(+) Great pictures, brilliant macro, 7x optical zoom, optical image stabilisation (-) Flash can be covered with a finger by accident (*) (On Ciao since: 09/2006)
Advantages: Great first timer camera with easy to use functions Disadvantages: Hard to see screen with sunlight behind you
...This has got to be one of the best cameras I have ever used. It has so many easy to use features and is especially ideal for those with little or no camera experience. This camera is ideal for taking pictures of everyday life, and I have found it is especially good at taking close up pictures of family and for days out. It is so compact and the accessories available are compact too. Compared to my other camera Canon EOS300D, this actually does better photos and better quality pictures.
There are also many little extras and I especially like the small compact tripod for night pictures etc since it is foldable to approx 5 inches long and comparable to carrying a couple of biros.
Overall a five star product, nicely designed and at a great price. Well recommended...

Review of Ricoh Caplio R5
Advantages: Great value for money, High resolution, Wide zoom, Large Screen Disadvantages: No rangefinder, black and white manual
....1x optical zoom is a lot more than 3x or 4x which is standard in most other digital camers these days. This is because it allows you to take pictures of images very far away which you would have to move much closer to with a camera with only 3x or 4x times digital zoom. Another point is that this camera is very easy to use, and desptie the large range of functions and features this camera has, It is very easy to use them and I have only had to consult the guide manual on very few occasions. The camera also has a very nice look to it and is also very slim, the same thickness as most other digital cameras.
The 2.5" tft screen is also very useful and is large enough for you to be able to take very precise and accurate shots as well as being able to use the colour balancing features to the greatest effect. As well as this, the lithiom ion...

Review of Ricoh Caplio R5
Advantages: Very easy with many functions. Disadvantages: None
.... The cheapest price (£39.99) is very reasonable for what is actually included in the razor, as it glides comfortably across the skin with no irritation, and this is what most men look for in a razor. The product is available quite easily from amazon, but is also sold in other shops like john lewis. There are 7 basic rotart shavers available from remington, from the steel series, to the titanium series, then to the diamond series, the R7 diamond series being the most advanced and therefore expensive, and the R1 steel series being the cheapest but therefore also havin the the least to offer. Information of all of these products are available on the remington-europe home page.
Hope this has helped....
...I had a three door 1.7 GTX R5 from new, this being my first new car. Ironically, my old warhorse MK1 Golf GTI had finally gone west ,and without a large deposit, a new car was the only one I could afford ( you know, £99 down etc.)
Despite foreknowledge that Renault's build quality was suspect, the car never gave any problems in that direction. Having some aspirations to be top-of-the-range along with the GT Turbo, it felt OK, but this could have been down to better sound-proofing. Slamming the doors soon showed it up.
The combination of small car with large engine was great (in straight lines, at least). I used to have great fun on motorways, after being flashed to get out of the way by some fat git in a Jag. I'd accelerate AND pull over and watch them wheeze past at about 1 mph more than me! In power to weight, it was about...

Review of Renault R5 GTE
Advantages: Great pictures, brilliant macro, 7x optical zoom, optical image stabilisation Disadvantages: Flash can be covered with a finger by accident
...The Ricoh Caplio R5 offers a rather different take on the quality digital camera from most manufacturers. With the product a year old, it's a bargain at £120-150, giving both simplicity and optional SLR-like features and playing to Ricoh's extraordinary strength in macro photography with a 7.1x optical zoom and highly effective optical shake reduction technology.
I spent a few weeks researching the market and trying cameras in-store, but here was my frustration: I wanted far more than the usual 3-3.5x optical zoom, but not in a package that I'd have to think twice about carrying. My trusty film SLR is great for planned photo trips, but I wanted my next digital to give me high quality pictures everywhere and anytime.
Playing with this camera alongside the other high quality brands, I immediately noticed that the quality of instant...

Review of Ricoh Caplio R5
...Renault 5's where first introduced to the car market in the eighties. They where billed as cheap to run and insure, they where nippy and yet comfortable. Gosh where they right. I have owned my R5 for just over 4 years now and it still runs like a dream. For a little over £700 can you moan? no!
I have got a White Renault 5 Campus 1.1L, which does about 45 miles to the gallon, which I think is great. It is a very nippy car also, reaching speeds of over 60mph in just over a minute and a half. I find, that the faster you drive the thing, the less fuel it consumes, which is odd but anyway.
The suspension and drive train is great. The suspension is very soft but the only thing I hate is that when you are going up a hill, the front of the car seems to lurch up wards and the back suspension seems to take all the weight and it is...

Review of Renault R5 Campus
Advantages: great, fun, sexy Disadvantages: Interior and clutch
...I have a 1.4 R5 campus Prima
She is blue, an L-reg, (94) and as of april 04 only has 34,000 miles on clock, no joke!
She is so quick off at traffic lights, tried to beat a subaru but thats just hoping too much! Have got 105 out of her on motorway (obviously not cos that's illegal) felt like i was flying, was racing a clio, just kept leavin it for dust especially uphill!
Shame bout the grey bumper, can't do a lot about it, have tried back to black but the bumper was never black so just goes dark grey for a week then then back to normal.
Always starts even after sitting idle for 3 weeks in winter outside. Better than my dads Audi A3 which we have to keep jumpstarting with my car. hehe.
Interior is a bit drab but the ride makes up for it, corners like its on rails, don't go too fast round roandabouts like me, you wil know...

Review of Renault R5 Campus
Advantages: Versatile, economical car Disadvantages: Rust, rust, rust
...There are not many Renault 6’s left on the roads nowadays which is a pity. The one we owned was a 1972 model finished in (very) pale blue.
The car was a slightly larger, squarer version of the Renault 4. It had an 1108 cc engine but in its form did not push out much more than 50bhp. As the car was a five-door it was a little underpowered the car was at its best just pootling along. The 5-speed gearbox was connected by an umbrella type gear level which pushed through the centre of the dashboard at the top. This arrangement did not lend itself to quick changes up through the gears. The car also had a pull-out handbrake lever so there was nothing between the two front passenger seats which made it cosy in the lay-bys of life.
The car was a budget car. Renault still continue their tradition for no-frills motors though their...

Review of Renault R5 TR
Advantages: Goes like the wind. Fun to drive Disadvantages: Poor reliability. Not practical (But still fun)
...~ ~ The Renault 5 “Gordini” Turbo was the predecessor to the highly rated and successful Renault 5 GT Turbo. This car was one of the very first hot hatches, and spawned such competitors as the Volkswagen Golf GTi and the Peugeot 205 Gti.
I bought my “Gordini” in the late 1980’s. It was a 1984 model, and one owner, with average mileage. (about 50K, I think)
Like a lot of the cars I have owned, this car was bought on impulse. I was indulging one of my hobbies, namely nosing around second hand car lots, when I spotted it sitting tucked away in a corner. It looked different to the standard models, which is what first caught my eye.
~ ~ A half-hour test drive later and I was smitten. This was/is a SERIOUSLY fast little car. It boasts a 1.4 Litre turbocharged engine, which when given its head, could compete...
