...The Victoria Park Plaza in London is an amazing hotel that has very comfortable, quality rooms and staff who are friendly and professional. The best thing about The Victoria Park Plaza is that it is in a prime position just two minutes from Victoria Station and an easy walk to some of London's main attractions. I found it perfect for shopping and buying souvenirs. There were also quite a number of restaurants close by and my mum who cannot walk far didn't complain once. Although we ate at the hotel we also sampled London's China Town. It is a four star hotel and lives up to the standard. It is situated close to Buckingham Palace, Harrods, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament. The hotel does not allow smoking anywhere near the building which my mum and I really appreciated because we are both none smokers. The smoking ban made...

Ramada Encore the place to be

Advantages: close to central london, amazing value

...Ramada Encore is a fantastic hotel to stay in. We were celebrating my boyfriends 23rd birthday and wanted to stay in a nice hotel, which was easily accessible to London. This hotel is amazing as it was easy to find and in a perfect quiet location to relax in. The exterior was amazing and the interior even better. The room was beautiful. Very modern and contenpary, and very clean. The staff were wonderful. Very polite and attended to your every need. The breakfast was tasteful and the restaurant was absolutely amazing. the food tasted so amazing. I would defiantly recommend staying in this hotel and will even be coming back to for my birthday. Location brilliant as it had a tube station near by making London accessible. Amazing hotel at an excellent price. Defiantly two thumbs up....

...While touring Germany last year, we wanted to break our journey from Berlin at a convenient spot. But we wanted somewhere we could spend a couple of days and have enough to do. After a bit of research we decided on Goslar, in the Harz mountains. Rather than staying in an hotel on the old town with some historic character, and ricketty floors, we opted for something more modern in the shape of the Treff Ramada which we managed to book direct for only 53 euros per night room only. Paddington itself is a buzzing district of London adjacent to the West End, and is packed full of shops, restaurants, bars etc. Norfolk Square is an oasis of tranquility amongst this. It is a square (obviously) of tall, elegant Victorian mansions, all of which have been turned into budget hotels. Apex City of London Hotel - outstanding

Advantages: Lovely staff, beautiful rooms, modern hotel

...We wanted to stay somewhere in central London that was value for money, and found this brilliant hotel for only £69 per night. We booked directly with the hotel itself, and while the system can be a little frustrating the transaction went through smoothly. This was in December 2008, so we didn't expect any decent hotels so close to Christmas to be so cheap. While this hotel is a little out of the way of main attractions it is close to the Tower of London, and to Tower Bridge and easily accessible by bus and tube. On arriving by tube, we found the hotel was alittle bit tricky to find, and were saved only by the fact that by boyfriend's phone has sat-nav! This meant that we were getting to stay the night in London for nothing as we arranged to get a refund from the travel agents for our original hotel meaning the flight being moved worked in our favour this time. *****LOCATION***** The Ramada Plaza hotel, Gatwick is located four miles away from Gatwick airport. When we arrived at the airport we were at the North terminal at which point we took the free train service to the South terminal to take advantage of Virgin's twilight check-in services and get rid of our suitcases. Wonderful hotel in London, I would highly recommend it!

Advantages: Brilliant location, modern rooms, clean and friendly.
Disadvantages: None I can really think of, if I had to mention something it'd be the pricey internet.
