...I bought a Playstation 3 New Years Eve and had Sega Rally as a free game with it. I had Sega Rally on the Dreamcast so wanted this game for a while. You can play as one or two player (quite a few of the driving games are one player only, so this is an advantage). If you play as one player obviously you have the whole screen and you have a co-driver giving directions. In one player you can play; championship and win points to unlock other championships. Quick race - Alpine, Canyon, Arctic or Tropical. Time Attack custom your own car, You are the only car on the track trying to achieve the quickest time, you can post your time online or download a ghost car to compete against. Sega Rally (PS3)

Advantages: 2 player Mode
Disadvantages: Low standard game all round.

...Everyone remembers this game at the arcades; the original Sega Rally arcade game was a revolution, as a child sitting in that bucket seat gripping the steering wheel like your life depended on it. So when I see this had been released you on the PS3 I immediately went out and bought it. And that's about where the excitement ends unfortunately, the game is a real disappointment, yes there's plenty of cars to choose from but I found the track were rather predictable and the game play was not as good as it should have been for a next generation game, the championship mode is fairly difficult to begin with and gets even harder as you progress and unlock more races. One good thing about the game is the head to head mode (as many racing games on the PS3 are one player unless you're prepared to go online.) There is definite fun to be had...

Advantages: Good Graphics + Sound. Realistic Co-Driver. Out on Budget
Disadvantages: Driving school is a lot worse than it could have been

...Colin McRae Rally is one of the best racing games I have ever played, and now particularly it is on budget at a very reasonable price I would urge anyone who is slightly interested in motor sport or any racing related computer games to get out and buy it! Before you feel like trying to mix with the big boys for real in the rally championship why not try a course at Colin's Rally school? This could have been done better, but you can get the basics like hand break turns done to perfection. Still nothing beats racing for real and the school if truth were told is pretty lame. There are a total of 56 tracks spread through actual countries in the world rally championship, including Australian, Monte Carlo, New Zealand, Greece, Corsica, UK, Indonesia and Sweden. ...I bought World rally championship from ebay as i have played this on my sisters playstation 2 and i thought it was a great game. I paid around £5 for the game and is one of my favourite games i have for my playstation 2. You can choose from a selection of cars like peugeot, ford or a skoda there are several tracks to choose from monocco, Sweden or kenya. You can play in 2 player mode which can be a great way to play against friends. You can change how you see out of the car like if you just wanted to see the road or the road and the bonnet or the whole car. ...After playing Colin McRae Rally , I thought why not treat myself so I went out and bought myself the then new version Colin McRae Rally 2 from a local shop. I was really impressed with the gameplay, graphics and sound. But then again I had to be after paying over £30 for it. First I had to set up my car, which was quite fun, It took a while to get all the formats of the car which then helps you to get the optimum car set-up. Sega Rally incredible game but little too hard.

...Sega rally is indeed a magnificent game to look at with stunning car models and breath taking environments, however that is not to say it could be improved upon. I own this game and when i first started to play it was pretty difficult however with about four or five go's you will get th hang of it and when you do it is incredibly fulfilling to see your car go through a bend smoothly, and without hitting any walls. The car models look great and there are many cars to chose from ranging from the average rally car to the classics. A party piece of sega rally is that the environment reacts to the car e.g. mud and dirt fling onto the car and are then washed of when you travel through a puddle, its is fantastic to see. Good old fashioned rally driving arcade game!

Advantages: Very cheap now, fun gameplay, lots of tracks to choose from
Disadvantages: All cars are four wheel drive, bit too arcade, co-driver is a bit slow!

...WRC II Extreme is a rally driving game which is the official WRC game and covers the 2002 season. Cars There are 7 teams that you can choose to race for in this game and they are Ford, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Hyundai, Citroen and Skoda. There are unlockable cars which are more powerful versions. Unfortunately, there are no historic cars such as the Mini, Lancia Stratos, Ford Escort and Audi Quattros. This is a big shame since all the cars in the game are four wheel drive and therefore similar to drive. Drivers Interestingly on the box it states "21 official drivers", note it doesn't state "all drivers" or "all drivers from 7 official teams". One famous name does appear in the game and that is a certain Colin McRae. Perhaps this is because he was having rally games released under his own name at the same time...
