...I have wanted a range cooker for several years now and when we moved house I decided now was the time to splash out. There are numerous models and makes on the market and I had great fun researching the right one for our family. I knew I wanted a dual fuel model with a gas hob and electric oven. I love the look and build quality of the traditional aga, but felt the price was out of my league. I visited several kitchen showrooms with range cookers installed and fell in love with the look and build quality of the rangemaster elan 110. Rangemaster also make several other models in their traditional range or if you prefer they make several contemporary models. . Dual fuel Rangemaster cooker - for great cooks

Advantages: Looks good, cooks well economical in gas use
Disadvantages: none that we haqve found

The door fell off my Rangemaster!

Advantages: Capacious ovens
Disadvantages: Strange extra shelves and dangerous doors

...- it turned out it was accurate temperature-wise but slower than the oven I had before. The second call out was because the slim oven door fell off its hinges when the oven was on! Deeply concerning. To give them their due, Rangemaster were very apologetic about this and it was fixed promptly, but this is really unacceptable. So yes, a good cooker, but not without issues to my mind!...

Rangemaster 90 Dual Fuel

...Inspiration Having seen this beast of an oven in a local shop I was hooked and had to ahve it for my new kitchen. I was intrigued to find it cheaper than the £1500 for the version I wanted. Getting the Deal A bit of searching on the net and I managed to get the same oven (black with gold trim), with an extractor and five year warranty on both for less than I could have got just the oven in MF*. Paid for by C/C the company phoned back to confirm everything was ok and gave us a cust ref number and tel number for the Rangemaster Company who were going to make the oven for me from scratch (which if you didn't know is part of the Aga group - can't get much better!). The M100 Lotus Elan: a classic roadster

...Having just sold my 1990 "Lotus Racing Green" Lotus Elan S1, I thought I'd share my experience of owing this ground-breaking car. The Lotus brief was a two-seater roadster that would appeal to the American market. With this in mind, it's easy to see why the cabin appears so spacious - American's don't like to be cramped! The windscreen is shallow-angled and you get the feeling of being in a much larger car as the dashboard stetches away in front of you. The driving position is "proper sportscar", low slung but extremely comfortable - the drivers seat on some examples can benefit from minor TLC having been subjected to ten years or more of use. The comforting smell of fibreglass as you enter the cabin is one common to all Lotus', but on particularly damp days, can be overridden by the gentle waft of damp carpet! I've never met...

RangeMaster 90 - A Master in the kitchen!

Advantages: Looks great, two different ovens, 5 hobs, cleans easily
Disadvantages: Expensive

...When I moved into my new house (a new build on a new development) the kitchen came with the impressive kitchen beast that I like to call the Rangemaster 90 (when I say came free I mean didn't have to pay extra on top of the extortionist price we had to pay for the house). Anyway, I was very impressed by this little fact and that almost sold the house to me then and there, but not quite. If you have to buy them I believe they are in the region of £1,500 but in my opinion well, well worth it if you can afford it. Anyway, I can tell you, I am the envy of all my friends now whenever they come over as after 2 years they still mention the oven as the first thing they do when they walk in the kitchen. According to a recent range cooker survey carried about by Which ? magazine, they voted it best buy August 2007 and for the Toledo 110...

Review of Rangemaster Classic 90 Natural GAS

Can cook six chickens!

Advantages: Great for people who take cooking seriously!
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest oven on the market

...We bought a Rangemaster Elan 90 dual fuel cooker as part of a fitted kitchen we had installed in December 2006 - It has not disappointed us. We take food seriously, enjoy cooking and entertaining, so wanted something which both looks the part and does the job. Whilst we were looking for our new cooker, a sales person told us that with this one, you can cook six chickens at once! So far, we haven't had the need to put that into practice, but don' t doubt that she was correct - six big chickens at that, I think six was a conservative estimate. The cooker is moveable and is fitted with a safety chain to remind you that it is connected to the gas supply! Rangemaster toledo 110 cooker

Advantages: Looks really smart and efficient
Disadvantages: None that spring to mind

...We bought a rangemaster toledo 110 cooker for our new kitchen earlier this year. We decided on the colour of silver rather than stainless steal as this is easier to clean and wipe. The double oven is brilliant and practical. One is fan assisted so is really fast the other is just conventional. They are both large and can easily cook Christmas dinner for a family of 14. Both have large windows on the doors which is brilliant for checking on foods. Built in oven lights too. It also has a separate built in grill. If you need to grill something small you just switch on half the grill - how cool is that? The built in hob on top is lovely. We have electric so naturally have a ceramic hob. This too is easy to clean. There are 6 halogen rings. Two of which you can half on or full on. Beware of scratches though on the g;ass hob. All in all...
