Disadvantages: Only one...missing the usual range of toiletries

...We loved this hotel, ideally located for everything you'd need for a weekend visit to London. On the doorstep you have museums (we visited the British Museum to look at all the plunder of the Empire), theatres, shops (Oxford St), and all manner of touristy distractions! The hotel itself was beautiful, very elegant and tastefully decorated, with a marble lobby and very attractive artworks. As you move away form the lobby, the decor is less impressive, but still very nicely done in the Edwardian style. Our room was small but perfectly formed, with a large bed, dressing table, double wardrobe, tea and coffee facilities, mini bar and TV. An iron andironing board are provided, along with meanding kit and trouser press, all the things you'd expect. The room was very clean and the sheets a luxurious satin-cotton. Lovely...

  Radisson SAS Portman Hotel

Advantages: Location, Location, Location
Disadvantages: Pricey-ish

...This weekend just gone me and the missus thought we'd go off on a short break in London. We chose the SAS Portman Hotel since its location was fab and the price fell within our budget of £300 for 2 nights. We had heard only good things about this one so we booked at Lastminute and paid £240 for a Superior room with breakka. Or breakfast, in English. If we had booked through the hotel's own website it would be nearer £300. Where is it, then? The hotel is located just off Oxford Street, opposite Marble Arch tube station. It has easy access by tube, since Marble Arch, Bond Street and Oxford Circus are within walking distance, and many buses stop nearby. Even night buses! I don't need to tell you how good Oxford Street is for shopping.... but I will. All the major chains are there, plus its home to some of the biggest department stores...

The Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf

Advantages: Stunning hotel, big rooms, security is good
Disadvantages: Room Service and Reception staff don't care!

...The Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf is a luxury 4 star hotel. I stayed in this hotel just 2 weeks ago for one night at a price of £150 - I had this on Last Minute.Com as a Top Secret Hotel. I chose this hotel due to the close location to the O2. The location is spot on with fantastic views, little did I know that between the hotel and the O2 is a river! This meant 2 tube rides to get to the O2. The hotel is very glamouros, clean and has good security. Check in is at 2pm, I arrived at 1:55 and they wouldn't allow me to check in - bit mean I thought! Check out is at 11am. They did take my luggage from me while I sat in reception until 2pm. The rooms are very modern with a bathroom that has a shower and a nice deep bath. You have a flat screen tv, access to the internet (you have to pay) and a CD player, alarm...

Relax at the Radisson

...~ Introduction ~ I recently returned from a holiday with my parents. We stayed in this Hotel in Nice, France. We stayed in a Radisson SAS in Amsterdam several years ago but other than remembering that it was a positive experience I don't remember a lot about it so I can't really compare the two. I was looking forward to staying in the hotel and I was pleased it was only 10-15 minutes away from the airport by taxi. My dad booked the hotel (along with the flights) online and he also booked out taxi so it was there waiting to pick us up at the airport. The taxi fare was charged to our hotel bill. After we landed and got our luggage we head out of the airport to meet the taxi driver. He was standing with a card which had our surname written on and he directed us outside where we had to stand 5-10 minutes before getting in the taxi...

Radisson Edwardian Sussex Hotel

Advantages: Location, comfort, friendly
Disadvantages: Small bathroom, minibar prices

...regularly with work. The room is air conditioned and has a Bang & Olufsen TV which you can use to select CD's to listen to (at a price) and use the internet, along with the usual films. The wardrobe automatically lights up when you open the door, which is a nice touch, and also conceals the iron & board, trouser press and bath robes. The bathroom although small was exceptionally clean.The shower was powerful and just what you need before and after a long day in the City. The only gripe I have is the price of the drinks in the minibar, very expensive, but then when in London, you do expect to pay more for these services! The bar is modern and trendy and very enjoyable to sit and have a drink. There is a business service room, with free internet access and a printer which is ideal for doing some last minute research on places...

...I am a huge fan of the Radisson SAS & Radisson Edwardian brand. I do like to try different hotels and when visiting London overnight, by far my favourite is Radisson Mayfair. On this particular visit however, I opted to try a different chocolate from the box so to speak... *the hotel* the selection of this hotel was not difficult. As mentioned above, I have a huge liking of all things Radisson and an especially soft spot for boutique hotels. As this establishment fits into both of those criteria and located in my favourite area of my favourite city, surely we were onto a winner? The Mountbatten is named after Lord Mountbatten, the famous favourite uncle of Prince Charles and actually includes memorabilia from Lord Mountbatten's family home. Reliable Radisson

Bearing in mind I do not naturally like travelling to Manchester (it just RAINS too much, alright!), staying in an airport hotel for a week is probably one of the few things that could negatively influence my views on being in the city in the first instance. So I thought I'd hedge my bets, build up some more Goldpoints and stay in the Radisson knowing full well that any pains at work in the week could be reduced in perspective once I headed for my bed. ...This is a review of The Radisson Edwardian Marlborough Hotel - an immaculate 4 star hotel situated in the Bloomsbury section of London. The world famous British Museum is but a hop, skip and a jump away (ok, maybe a 5 minute walk is more appropriate, but it?s very close by!) A stunning black exterior and chic interior certainly indicate an impressive hotel indeed and as you enter, a magnificent marbled lobby greets you... The reception staff and concierge are very friendly, well trained and courteous (always a bonus I find!). Christos and I received excellent service during our stay at the hotel (albeit for one night only!) The room we had was beautifully decorated with traditional English décor and elegant furnishings. LUXURY IN LONDON!

...In the middle of February, I was lucky enough to be whisked away for a long weekend in London with my grandma. I?m a huge fan of west end shows and musicals, and so our trip was booked- we would go and see various different shows. I couldn?t wait to go. One thing I hadn?t thought of before going however was which hotel we were staying in. I reckoned that we wouldn?t be spending too much time in the hotel itself, as we were going to be very busy, so as long as it had two beds, a bathroom and some sort of wardrobe I?d have been happy. I knew the name of the hotel was The Grosvenor, however I didn?t have a clue what its reviews were like, or in fact how many stars it had. AKIN TO "Nice Legs, Shame about the Face"......

Advantages: Very convenient location, free high speed wireless internet throughout, comfortable beds
Disadvantages: Single rooms VERY small, food choice limited and expensive, doesn't strike me as the safest of areas at night

...OK, maybe not quite, but you'll hopefully get the gist A rare requirement to stay in central London; we had a location and needed to find a hotel nearby. I identified Jury's in Great Russell Street, unfortunately it was outside our budget, and we were offered two close alternatives the Russell Hotel or the Radisson Edwardian Kenilworth. Now, possibly naively, I had always associated Radisson with upmarket outlets, but had never stayed in any.
