Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. Where there's a Will

Advantages: Entertaining, informative, a fun read
Disadvantages: Author sometimes appears too good to be true

...Having recently returned from the idyllic Solomon Islands, Will Randall is having terrible time teaching in an inner-city comprehensive. During a class visit to an art gallery a chance encounter with an eccentric Dutchwoman presents an opportunity to escape. The woman is Maria-Helena von Würfelwerfer and Randall agrees to be her chaperone as she travels to India to join her elderly Maharaja lover. Once Maria-Helena is safely delivered, Will finds himself in the unusual position of having nowhere in particular to go and nothing in particular to do - until he is charmed by the children of an ashram for orphans and agrees to become their English teacher. When pressure mounts from local developers the school faces the threat of closure and Randall and the other volunteers come up with a plan to raise the money required to save it...

Our annual summary!

Advantages: entertaining, great length, fab pics
Disadvantages: Nothing from its history

...! This book as a recommended retail price of £12.99. For an annual, I will admit that it is a little expensive! However if you are like me and worship the ground the cast walk on, then it is definitely worth every penny! If you browse, you may even be able to find it as cheap as I did. The only downside to this annual is that there is nothing in it about the previous years in EastEnders, apart from maybe the deaths time line. Other than that, we cannot learn anything about the history of the show. This is an amazingly packed book, perfect for any EastEnders fan! Advantages: This is a book of great interest which dispels all the myths about dying, it is a fascinating read.. a book you just can't put down !!
Disadvantages: If any, the only disappontment I found about this book was, it just wasn't long enough.

Now call me tight (no that wasn?t an invite), but I like bargains and freebies and am not ashamed to say so. My quest took me to enough sites to hire DVDs for about four months so far (with plenty to come too). My latest free DVD site also happens to be the best I have tried for several reasons (see rest of op); the site in question is Blockbuster.co.uk. Other sites that I have had free rentals from and then cancelled have all been similar, two weeks free trial with two DVD?s per time ? which in effect gives you about four free DVD?s. With Blockbuster?s things are different slightly ? which add a great deal of benefit to us the customer.
