FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

I Do Love Raymond
Advantages: Some absolutely hilarious and clever episodes
Disadvantages: If you can't get into it, but I don't relate to you
...When I first heard people talking about Everybody Loves Raymond, I honestly thought nothing of it. I presumed it was just another one of those nothing American comedies, and decided I'd just stick to 'Friends' and the like. It was the sort of show people would watch before going to school in the mornings, not the sort of show you'd stay in at night for and with that in mind I never really wanted to make any effort to watch it. Not until having nothing to do in the daytime and sitting down to a Paramount Comedy double bill have I seen what an absolutely brilliant show it is.
The very first episode aired on the 13th September 1996, when I was just 7 years old. From there it went on to be a weekly hit, with 22 episodes making up its debut season. Those episodes are; Pilot, I Love You, I Wish I Were Gus, Standard Deviation, Look Don...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Everybody Loves Raymond - Series 2
Advantages: Hilarious, fantastic characters, critically acclaimed comedy
Disadvantages: None Just watch it
...Rays Here Hahaaa!!
Everybody loves Raymond is an Emmy award winning TV sitcom that ran from 1996 to 2005. It is one of the most critically acclaimed television series of all time, backedy by the number of awards that it one.
The series follows the life of Ray Barone, a sports writer for his own column in a newspaper. He has a wife named Debra, a daughter and 2 twin year old boys. His parents live across the street, and older brother lives with them. Im beginning to sound like the intro of the show lol. The program is based loosely on the event of Ray Romano's life and so are the characters.
"The Characters"
Ray Romano is the protagonist character in the program. His whiny nazal voice, facial expressions and laughs make you in turn smile at the tv and laugh along with his performance. His character is always enthusiastic...

...In 1996 a pilot episode was screened on CBS. At the time CBS weren?t doing all so well. This comedy programme helped change this. Ray Romano a popular American stand-up was given his own show. Everybody Loves Raymond
Advantages: Entertaining, educational and emotional
Disadvantages: Slightly too long and drags in places.
...● Synopsis
When Charlie Babbit (Tom Cruise) discovers that the huge inheritance he believed he was entitled to has been put into trust for an autistic brother, Raymond (Dustin Hoffman), that he didn't even know existed he takes matters into his own hands. Kidnapping Raymond from the care home, that he has lived in for the most of his life, the two go on a road trip back to Los Angeles, and learn about each other and life along the way.
● Opinion
Sometimes the Hollywood glitz machine manages to deliver a film which is not only commercially entertaining but is also educational in its subject matter. One such film is 1988's "Rain Man", an exceptional film which not only won the Oscar for Best Picture but also showed that a film can have everything from a decent story, fine performances, humour, emotion, drama, despair...

'The Bear' dvd - Raymond Briggs
Advantages: Wonderful music, great animation, unique storyline
Disadvantages: None! (maybe the length of it..)
...Having seen 'The Snowman' on numerous occasions and absolutely loving it, I decided to buy 'The Bear' since it was in the sale. I wasn't disappointed!
'The Bear' is based on the book by Raymond Briggs and was released in 1999.
The cover of the dvd case has a blue background with the bear on the front of it and Tilly, the little girl in the film. At the top of the dvd case 'The Bear' is written in large white letters and 'based on the book by Raymond Briggs' underneath it. At the bottom of the case it says 'from the makers of the Snowman' in purple letters.
The picture on the dvd disc is a picture of the polar bear of the star constellation 'Ursa Major', which is really beautiful, the at the side it has a picture of Tilly riding on the bear.
On the inside of the dvd case there are some really interesting 'Bear Facts' which...

A safe haven from thinking too hard
Advantages: easy to read, fast-paced, vaguely fun
Disadvantages: utter nonsense
...through this, I'm not exactly recommending it.
Part of the new sub-genre of Da Vinci Code-esque thrillers, there's nothing startling original about the plot. Take one age-old secret, bring it into the modern day where various good- and bad-guys are trying to get their hands on it, and throw in enough action to distract you from the sheer hokum. I don't read many books like this (well, let's face it - I'm utterly dismissing it already!), but this reminded me both of the ubiquitous DVC, and a great deal of Kate Mosse's Labyrinth - particularly the chapters flicking back to the past.
And, as ever, it's those brief glimpses backwards that are by far the more interesting. In this case, they follow someone with a huge secret: a secret author Raymond Khoury teases out way beyond irritation point. Like Dan Brown (in Digital Fortress, half...

Raymond, what have you done
Advantages: It's another trip into Feist's creative universe
Disadvantages: It reads like a childrens story
...enemy is causing trouble in the streets of the city. William, James and Jazharra must hunt down the protagonists and face the evil behind them.
To write this review kills me. Before doing so I must let you know that I am A huge fan on the Raymond Feist novels. I have read his first novel, 'Magician', 7 times and all the other except the 'Krondor' series a minimum of 3 times. I just love them and can let myself become completely immersed in the story.
I have to say though that even though the first 2 'Krondor' books, 'Krondor: The Betrayal' and 'Krondor: The Assassins' weren't his best works, the latest offering from my favourite author, 'Krondor: Tear of the Gods' does STINKETH.
I read the book in one day it was such a simple plot and it seems to be written as if it were aimed at an 8 year old reading it. I believe that it is the shortest...
