GT Aggressor XC2. What a Bike for the Money

Advantages: Strong Frame and Wheels, Tyres do not let go
Disadvantages: None really!!

...Bought this bike with my work cycle to work scheme. A great buy from Halfords. Excellent speck for the price and a very strong bike. I'm 18st 10 (253 ibs) and in my opinion this bike can handle this weight easily. Great colour Black with like a Pearlesent White, Very good speck components, Shimano Deore derauillers and Sram Truvatic Crank. Hydrolic Brakes and Discs. These will stop you instantly and do tare a little time to get used to or a flight over the bars could come along. These sqeak when covered in Muck and Water for the first few occasions, but when used this disapates. Wheels are Alex DP17 rims, Strong, Maxxis Ingnitor Tyres Grip like hell. Suntour XCR forks are ok for Cross Country riding, Not a great Jump fork, but hey Im no Jumper! (I think that if yoiu are lighter than me you could have some safe landings with these...

Raleigh, Getting shabby with age

...After having my Raleigh viper stolen from my garage, i decided to claim on the insurance and get a new one. I went down to halfords and was looking around, the raleigh stonefly seemed to catch my eye with titanium frame, alloy wheels, V-brakes, front suspension, 21gears and generally a good looking mountain bike, when i got home i assembled it and then started riding it, i had been riding it for about 3 days when my pedal bent off. This to my surprise was because Raleigh had made the pedal bars with a cheap, soft metal. So i took it back to Halfords and asked for a repair or replacement, which i got. Few weeks later, riding down a hill, put on my brakes and suddenly the back wheel buckled, so once again went back and got a replacement. 2 days later, was riding again and the chain kept falling off on the front gears because it was...

Review of Raleigh Stonefly

On Yer Bike!

Advantages: Great fun, slow, Harry loves it
Disadvantages: Noisy, siren is a pain

...Now, Harry isn't what I would call a daredevil. In fact, he's not into anything that moves too fast or does things that he doesn't expect to happen, pretty much like any 2 and a half year old I expect. So as you can imagine, I wasn't overly thrilled when I found out last year that Harry's great aunt had bought him a motorised motor bike. Please bear in mind last Christmas he was only 21 months old and consequently pretty small and unconfident, but nonetheless, the Halfords Mini Racer Bike was on its way to us courtesy of my parents. It wasn't something we expected to keep for long but funnily enough, its now become Harry's favourite ever toy! The Halfords Mini Racer Bike is available from the Halfords website, and in-store but I can't really say I have ever seen one when I have been into a Halfords. My brother works for Halfords...

Raleigh, the place to party...yet relax

Advantages: Beautiful scenery, yet plenty of entertainment around
Disadvantages: The 'Americanisms' that can be picked up!

Review of Bicycles

So good they tried to steal it twice.

Advantages: speed, style, comfort
Disadvantages: tedious to remove chain guard

...My previous bikes had always been "not quite right" so had undergone various modifications, but they still fell short of what I really wanted. The Raleigh Pioneer 160 was the first bike I've ever owned that almost perfectly matches my requirements. The only modifications I've needed to make are the addition of: wheel reflectors, a large bell, bar ends, a bungee cord, and dynamo lights. Further testament to the desirability of this bike can be had from the thief who stole my first one from my own back yard and had to haul it over high walls and a roof. In fact, it is so good that after the insurance company replaced it with the same model, someone tried to steal that one too. This bike is fast and comfortable. ...I have recently bought this bike from Halfords and I am very pleased with it. I originally had an old Raleigh bike, and after that broke on me after many years of use, I decided it was time to treat myself and get a new bike. I did abit of research and landed on this bike. I'm glad I did. The bike looks like it means business. It has front suspension with a lock out facility, which is especially useful when climbing uphill. The Shimano Deore gears work well, and their isn't any annoying noises or squeaks so far. Even the hydraulic gears work silently. The price did frighten me at first, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for I recommend buying a heavy duty lock for it aswell. I am very pleased with this bike, so much so that I am hopefully going to compete in the London to Brighton Cycle RIde...

dutch bike hire in London: a real rip-off

...Last weekend, me and my friends decided to go for a tour of Regent Canal by bicycle, and therefore we looked for a bike hire service in London. Between all the websites we found this one, an appealing website with photographs of fantastic dutch classical bikes for hire in London. The website shows photographs of really nice and stylish bikes which are for rent at a decent price, 25 pounds per day per bike if you hire them for 1-3 days. Even though there were cheaper options we decided to treat ourselves for one day and choose one of these appealing bicycles, just to make it a really unique experience for one day! If only we knew! The delivery process is quite straightforward, you choose a bicycle and they deliver it to you wherever you are in London with a little van. And here we had the first surprise: they delivered to us 3 bikes...
