Getting the 'Write' start!
Advantages: fun and educational
Disadvantages: none
...My four and a half year old daughter is just at that age where she is starting to be fascinated by writing. She can now write her own name and a few important words like 'mummy' and 'daddy'! Most of all though, she just loves to 'write' her own stories which can go on for pages and pages. For people who don't know any better, they might just think these are just squiggles on the page but don't be fooled for a minute! As far as my daughter is concerned this is real writing!
For Christmas she was given a writestart kit which is actually going to help her with the mechanics of writing and should hopefully help her a lot when she starts school after Easter. The kit contains a 24 page wipe clean book, a mark on/ wipe off pen, a triangular pen grip, a cloth and some dinosaur stickers!
The booklet is spiral bound and all the pages are quite...

Start and never stop!!
Advantages: Delicious and stays crunchy.
Disadvantages: Can't seem to stick to the recommended 30g serving!
...Seeing this on offer in Asda on my weekly shop I threw it into the trolley with no hesitation, firstly of course due to the reduced price, but secondly due to me loving this when I was a child!
The product I will now review is - ?Kellogg?s multigrain Start cereal?
This product is currently aimed at people who the product states as ?active people?, but if memory serves me well, this was advertised as a sports cereal when I was a child, though it is still the same delicious and wheat tasting cereal from youth, albeit smaller, although I can?t be sure if they have shrunk or I it is because I have grown!
The cereal comes in the standard box with all the relevant information, with the afore mentioned slogan emblazoned across the front, yes I am active, though not so much by the time I eat my bowl of cereal, usually at suppertime...

Start the day refreshed
Advantages: leave the skin fresh and clean
Disadvantages: adhesive strip doesn't stay sticky for long
...'t at all harsh on the skin. The scent of these wipes is mainly from the natural ingredients and is very fresh and revitalising.
Disadvantages
- The adhesive strip doesn't stay sticky for very long so the wipes dry out unless you pet them in a different container.
- They are not the best at removing some types of make up, especially mascara and eyeliner.
- They are only available at Boots chemists.
Do they live up to their claims?
For moisturising the skin, they certainly work as I have pretty dry skin and these wipes have never over-dried it, so a bonus there. When it comes to removing make up, I don't think their claim of removing every last trace of it is very accurate as I am often left with slight traces of make up left on my face and I hardly use any to start with.
Overall I am quite satisfied with these cleansing wipes...

TV Quick
Advantages: *
Disadvantages: *
...I still live with my parents and this is the TV magazine that they buy. I don't see the point in buying another TV magazine just for me. I read this magazine more than I actually watch the television. Due to exams, drama, sign language and ciao I don't watch very much television. However, every now and then I do sit down and watch an episode of Eastenders or Coronation Street, with my mam. I don't need to watch every episode to know what is going on. Apart from the fact that usually nothing much is happening, I can read the TV quick to catch up.
TV Quick come out weekly and costs 70p. We get it delivered from our local newsagents with our newspaper. We usually get it on the Tuesday, before the TV listings in the magazine starts. I say magazine because it is more than just a TV listing.
To write this review I'm looking at a copy...

Chickenfeed - a Quick Read!
Advantages: An enjoyable read suitable for everyone!
Disadvantages: That I had initially dismissed 'Quick Reads'
...on a true story. I started it as my train left Workington and finished as we arrived in Carlisle (50 minutes).
My thoughts now on 'Quick Reads'
I think they are excellent, even for avid readers like myself. Sometimes I want a book which won't take days or weeks to read, perhaps something to read in between reading another book. I will certainly not dismiss 'Quick Reads' which I come across in the future, and will certainly get ones written by authors which I like.
I will certainly be promoting the scheme to people who say "I don't have time to read" or "I get bored reading a whole book". With quick reads you can read a whole book, and not have time to get bored! Ideal for when you're waiting for something, or perhaps when you're ill and want a light read.
For those who do struggle with reading, I think it's fantastic...

You wanna play with me HOW quick?!
Advantages: A fast & fun game that makes you think.
Disadvantages: You could end up stamping your feet!
.... If it is pressed or goes off itself you then go on to the next round. There are 30 seconds in each round before it goes off.
۞ LETS START PLAYING! ۞
Place the 88 letter tiles face down. Each player draws 22 tiles and leave them face down. (If you have 2 players the remaining tiles will remain unused.)
From this 22 you then draw 6 to start. Press the green button, turn over your tiles and let the fun begin!
The idea is to use 5 of these tiles to make a word or words crossword style before the timer sounds. If you do then press the red button. This ends the first round. At the same time you each pass a tile of your choice on to the player on your left and draw 2 tiles from your orignal 22. You have to be quick though because as soon as you hit the red button, it starts the next round and you want as much time as...

A good place to start
Advantages: Good starting point, provides feedback on exercises and good for monitoring your progress
Disadvantages: Inability to link exercises together to build up a routine and might get too easy over time.
...to giving you your Wii fit age.
There are four categories of 'games', yoga, muscle exercises, cardio and balance games. The yoga starts extremely easy i.e. breathing but quickly gets much harder and more demanding. The muscle exercises seem to work a wide variety of muscles and vary in difficulty. If you're finding them too easy there's the option to increase the number of reps. The cardio seems to be more about rythm than actually working out, particulary the rythm boxing and step game. The balance games are just a bit of fun, and are better as a group exercise.
While it provides a good starting place for exercise, I think the option to build workout routines would be really handy because it gets quite annoying moving through the menus and listening to the introduction and feedback for every activity you do, and makes your workout time...

VisionQuick , great idea but not for me!
Advantages: Very wide range of styles and designs at competitive prices
Disadvantages: Cannot deal with bi focal or vari focal glasses
...VisionQuick was a new concept to me, an online optician who makes up your spectacle prescription and offers a wide range of frames at less than high street prices. My partner had had his eyes tested locally and we decided to check out VisionQuick as he knew exactly what he was looking for, flexible frames with no particular designer label.
How to use the service.
The website is attractive and very easy to navigate. They claim to be one of only a few on-line retailers that is actually backed and owned by qualified and practicing opticians.
To use VisionQuick you simply need to send your prescription from your own optician. This must be up to date, under two years old. You then chose your frames from the vast selection on offer, VisionQuick will then produce your new glasses to the requirements of the prescription...

Quick reviews
Advantages: Quick and easy
Disadvantages: Possibly innacurate and can't be deleted if posted by mistake
...Hi, following feedback have moved what was originally here in the correct section - hope that helps!
With regards to quick reviews, I am quite new here, but I think they can be useful, in that someone with little experience such as myself can quickly add comments about a product without having to worry too much about how t do it. The downside is that perhaps, as suggested in other posts, it would make people lazy and perhaps it is good that people have to learn how to post properly - as I am doing at the moment! I would say though, that with such a feature it might also be useful to be able to delete the review too - quick reviews might be posted by mistake if someone is in a hurry. Unfortunately that happened to me!...

I have an assortment of colouring crayons some from stART. These crayons in my draw are a couple of years old, I am not sure where I got them from but it would have been in the high street. However you can buy them on line.

These colouring pencils are long thin ones about 18cm long by/2 a cm in diameter. These pencil crayons have a hexagonal barrel this is a natural colour with England start colouring and a number printed on it. The end 3 cms of the pencil is coloured the same colour as the lead to...
