Racing dragons - Dragon Booster on the Nintendo DS
Advantages: Multi player function, fun concept
Disadvantages: Poor execution, hard to control, poor graphics, quite repetitive
...This review is for the Nintendo DS game, Dragon Booster, developed and published by Konami Computer Entertainment. Dragon Booster is a racing game, based on the children's television series of the same name.
The aim of the game is that you have to race a dragon and passenger to be the first of six to cross the finishing line. You have to overtake the other five participants in the race as you start each level at the back and have to play catch up. However this overtaking is a little random, as the race isn't linear, and you catch up with the other dragons at a fixed time, regardless of how well you're doing.
When you do catch up with an opponent, you can't really beat them by better racing tactics. Instead you have to attack them with various weapons or by trying to make them fall by blocking the track in front of you. The problem...

Special clearing booster- not much special here!
Advantages: fragrance free
Disadvantages: expensive, irritates skin, didn't clear my acne
...I paid around £30 for this, from a local beauty salon. You can buy this from any local dermalogica stockist (hair and beauty salons) or purchase online. £30 is about average for this product, but you can get it cheaper.
At the age of 26 I suddenly developed acne. It felt and look pretty bad so I decided, being a fan of Dermalogica products, that I would try the special clearing booster.
The packaging is white and grey which are the usual colours used for Dermalogica- it is easily identifiable as being manufactured by this group. Before use you should cleanse your skin thoroughly (Dermalogica products are recommended- but at around £30 for a bottle of cleanser- they would be, wouldn't they?!). It comes in a small bottle (30ml) but a little goes a long way!
The directions do not make it clear whether this should be applied...

Free Ram Booster
Advantages: Speeds up your Pc
Disadvantages: None that I have found
...Does your PC have the Monday morning blues, is it sluggish and cannot be cajoled into life then RamBooster could be the answer for you.
Each program that you start including your operating system consumes a large amount of Ram and soon the demands from your Pc can exceed the amount of Ram available which can make your programs run slowly or not at all and this is where this utility comes in.
The program monitors the amount of Ram that your computer is using and then allows you at the click of a button to free up Ram as and when you need it, so speeding up your programs or you can set it to optimise the amount of ram available automatically.
RamBooster is available as a free download from:-
www.sci.fi/~borg/rambooster
The download time is about 3 minutes and the installation is simple.
Its well worth a try. Baz...

Graco Booster Seat
Advantages: Very easy to fit, adjustable arm rests, cup holders, handy as a spare seat.
Disadvantages: Moves when child first gets on to it.
...As a Childminder I needed a lightweight seat that I could install quickly and easily in to my car.
I bought a graco booster seat from my local Halfords store at £15.50 which I think is reasonable as this in my opinion is abetter quality seat than the cheaper polystryene versions.
The Graco booster seat is ideal as it is sturdy enough for children from 4 years up to 10 years, and weight 15kg up to 36kgs.
It was really easy to install as it just sits on the seat and the strap and buckle fit on to your existing seat belt, you can adjust the height of the buckle on the seat belt to prevent the seat belt going on to the child's neck.
it is a solid but comfortable seat with cup holders which are a good idea, no drinks spilled in the car. and the adjustable arm rests are invaluable as you can set them at the right height...

Solar defense booster
Advantages: light formula, easily absorbed
Disadvantages: expensive
...Every time it comes to summer I go crazy by trying to figure out what sun protection to use and where to find it.
I have very sensitive skin so if a product doesn't suite me oh boy it shows. Not only that but I've been blessed with an oily complexion (apparently ages well but a pain to look after). Because of that I can't just buy anything and get away with it so I have to make careful choices.
I have been using dermalogica products for about 2 years now and I find them to be generally reliable so I decided to had down to my local representative to see what they have available. After a long looking about I ended up with a solar defence kit for £21.95. It does sound expensive but it has four products including after sun lotion so it could be worse.
One of these products was solar defence booster, which has spf 30 if used...

