Radisson SAS Portman Hotel

Advantages: Location, Location, Location
Disadvantages: Pricey-ish

...This weekend just gone me and the missus thought we'd go off on a short break in London. We chose the SAS Portman Hotel since its location was fab and the price fell within our budget of £300 for 2 nights. We had heard only good things about this one so we booked at Lastminute and paid £240 for a Superior room with breakka. Or breakfast, in English. If we had booked through the hotel's own website it would be nearer £300. Where is it, then? The hotel is located just off Oxford Street, opposite Marble Arch tube station. It has easy access by tube, since Marble Arch, Bond Street and Oxford Circus are within walking distance, and many buses stop nearby. Even night buses! I don't need to tell you how good Oxford Street is for shopping.... but I will. All the major chains are there, plus its home to some of the biggest department stores...

Radisson SAS Hotel Berlin. An oasis of calm in a bustling city.

Advantages: Stylish hotel in a superb location. Unique feature of huge aquarium in hotel atrium.
Disadvantages: One bed rather than two pushed together would have been nice!

...the total for two people for two nights but does not include breakfast.) Its not cheap but for the comfort and superbly convenient location I think it could be considered reasonable value. (Little side point here - the cost of using the observation lift in the aqaurium is not included for hotel guests.) Would I recommend this hotel? Well for couples or friends visiting Berlin for a sight-seeing weekend............go on.......give yourselves a treat. Just a note: this hotel is in the throes of being "re-branded" as the Radisson Blu Berlin....

RADISSON SAS HOTEL, BELFAST - Top Class

Advantages: Good central location
Disadvantages: None that I could see

...I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed myself. I thought the best way to tell you about it was to break it down. So here goes !!! ********COST************ A very important factor for us all. I paid £180 for the 2 nights and Buffet breakfast was included. It was on the Magic Weekend Package that I booked over the internet. Personnally I thought this was a very good price for 2 adults for 2 nights to stay in a top class hotel in the centre of Belfast. *************LOCATION************ Well I think the next important thing is location and this hotel is ideally positioned. It was easily within walking distance of the main centre. The hotel is no more than 10 minutes from City Hall. One of the things I also like about this hotel is the fact that although it is central it is out of the way of Belfasts hustle and bustle...

Relax at the Radisson

Advantages: Nice hotel, friendly staff

...~ Introduction ~ I recently returned from a holiday with my parents. We stayed in this Hotel in Nice, France. We stayed in a Radisson SAS in Amsterdam several years ago but other than remembering that it was a positive experience I don't remember a lot about it so I can't really compare the two. I was looking forward to staying in the hotel and I was pleased it was only 10-15 minutes away from the airport by taxi. My dad booked the hotel (along with the flights) online and he also booked out taxi so it was there waiting to pick us up at the airport. The taxi fare was charged to our hotel bill. After we landed and got our luggage we head out of the airport to meet the taxi driver. He was standing with a card which had our surname written on and he directed us outside where we had to stand 5-10 minutes before getting in the taxi...

Advantages: Location to airport, landscaped gardens, quiet location
Disadvantages: Dirty rooms, very well used, small beds, expensive, remote

...OVERVIEW I just did a search on Ciao and noticed that there were no reviews for the Radisson SAS hotel in Co. Limerick in the Republic of Ireland and so I thought I would share my own personal experiences of the hotel in the hope that it will help others that are thinking of staying at the hotel, or at least help give a more informed opinion. When I booked to stay at the Radisson Co. Limerick in September 2007 it was advertised as a 4 star hotel on each of the websites that I looked at. I see that Ciao is now listing it as a 3 star hotel which has prompted me to write this. SAS Radisson hotel in Beijing

...We stayed at the Radisson SAS Hotel Beijing for 6 nights on our travel to Beijing in March 2003. We stayed there from march 15th. The hotel itself doesn?t have a great location. It is located next to ring 3 on the northeast of Beijing. But this was not really a big issue because there were always taxis outside the hotel and it was easy to get into the center of town. It cost about 20-30 RMB to take the taxi into Tiananmen square. It is also possible to take the subway to get around. First you have to walk for about 15 minutes to get to Liufang station. From here you can get to the loop line and then switch to Line 1. The lobby of the hotel is standard. ...Quite possibly one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable and could not be faulted, we really felt special. The room was beautiful (NB: request a high floor room to get great views). I believe there are a few different themes to the rooms. Ours was fab. With designer Missoni wool cushions and coordinating blankets that I sooooo wanted to take home! Widescreen wall mounted TV, mini bar (dare you use it), ironing board, safe. Lots of wardrobe space. We got a great deal on this as we bought a voucher via ebay which meant we got 2 nights for the price of one, with breakfast, plus champagne on arrival (after 5 hours stuck in the snow it was very much appreciated!) Radisson SAS - Taba Egypt

Advantages: Beautiful setting, clean hotel
Disadvantages: Entertainment was poor

...I stayed in this hotel in October 2005 on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is rated as a 5 star and it certianly was. All the rooms were very clean and were attended daily by the cleaners who did a very thorough job, often leaving flowers on out pillows which I thought was a very nice touch. The hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere, there is absolutey nothing to do in the area but I think the hotel more than accomodated for this. The hotel had its own night club, 2 bars and 2 restaurants. It also has its own Ampitheatre although the shows they held there were quite poor but still we found it worth going for a laugh! We stayed on an all inclusive basis. The food was to an ok standard, I am vegatarian and I found that there were not that many choices for me and also the food was not labelled and it was often difficult...

Nice modern hotel with good location

Advantages: The easy internet connection, room was very nice
Disadvantages: Had to walk for a while to get to the room

Radisson SAS hotel have free WiFi access and it was just a matter of putting in the surname and room number to get access to the net?it is always nice to be online even if you are away from home. The desk also contained a water boiler in case you want some tea or coffee. If you are entertaining visitors there are also a nice light brown leather chair and a two seat sofa around a small glass table. The room also contained a door out to a small veranda where you could overlook the atrium. I?m not sure this has much function but the view was nice. The bathroom was with dark tiles on the floor and light tiles on the walls. There was a large mirror area around the sink and enough lighting. I don?t like the Radisson hotels bathroom amenities by the way. There are small containers of shampoo and shower soap but they are container where...
