Rangemaster toledo 110 cooker

Advantages: Looks really smart and efficient
Disadvantages: None that spring to mind

...We bought a rangemaster toledo 110 cooker for our new kitchen earlier this year. We decided on the colour of silver rather than stainless steal as this is easier to clean and wipe. The double oven is brilliant and practical. One is fan assisted so is really fast the other is just conventional. They are both large and can easily cook Christmas dinner for a family of 14. Both have large windows on the doors which is brilliant for checking on foods. Built in oven lights too. It also has a separate built in grill. If you need to grill something small you just switch on half the grill - how cool is that? The built in hob on top is lovely. We have electric so naturally have a ceramic hob. This too is easy to clean. There are 6 halogen rings. Two of which you can half on or full on. Beware of scratches though on the g;ass hob. All in all...

Dual fuel Rangemaster cooker - for great cooks

Advantages: Looks good, cooks well economical in gas use
Disadvantages: none that we haqve found

Top of the Range

Advantages: Two ovens, controllable heat, brilliant gadgets
Disadvantages: hardly any but grill not being eye level can be a pain occasionally

...When I bought this I was bowled over by it. Certainly compared to a normal 4 ring cooker and oven it is fantastic. It has 4 normal gas burners and a fifth double burner with wok attachment which is pretty hot. Great for stir fries, less good for gentle simmering e.g. of soup pans because even the lowest setting will cause a soup to burn and stick to the bottom of the pan as it is too hot. A shame as it is the largest of the rings, and size-wise fits a big soup pan or pressure cooker really well, leaving the other 4 rings free for other things. This is a minor issue though. There is a good variety in the kws of the 5 different rings so you can always find the right one once you know the cooker. It also has a slightly useful electric hotplate which I do use e.g. for keeping something warm whilst you dish up other things, and a place...

RangeMaster 90 - A Master in the kitchen!

Advantages: Looks great, two different ovens, 5 hobs, cleans easily
Disadvantages: Expensive

...When I moved into my new house (a new build on a new development) the kitchen came with the impressive kitchen beast that I like to call the Rangemaster 90 (when I say came free I mean didn't have to pay extra on top of the extortionist price we had to pay for the house). Anyway, I was very impressed by this little fact and that almost sold the house to me then and there, but not quite. If you have to buy them I believe they are in the region of £1,500 but in my opinion well, well worth it if you can afford it. Anyway, I can tell you, I am the envy of all my friends now whenever they come over as after 2 years they still mention the oven as the first thing they do when they walk in the kitchen. According to a recent range cooker survey carried about by Which ? magazine, they voted it best buy August 2007 and for the Toledo 110...

Review of Rangemaster Classic 90 Natural GAS

Britannia Dynasty 110 range cooker. Smaller than it looks.

Advantages: Chef top, 6 further gas burners. Looks great. Multi-function oven.
Disadvantages: Very small interior to main oven, very difficult to clean hob and oven floor. Expensive.

...at the front - not helpful when you have more than two things on the go at once! The really worst thing is the tiny size of the main oven. I bought some lovely new James Martin cookware to go with my new range cooker - and the roasting dish doesn't fit in either of the ovens - and the dish is really not that big! My previous 60cm freestanding cooker had stay clean linings and a fan oven and took much larger cooking dishes than I can get into this one. We are very, very disappointed - I always thought Britannia was a reputable manufacturer but I really feel that I have been cheated on this product - bought to increase available cooking space, only to find that it is actually much smaller than comparable products. ...I have wanted a range cooker for several years now and when we moved house I decided now was the time to splash out. There are numerous models and makes on the market and I had great fun researching the right one for our family. I knew I wanted a dual fuel model with a gas hob and electric oven. I love the look and build quality of the traditional aga, but felt the price was out of my league. I visited several kitchen showrooms with range cookers installed and fell in love with the look and build quality of the rangemaster elan 110. The door fell off my Rangemaster!

Advantages: Capacious ovens
Disadvantages: Strange extra shelves and dangerous doors

...- it turned out it was accurate temperature-wise but slower than the oven I had before. The second call out was because the slim oven door fell off its hinges when the oven was on! Deeply concerning. To give them their due, Rangemaster were very apologetic about this and it was fixed promptly, but this is really unacceptable. So yes, a good cooker, but not without issues to my mind!...

This is a cook's cooker!

Advantages: Two fan ovens. Reliable and accurate oven temperatures. Looks stunning. Sturdy and easy to keep clean.
Disadvantages: None at all.

...often I use the second oven in preferance to the main one (something which I never did when the second oven was tiny and not fan assisted) This cooker is extremely well made and sturdy and one thing which I particularly like is the fact that the oven door closes are magnetic. (I know you're not supposed to close the oven door with your foot but we all do it!) It comes in a range of colours (much like an AGA) and a choice of chrome or gold trim; there are also various other ranges in the Rangemaster catalogue which offer the same features but different doors/trim etc. I almost forgot to say that it comes with a plate warmer for the tall oven (I hate to call it the second oven as it is just as good as the main one) a griddle, a wok support and a roasting tin which hangs on a rack on the oven door.