Dragon booster ds review
Advantages: Brilliant Music and sounds
Disadvantages: Terrible Graphics and gameplay elements, No replay Value and Multiplayer is not existent
...Dragon Booster for the DS is based off the childrens cartoon of the same name.
When I borrowed this game at blockbusters I knew straight after I started it up that I was not in for miracles but a more time consuming and bug filled venture.
The thing that kept me going on this game was its brilliant musicals and sound score but apart from this I fell out of love with this game VERY FAST. The television show was based on racing but the boring controls and graphics along with the terrible cliched elements of gameplay makes the whole experience unplayable. Even if you have alot of vehicles at your disposal through hours of gameplay the game has barely any customizational features to keep any gamer interested.
I advise any fan or gamer for that matter to avoid this game unless they want to listen to nice music and sounds from their...

Costner strikes lucky on the Open Range
Advantages: Greatactingsanddirecting
Disadvantages: Very long, simple plot
...The other night I put my feet up with a good bottle of wine and scoured my DVD collection for something I was in the mood for. A while back, I had seen 'Open Range' for sale in a Virgin outlet store for £2, and thought 'Why not?' Deciding I was in the mood for a Western, I popped it in the DVD player and sat back, wondering how long I would last before getting bored. Yet I was surprised to find myself, half an hour later, on the edge of my seat, following a good plotline and some brilliant acting.
Brief Overview
'Open Range' is the tale of a group of free grazing cattle owners. It has Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall as the billing leads, with a host of recognisables in the support cast, including Annette Benning and Michael Gambon.
The Plot
Four free grazers, including Charley Waite (Costner) and Boss Spearman (Duvall), come...

very handy to have - booster seat
Advantages: small to store but very functional
Disadvantages: could be easier to clean
...I have recently purchased this booster seat to take to friends/relatives houses and also for eating out as not everywhere we go either has high chairs or has enough high chairs.
It has a soft padded insert in in addition to the inflatable portion in the seat part whcih makes it a reasonable height allowing my son to reach the table well.
It has one strap to go under the chair and one strap to go round the back of the chair, my son is quite a wriggler so I have made sure he is pushed right up to the table though I don't think he could escape!!
The material on the internal part of the seat could be easier to clean but I didn't have any trouble wiping the spilled food!!
One of the biggest advantages of this booster seat is it's size for storage, it is easy to pop under the buggy if going out or leaving in the boot of the car...

Which Booster Seat to Choose
Advantages: Sturdy, Easily Assembled, Easy to Clean
Disadvantages: Some holes where food falls into for thorough clean you have to take apart
...We needed a booster seat as we were attending a Wedding with our 14mth old daughter. They did not have any highchairs available and we didn't feel it was suitable to use the pushchair or take our big highchair so we decided to find a portable option.
After looking at the makes available (including a new design that you just inflate!) we decided on the Safety First Booster Seat.
It is brightly coloured(green/blue/red/yellow)so appealing to children, and sits on top of any chair with a back. It come in 3 pieces which are easy to assemble together so that you have a back and sides and an detatchable tray. There are straps to secure the seat to the chair and a harness to ensure the child can't climb out (although it is a nice snug fit with the tray on they definately wouldn't be able to climb out then).
To fit the seat you pass...

Extend your Range
Advantages: Easy to install and use
Disadvantages: no major disadvantages found
...Just before Christmas one of my customers rang me up with a problem which he hoped I could solve for him.
A couple of months earlier I have installed a wireless network for him. His home office was in an extension to the main house and he had two computers on desks about ten feet apart.
The network I installed was very simple, I replaced his existing ADSL modem with a Belkin Wireless G Router/Modem which I connected via CAT5 cable to the network port on his PC - the router/modem sat comfortably on a shelf next to his desk.
I set up a Security Key for the network to ensure that no-one within range of the network would be able to access it without authorisation.
I installed a Belkin USB Wireless G Network Adaptor into the second PC and set up the Network Security Key to enable unrestricted access for this PC.
Network...
