Q.V.C the channel for me

Advantages: No queues or crowds, products demonstrated,entertaining to watch, prompt delivery
Disadvantages: high p&p charges, some shows long winded and boring

...I don't know why, but I've always been a fan of mail order shopping..the choosing, the waiting, the parcel arriving on your doorstep..I guess it brings out the kid in me! Q.V.C is my favourite shopping channel because although there are many others, it is one of only three that are available on cable television as opposed to sky satellite..The other two IDEAL WORLD and BID-UP are nowhere near as good. Q.V.C is the longest running of the shopping channels having been on the air for more than ten years. Q.V.C offer a wide range of merchandise that is shown in shows of its type...for example jewellery, and each show usually lasts for one hour. UPDATED QVC You Might Be Surprised

Advantages: Hassle free shopping
Disadvantages: None really

...days to try out your purchases and if for whatever reason you're not happy you just send them back. That applies to everything including makeup and jewellery. I don't think Boots would take back a half used pot of facecream after 30 days or can you imagine taking a pair of earings which you had tried on back to the store and asking for a refund? I know what the answer would be! One of my favourite shows is Butler and Wilson who do a unique range of costume jewellery for men as well as women, beautiful ornate handbags,clothes and accessories. Some of his jewellery have become collectors pieces and can be seen on ebay at much more expensive prices than those on QVC. MORE JEWELLERY ???

Advantages: ok to fill the prgramme gaps

...They should rename this channel the jewellery channel. no matter what time of the day or night you tune in or in my case flick past, there's always jewellery on it.and its not even real gemstones most of it is cheap and tacky imitation jewellery .you have Kirk's folly's which are the most hideous pieces of jewellery i have ever seen, nothing you would be caught walking down the road in, and discovering diamondique which is another tacky range of false jewellery but people buy them. if i wanted a cheap pair of earrings i would go down the high street and buy a pair from accessorize for a fiver not phone QVC and buy a pair for £45. Come on QVC lets have some proper items not just jewellery....

QVC Quite a Valuable Channel

...I have watched QVC for nearly one year now, and yes I have been tempted a few times and ordered a few of the products! I have found the delivery particularly quick and effecient, also when you have to return something it is as easy as they say on TV. On the whole it had been a trouble -free way of shopping for me, and as my health has been considerable under par, shopping centres and travelling to them have been off my agenda. I have been very pleased with some household cleaners I ordered, carpet shampoo, stain removers, etc., and also some jewellery I ordered for presents at Christmas time. QVC.UK - like Christmas each time I go to the post office !

Advantages: Professional, helpful company with a great website and shopping channel
Disadvantages: My living in Spain and not being able to order fresh products!

...I have been shopping with QVC.UK now for over 5 years. Living in Spain, even near Gibraltar, it is hard to get some tried and trusted cosmetics, household goods, clothes, shoes, gardening items, household linen - the list is endless! but, as long as it is not too heavy, or a fresh product (i.e. fresh plants and bulbs which I only wish I could order!) or foodstuffs, you can get it at QVC.UK and they will send to Spain. As a "shopping chanel" they are on 24 hours per day, although repeats are show from 02.00hrs to 08.00 hrs, 364 days of the year. I am addicted to their beauty and fashion, and have a lot of their jewellery. Price wise I think they are exceptional. Advantages: Cheap jewellery, very easy to understand & reasonable postage costs
