Radisson SAS Portman Hotel

Advantages: Location, Location, Location
Disadvantages: Pricey-ish

...This weekend just gone me and the missus thought we'd go off on a short break in London. We chose the SAS Portman Hotel since its location was fab and the price fell within our budget of £300 for 2 nights. We had heard only good things about this one so we booked at Lastminute and paid £240 for a Superior room with breakka. Or breakfast, in English. If we had booked through the hotel's own website it would be nearer £300. Where is it, then? The hotel is located just off Oxford Street, opposite Marble Arch tube station. It has easy access by tube, since Marble Arch, Bond Street and Oxford Circus are within walking distance, and many buses stop nearby. Even night buses! I don't need to tell you how good Oxford Street is for shopping.... but I will. All the major chains are there, plus its home to some of the biggest department stores...

A great city hotel - shame about the size

Advantages: A wonderful hotel in a good location
Disadvantages: rooms are on the small side

...I am a huge fan of the Radisson SAS & Radisson Edwardian brand. I do like to try different hotels and when visiting London overnight, by far my favourite is Radisson Mayfair. On this particular visit however, I opted to try a different chocolate from the box so to speak... *the hotel* the selection of this hotel was not difficult. As mentioned above, I have a huge liking of all things Radisson and an especially soft spot for boutique hotels. As this establishment fits into both of those criteria and located in my favourite area of my favourite city, surely we were onto a winner? The Mountbatten is named after Lord Mountbatten, the famous favourite uncle of Prince Charles and actually includes memorabilia from Lord Mountbatten's family home. The Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf

Advantages: Stunning hotel, big rooms, security is good
Disadvantages: Room Service and Reception staff don't care!

...The Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf is a luxury 4 star hotel. I stayed in this hotel just 2 weeks ago for one night at a price of £150 - I had this on Last Minute.Com as a Top Secret Hotel. I chose this hotel due to the close location to the O2. The location is spot on with fantastic views, little did I know that between the hotel and the O2 is a river! This meant 2 tube rides to get to the O2. The hotel is very glamouros, clean and has good security. Check in is at 2pm, I arrived at 1:55 and they wouldn't allow me to check in - bit mean I thought! Check out is at 11am. They did take my luggage from me while I sat in reception until 2pm. The rooms are very modern with a bathroom that has a shower and a nice deep bath. You have a flat screen tv, access to the internet (you have to pay) and a CD player, alarm...

Radisson SAS Hotel Berlin. An oasis of calm in a bustling city.

Advantages: Stylish hotel in a superb location. Unique feature of huge aquarium in hotel atrium.
Disadvantages: One bed rather than two pushed together would have been nice!

...the total for two people for two nights but does not include breakfast.) Its not cheap but for the comfort and superbly convenient location I think it could be considered reasonable value. (Little side point here - the cost of using the observation lift in the aqaurium is not included for hotel guests.) Would I recommend this hotel? Well for couples or friends visiting Berlin for a sight-seeing weekend............go on.......give yourselves a treat. Just a note: this hotel is in the throes of being "re-branded" as the Radisson Blu Berlin....

...****Radisson SAS Hotel London Stansted Airport**** Earlier this year i stayed in this hotel and i thought it was great. **Location/Getting there** The location of this hotel is fantastic!! It is literally a two minute walk from the airport and as such is obviously the closest.Not sure how to get there by anything other than plane but i did notice that it had ample parking .If you wanted to stay in this hotel you could probably get the train to the airport and it is signposted from there. **Reception/staff** The first thought in my mind when i saw this hotel was WOW. The design of the building is really nice and i think (don't quote me on this) it has won awards.Staff in 4 star+ hotels are usually nice and this is no exception.On the way to the lifts you pass a wine tower-it is about 13 meters high and people (well staff) go up...

Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, London It's More Than A Hotel!

Advantages: Pleasant Staff, Good Customer Service, Nice Breakfast
Disadvantages: Expensive

...The Victoria Park Plaza in London is an amazing hotel that has very comfortable, quality rooms and staff who are friendly and professional. The best thing about The Victoria Park Plaza is that it is in a prime position just two minutes from Victoria Station and an easy walk to some of London's main attractions. I found it perfect for shopping and buying souvenirs. There were also quite a number of restaurants close by and my mum who cannot walk far didn't complain once. Although we ate at the hotel we also sampled London's China Town. It is a four star hotel and lives up to the standard. It is situated close to Buckingham Palace, Harrods, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament. The hotel does not allow smoking anywhere near the building which my mum and I really appreciated because we are both none smokers. The smoking ban made...

...~ Introduction ~ I recently returned from a holiday with my parents. We stayed in this Hotel in Nice, France. We stayed in a Radisson SAS in Amsterdam several years ago but other than remembering that it was a positive experience I don't remember a lot about it so I can't really compare the two. I was looking forward to staying in the hotel and I was pleased it was only 10-15 minutes away from the airport by taxi. My dad booked the hotel (along with the flights) online and he also booked out taxi so it was there waiting to pick us up at the airport. The taxi fare was charged to our hotel bill. After we landed and got our luggage we head out of the airport to meet the taxi driver. He was standing with a card which had our surname written on and he directed us outside where we had to stand 5-10 minutes before getting in the taxi...

RADISSON SAS HOTEL, BELFAST - Top Class

Advantages: Good central location
Disadvantages: None that I could see

...I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed myself. I thought the best way to tell you about it was to break it down. So here goes !!! ********COST************ A very important factor for us all. I paid £180 for the 2 nights and Buffet breakfast was included. It was on the Magic Weekend Package that I booked over the internet. Personnally I thought this was a very good price for 2 adults for 2 nights to stay in a top class hotel in the centre of Belfast. *************LOCATION************ Well I think the next important thing is location and this hotel is ideally positioned. It was easily within walking distance of the main centre. The hotel is no more than 10 minutes from City Hall. One of the things I also like about this hotel is the fact that although it is central it is out of the way of Belfasts hustle and bustle...

Superb London Budget Hotel

Advantages: Beautiful setting in a buzzing part of London
Disadvantages: Not suitable for disabled people - no lift

...The Ashley Hotel is a superb, well-priced B&B hotel in a gorgeous location in central London. It is situated in Norfolk Square, Paddington, and is just 2 minutes walk from Paddington station. Paddington itself is a buzzing district of London adjacent to the West End, and is packed full of shops, restaurants, bars etc. Norfolk Square is an oasis of tranquility amongst this. It is a square (obviously) of tall, elegant Victorian mansions, all of which have been turned into budget hotels. The hotels are painted white and cream, and have tall windows and beautiful old railings outside. In the centre of them all is a railed garden.
