Davy Crockett ranch - Disney

Advantages: great pool, good cabins and great deals available
Disadvantages: 15 minute drive from main parks

...I went to Disneyland last week with my family and stayed there for 3 nights at the Davy Crockett Ranch. I have now visited Disneyland Paris 6 times and have also been to Disney world in Orlando as well last year. However I have stayed at the Disney hotel and a few of the others but I have to say that Davy Crockett ranch has to be one of the best ones there and certainly my favourite as it has so many great features and offers much more as well as being more free. The Accommodation: When you stay there you will be put in a small wooden cabin in a particular area which are all named such as Tomahawk or Bobcat. Each small 'camp' includes about 50 to 100 cabins all with separate parking spaces and outdoor bins. Inside you have a choice of either a one or two bedroom hut and all of them can sleep up to 6 people, with a double bed...

...House is a fantastic series and I missed the first one but got in to watching this in the second series, so I rushed out to buy the first series box set and I could not stop watching it, it is so addictive. If you love medical dramas then this is one for you as it's not all your normal diagnosis, each episode goes through a new medical dilemma they have to try and solve and they are not your usual colds and virus's. House is a medical programme with a diagnosis to be made, so each episode has you playing doctor trying to figure what has caused the patient's medical condition. A Wooden Album by Crowded House?

Advantages: 'Woodface' includes some of the most sublime love songs ever written
Disadvantages: It's all a bit much and much the same; the tracks that do dare to be different, don't fit

...I think a lot of people under-estimate Blink 182 and judge them just by their more popular release from '99 'Enema of The State' with which they received perhaps their first bout of major publicity and recognition. I have been a great fan of the Blink 182 lads ever since they were still in their original line-up with Scott Raynor on drums. I own 4 of their albums but out of them all Dude Ranch stands out as a musical wonder above the rest. Every song Blink 182 have ever written are great, with simple but effective rhythms and catchy childish lyrics! This immaturity is what makes them so fun and makes Blink 182 what they are, this shines through when you listen to Dude Ranch. ...Having become a big band in the UK in 1999 with the release of Enema of the State, Blink 182’s previous releases probably get overlooked by a lot of people, who have just heard their latest release. The release before Enema of the State, which was released in 1997 and called Dude Ranch just shows you just how good Blink 182 are and I think that this album is better, it is a bit less commercial than Enema of the State. There have also been a lot of people saying that they have left their punk roots, but the music is still the same, just more popular. Today the village comprises of a number small crofts scattered across a large area but if you look closer you will see the remains of many Black Houses interspersed between the more modern houses.
