...the action really starts as we see Rambo being helped by the freedom fighters, hiding in there tents, under constant threat from the heavily armed Russian army. **IN CONCLUSION** Rambo 3 is a slight improvement on the previous Rambo but again falls short of entertainment compared to Rambo?first blood. However, the story line is well written and the acting has improved considerably since the previous Rambo, but with questionable stunts and some shoddy death scenes this movie still has it's unintentional funny bits. The scenes in the desert are a little drawn out but when the metal bird from the sky makes an appearance the action really takes off. Rambo, Russians & Afghans

Advantages: Trautman!
Disadvantages: Stallone is wooden and hard to understand

...Take an awful idea then cast a really bad actor who can't talk. And you have Rambo III. Even the title is wrong. We had First Blood and First Blood Part 2. So this is First Blood Part 3. NOT Rambo 3. Not unless they changed the titles of the previous 2 films and never told anyone. Anyway, now that small rant is over lets talk about sex. Well, I wish I could but I've got to review this pile of rubbish first. We start by catching up with Rambo in Thailand and he's earning some money taking part in Mu Tai Stick Fighting so he's a hustler. But he never keeps his winnings, he gives it to the monks because he's living and helping out at a Buddist temple as an odd job man. Rambo 3 loads of action

Advantages: Great action
Disadvantages: none

...a great film as we see the torturing methods of Vietnam. But as he has previous experience, will he provail. My best part is when Rambo starts kicking back in a helicopter. Killing alot of Vietnamese and Soviets. I love this film and give it 10/10. In Rambo 3 we see Rambo helping some Buddhas. When Colonel Trautman asks Rambo to accompany him behind Soviet lines. To get some supplies to Rebels in Afghanistan. Rambo turns him down, but when the mission goes belly up, Trautman is captured and Rambo launches a rescue mission. Will Rambo save him! This film is brilliant. Another encounter with the Soviets. Will he beat them again! My best part of this film is when the tough Russian gets blown up in mid-air by a grenade. I love this film and i give it 10/10....

Disadvantages: Poor DVD quality, Rambo 4 comming out so this is not the complete set

RAMBO THE OAP

Advantages: Good action,good acting direction

PS3 slim

Advantages: Blu-ray, free online, nice extras like vidzone & iplayer. Almost silent operation
Disadvantages: Rubbish controller, still expensive, online nowhere near as good as xbox live

...Well, had the slim for a few weeks now (my 1st ever playstation), personally, I'm a little underwhelmed by it, I've been a gamer since the nintendo game & watch days & owned @ least 1 of the current gen consoles since the Mega Drive(Genesis). Graphically the system has the potential to wipe the floor with the 360, but this is really only going to apply to PS3 exclusives as any software house making a multi-platform game is going to be as cost effective (lazy) as possible & use the same graphics on all the games where possible(ok, they need to dumb them down for the Wii). My problem here is that I have yet to get a game for it that runs in 1080P, they all seem to be in 720P! Why???? I'm sure they are out there, but I haven't found one yet. I guess this is down to most HD tv's being HD ready rather than Full HD. Sound-Yeah, ok...

Disadvantages: Not for those with a weak constitution, loads of blood

...The Rambo series of movies is not one that I would have openly made an effort to watch, as I am not an outward fan of mindless violence. Give me zombies and vampires any day! I think a lot of my aversion to "war" films is the fact that I am married to a soldier, and don't really like to be reminded of the dangers faced, even if these dangers are grossly exaggerated on the big screen. At this point, I must hasten to add that I have never seen any of the other 3 Rambo films. On sale on Amazon UK for £12.98 on a pre-order for the release date of June 23, 2008.
