...Midtown Madness 3 was the very 1st game I played on my x-box, and it still is my favourite. In this game there is a huge variety of races to complete. You can work undercover, you can take part in single races and you can play with friends on Multiplayer. You can chose from Mini Coopers to Garbage Trucks to race with. And in each of the game types you can chose where you want to race. There is a huge selection of races in both Washington and Paris. Working Undercover. In this section you get assignments to different jobs. In each job you get three races. Once you complete all of the three races you unlock a new job and a bonus race of the same job. ...I borrowed this off a mate in 1998, and he hasn't had it back yet! This involves some of the characters from the Nintendo games throughout Nintendo's life - Diddy, Yoshi, and Mario to name but a few! Cuteness aside, this is a great little race em up! The one player game is an adventure where you race to win balloons, which let you into different races. There are also trophy races where you race all four races in a Zone, and win a trophy for winning all the races. This game comes into its' own in the multiplayer. You can race upto three of your mates in the races in the adventure. You can have weapons to sabotage your friends, and win the race. ...This course gives a very interesting spin on concepts of race and ethnicity. It teaches the history of colonialism and imperialism, ethnicity and globalization, and theories of race and ethnicity. By taking this course, which is an MA, it has enabled me to see how the idea of race has been embedded in our society even though the concept of biological race does not exsist. The course is thouroughly enjoyable and opens up lively debate, as race permeates into many aspects of society. The advantages of this course is the ability to look at things analytically instead of taking things at face value. ...Gran Turismo 2 is the best and most realistic game around today and boy is it good! you start the game of with £10,000 to buy a car with to start racing, there are then a couple of tracks to race your new car round. But to race in the championships and big races you need to pass your driving test well infact there are 4 to pass with each pass comes a load of extra races for you to race in. The races normally have 6 cars in and can last 2 or 3 laps, then there are rallys to compete in and also in GT tradition endurance races which can last up to a couple of hours. When you win a race you are credited with some money and sometimes you win a new car. When you race the differant cars you will notice that they respond and feel differant. ...With so much competition in the racing game genre R Racing doesnt stand out. The car physics look arcade and the story mode is good, you race many different cars as you progress through the game. There are so many well done arcade racing games on sale and the developers of R: Racing Evolution know it. They have made a good effort to make this game different from other racing games, however despite the innovation, it is the basics of racing the game fails to deliver. Aside from the story mode there are several other modes including : Time Attack, Event Challenge, Vs. mode, and an Arcade mode. In story mode you play the role of Reena an ambulance driver and racecar driver. This mode contains 14 chapters in total and has a great storyline. ...crash team racing is a fun filled game for all the family, the karts are easy to control the game has great graphics and is a long lasting game. You have 5 modes of play :-Adventure is a 1 player game wher you try to win lots of races in order to race bosses and unlock secret characters. There is also a time trial where you set a time and try to beat that time again until you are the master of the race track.There is also an arcade mode where you and up to 3 of your friends can race against the computer and each other. Then there is the versus mode where you can race against all of your friends on a track of your choice. Then the best of all is the battle mode this is 2-4 players try to be the first to kill the other players the most in a set time or if not no time.... Read review

...i have to say im not a big fan of racing game but my friend let me borrow this and i was amazed. This is the best racing game ive ever played and is thoroughly enjoyable and fun. The gameplay is very realistic and your car responds to damage unlike some racing games- this make the game much more realistic and better to play in my poinion. The graphics are mindblowing especially with the blur motion effects. The storyline is quite good and this is probably one of the best racing games on the xbox 360. I think it is much better than need for speed or forza. Some people get put off because of the limited selection of cars and tracks but the game is actually amazing. Overall it is a fun racing game for all ages and i definately reccomend this.... Read review

Advantages: Great fun to watch, you will never have seen anything like it.
Disadvantages: Can take a while to clear up after a race (especially after a caravan race).

...A sport that is not talked about much is 'banger racing' This is normaly the last journey a car goes on (unless they are fortunate to be used for more than one race meeting). Depending on the prize money on offer, sometimes some wonderfully prepared cars turn up. The best cars are the old Jaguars, the old 3 litre granadas and some of the old big japanese cars. Depending on the race though sometimes they have under 2 litre or under 1300cc classes. Banger racers are carefully prepared cars which the drivers can spend hours working on before the race. Banger racing has to be one of the best forms of motorsport to watch live, allthough it is a bit sad when you see an old Rolls or classic car being banger raced, allthough last year at my local track (ringwood raceway) they had a great hearse and limo banger race. ...Toca two offers Hi-res graphics, remodelled tracks, easy controls and real visual damage. The game is fantastic as there are a variety of tracks and cars to chose from. Also there is a two player option with is excellent. Included in the games is superb sound like explosions and the smashing of glass. Also there are multiple difficulty levels in the game. Overall the game is very original and will keep you entertained for a long time. In Toca 2 there are 5 main types of races. Championships were you race in a sprint race and a feature race at each circuit. The Challenge mode is where you have complete 2 laps of a circuit by passing through checkpoints. Disadvantages: Twenty Pounds per Month or £200 per year.

...If your a fan of horse racing and youve got digital, then the big question is do you fork out £20 per month for The Racing Channel or watch almost the same amount of racing for free on attheraces. You see, each of the two channels has the right to show the racing from different courses around Britain and atheraces also show most of the racing from Ireland and some from America too. At first glance £20 a month may seem a lot, especially when some of the Racing Channel races can also (especially on a saturday) be seen on channel four for free also. However I would still recommend the Racing Channel to you. That is because some of the bigger courses with the best racing can only be seen on that channel and although you may be able to see the big races on channel four the Racing Channel shows all the meeting with regular repeats of each...
