floors except lower ground which has just 6-8 steps, so the Hotel is ideal for the elderly. Advantages: Beautiful location
Disadvantages: Parking facilities, but thats it!

...Situated alongside the picturesque River Ouse, the Queens Hotel, York is in a key position within central York. All local amenities are yards away, and the city centre is only across a footbridge! York railway station is located approximately 0.5 miles away, so this is perfect for a break without the hassle of driving. Leeds and Bradford airport is only 24 miles away, and can be reached then by taxi, public transport or even hire car. However, if you do want to drive, the motorway junction (A1) is around 11 miles away. All rooms are equipped with en suite, tv and tea and coffee making facilities, but im sure you will only use these at night, as there are so many other places to eat and drink. A Palatial Hotel fit for a Queen

Advantages: A wonderfully characteristic hotel

...Carmona is a town with a very long history and is situated about 30km east of Seville. It lies astride the NIV Seville-Cordoba highway so the town is very easy to find. The Alcazar de la Reina Hotel is situated in the heart of the old town. It's not hard to find as it's more than adequately signposted, but it's still a bit of an ordeal driving to it. The old town was not designed with the automobile in mind (in fact I doubt whether the wheel was even invented when much of this place was built!) and you must negotiate a torturous and convoluted route through the incredibly narrow streets and lanes (all one way). The streets are so tight, it could be quite hair-raising - I don't have much hair so I was alright. ...My wife and I stayed at the Queens Hotel on a Saturday night, in mid-May. The hotel is quite modern, having been converted from an old warehouse in recent years, and is only 4 storeys high. It is right in the heart of the city centre, within the city walls, and is on the riverside overlooking the River Ouse. It stands directly opposite the Kings Arms pub, which is famous for getting flooded after prolonged periods of heavy rain. The Queens Hotel stands on Queens Staith, however because it has been fairly recently converted is designed not to be adversely affected by high water. As it is in the city centre there are loads of pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants, as well as 2 theatres, 2 cinemas, various museums, including the Jorvik Centre as well as the Minster etc. all within a few minutes stroll. ...I would like to tell you about my recent holiday to a 5 star hotel in Turkey at the resort of Side. The hotel is called the Sunrise Queen and can be booked by JMC .My family and I booked this hotel a year ago, and at the time we were told how lucky we were as we had booked the last two rooms. While there our rep did say that the hotel was over booked, and that the reps would be asked to move out. On arrival we had been delayed and didn’t arrive at the hotel until after midnight, yet tea and coffee as well as a small salad and bread selection had been laid out. While we sipped our coffee the bags were taken to the rooms without any delay. A hotel Fit for Queen

Advantages: comfortable, well situated, good value for money
Disadvantages: none really, too expencive if you just looking for a place to flop

...This really is an exceptional hotel. Built in the last days of the Austro-Hungarian empire it has survived the communist years to emerge,recently totally renovated, to be by far the best hotel in Slovenia's capital Ljubljana. Rated 4 stars its likley to go to 5 stars following the Queen of England' s recent state visit to Slovenia when she stayed two nights at this hotel. The rooms are very large and ,as mentioned above, recently renovated, The one we stayed in was pleasently different from the usual hotel room design with a central island holding the TV above and the mini bar below. The room lighting is worth a mention, all types of light were available from soft mood to bright working light, wall lights , hidden lighting and bed side lights . Only thing missing from the room was a tea and coffee service,but in my experience...

...So, I'm sat here having been tasked with performing a full hardware audit at our parent company's various sites spread throughout the UK. Oh the exciting life I lead! The Brighton office is one of the larger ones and as such, required an overnight stay in the seaside resort of Brighton. So, preamble over, I checked into the hotel having spent pretty much a whole day on the train to get down there. Greeted by an almost entirely eastern European staff, my suspicions were raised. Previous experience has suggested that budget, mediocre hotels are often run poorly by eastern Europeans. I only paid £59 for my bed and breakfast stay at the hotel. In any case, check in was smooth and I was given my big old fashioned key to my room and told that it was on the third floor down a miriad of corridors. I was shocked to say the least...

King of Queens

...King of Queens is an American sitcom set in New York. The King in question is Doug Heffernan and the Queens they relate to is actually the suburb of New York he lives in with his wife Carrie. I think this title is a really clever play on words and sets the scene for quite a funny sitcom in my opinion. Doug and Carrie are the main couple in this sitcom and it?s really them that the whole show revolves around. They have a nice relationship but bicker like most couples and they really play on each others stereotypes to get the laughs out of the audience. For example Doug is rather fat and so they definitely play this up on the show. He is generally always eating my Carrie facilitates this by buying him or making him his favourite foods.
