...This is by far in away the best racing game that i have played in a long time on any format. The graphics are spectacular, the secenery surrounding the tracks and the cars themselves are brilliant. There is a large selection of cars of many different types and quite a lot of tracks. I particularly like the ability to create your own team as part of the career mode, this lets you paint the car pretty much any colour you like and as you win more races pick sponsers to provide money. However this game is quite arcadeish with how it goes about things. There is no qualifying to decide the grid, you seem to start where ever it feels like putting you and there are no set up options for you to fiddle with and ruin the performance of your car. ...Race Driver Grid is an excellent new offering from those who used to offer us up the TOCA racing games all those years back. This is a terrific game with numerous different racing styles, glorious graphics, amazing audio and such an addictive speed about it. The racing varieties available mean that every racer should be covered and with a different feel to each different racing variety you never get bored or feel like you understand the full dynamics of the game. ...After spending hours and literally hours in my room on my ferrari steering wheel on the first toca race driver i became extremely anticipant of the next race driver game because the original had alot of longetivity in it with over 10 championships and different types of cars. ...A really good racing game. Recently bought it after playing the demo numerous times, and in all fairness this game really is the greatest. I was lucky and managed to pick it up cheap from Ebay. So glad I did! I have longed for a racing game with just loads of different things to do. From race at different venues, different cars, different types of races, to include the drifting challenges and the destruction derby races. I also like the fact that you're able to customize the paint job on the car from hundreds of colours and designs it really is fantastic! Toca Race Driver 3 - Amazing Game

Advantages: Lots of cars, tracks, and good graphics, the real driving experience
Disadvantages: Some races easy at start of game

...One of the best racing games that i have ever bought. All of the cars on the game are very realistic, with several different driver views for the user to really get in the car. the game has the usual time trial format, and has a section where you can unlock new cars and types of races. Ranging from GT races with TVR Tuscans and Chevy Corvettes, through to racing formula one cars right back to the 1960's, off road races with buggys and monster trucks, rallying and even karting. I would say that the track races are better than the rally stages. There is then the career mode, starting at the beginning driving slower cars which are simple to drive, in races that are not difficult, gradually getting onto more difficult races and cars. At the start of the game, you will probably find the races very easy, and you can win in a one lap race...

Advantages: Looks great, Sounds great

...Race Driver Grid, or just Grid, is the latest racing game to come from Codemasters, unoffically its TOCA 4, but don't tell anyone. The game offers (almost) everything you would expect from a arcade/simulatuion racer and throws in a few twists of its own, including the Flashback system which we'll talk about more later. The Career mode of the game, the heart of most simulation racers, is confusing at first but after a few races you realise how solid it is. Originally you only have a choice of racing for one of 3 driving teams in one of their cars, this continues for a bit and also allows you to jump into some great cars early on (including a Forumla 3 car). When you finish a race you earn reputation depending on the country you raced for and also some money, earn enough reputation and you'll progress to the next stage of the career...

A huge improvement overall than Toca Race Driver 1

Advantages: Storyline far less cheesy than the first game
Disadvantages: Tad too easy, crash damage not as impressive as first game

...I was hugely excited when this game came out, after enjoying the original so much. And like the original, this game comes with the tangent from the original type of driving game with a storyline to follow alongside the gameplay itself. Although a good idea at first impressions, it was a good idea, the original game's storyline focused not on you, but Ryan McCane, a wingy American driver. However, this time, you are spoken to directly in 2, which makes the interaction far more personal. Your lack of speech does seem to make you a rather quiet character though!
