...This is by far in away the best racing game that i have played in a long time on any format. The graphics are spectacular, the secenery surrounding the tracks and the cars themselves are brilliant. There is a large selection of cars of many different types and quite a lot of tracks. I particularly like the ability to create your own team as part of the career mode, this lets you paint the car pretty much any colour you like and as you win more races pick sponsers to provide money. However this game is quite arcadeish with how it goes about things. There is no qualifying to decide the grid, you seem to start where ever it feels like putting you and there are no set up options for you to fiddle with and ruin the performance of your car. ...I rented this from Blockbuster for a whole week and couldn't stop playing on it. Great game!! This is a good all round game.The story is based around you starting off as a rookie driver and racing for other teams. Once you have a sufficient amount of money to purchase your own car then you form your own team and compete in different racing events in three different areas, Japan, USA & Europe. With each area you achieve different levels of licences. Licences are achieved by earning a set number of respect points from the races you take part in. Once a new licence is earned this opens up 9 new events for you to take part in. Once you've earned your first licence this allows you to take on a team mate which can earn you a lot of money in some cases but also drag you down if you make a poor decision on you driver choice. Storyline First off the storyline is very interesting, because it engages you into the story, by using a Audio Naming system (As long you are on the list you can use your name, or use a nickname). ...A really good racing game. Recently bought it after playing the demo numerous times, and in all fairness this game really is the greatest. I was lucky and managed to pick it up cheap from Ebay. So glad I did! I have longed for a racing game with just loads of different things to do. From race at different venues, different cars, different types of races, to include the drifting challenges and the destruction derby races. I also like the fact that you're able to customize the paint job on the car from hundreds of colours and designs it really is fantastic! Toca Race Driver 3 - Amazing Game

Advantages: Lots of cars, tracks, and good graphics, the real driving experience
Disadvantages: Some races easy at start of game

This mode puts you as the driver at the start of your racing career, and there are short videos with feed back of how you are getting on, some can be quite funny. The controls do take some getting used to, but after half an hour racing around in time trial mode you will get the hang of it. (The controls are very sensitive, but i feel it adds to the overall driving effect, as the car does what you want it to do) Although with some time working with it, you can change the settings, i feel it is always better to just get used to it. As with all driving games, formula one etc, you have the option to change the gearbox to a manual, but this game also gives you the more complicated option of a manual gearbox with a clutch.
