Quick and tasty Chilli Con Carne

...I love spicy food and I love cooking but I work very long hours and just want to veg in front of the tv when I get in. I hate ready meals, I think they are tasteless and overpriced. Plus they don't leave me any leftovers to take to work for my lunch :-D To solve my tea time dilemma I have been experimenting with a few of my favourite recipies. Most cookbooks have so many stages and lists of instructions that it takes forever to follow them. I was sure I could simplify some of them and this chilli recipe is one of my successes. You don't need to stir and simmer after adding every ingredient - I have made it their way and my way and no one can tell the difference apart from they don't have to wait 2 hours for their dinner! ...I would just like to write a review on one of my most favourite recipes that is not only quick or easy to do, but is also cheap and somewhat healthy. It is scrambled eggs on either toast or waffles (or whatsoever it is that you enjoy), as it seems to give me a lot of energy just before I am due to go in to work. I have never ever written a recipe down before, so do please bear with me. What you need before you start: First off, decide what it is that you are going to have them on! As I said, I enjoy either toast or waffles, but of course one takes longer than the other. Eggs - I usually tend to do three per person, and even then it never quite seemsm to be enough! MICROWAVE CLOOTIE DUMPLING

Advantages: Made in minutes rather than hours
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

...difference from a Christmas pudding in that it has a 'skin' around the outside when steamed and dried properly. The clootie dumplings I remember, which my grandmother baked, only ever had one sixpence in them and it always mysteriously managed to be in the pudding bowl of whichever grandchild was having the birthday at the time. When I started making clootie dumplings I used my grandmother's recipe, which was very much of the style - a handful of this and a handful of that - and it used to steam away in a jelly pan in the kitchen for hours on end. I then moved on to a recipe that would steam in my pressure cooker for about two hours. However, I now steam my clootie dumpling in the microwave and the steaming time is down to approximately 7 - 8 minutes. Isn't progress wonderful!!!!! The quick and easy recipe I intend to share...
