Buffet RC prestige Clarinet

Advantages: Great Quality and Sound
Disadvantages: A bit expensive

...After starting the clarinet at school i asked for a buffet B12 clarinet for christmas. I kept this clarinet until the last year of my A levels but my clarinet teacher advised me that i needed a new one to progress further. Because of this i then started to try many different clarinets. I tried nearly every model and every make and narrowed it down to a Buffet RC and a Buffet R13. The reason i chose an RC prestige was because of the dark mellow german tone compared to the R13 prestige which gives a brighter french tone. This clarinet served me well through my degree, i gained a first in major performance with this clarinet and enjoyed every minute of practicing with it. now i am a woodwind teacher i would always tell the pupils to go for Buffet as they make outstanding clarinet. Review of Buffet RC Prestige Bb Clarinet

Canon RC shutter release

Advantages: Forget Camera shake, well, almost.
Disadvantages: Can be a little fiddly

...If you didn't get one of these with your Canon, and are serious about photography then it really is a must have. The good thing about this remote is it's dual function, not only will it allow you to perform a shutter release but it will also allow you to take advantage of a 2 second timer function; without having to return to the camera. Canon have also made the RC5 remote, which, whilst it is slightly bigger and a little more comfortable to use, doesn't give you the option to pick between timer delay, and simple shutter release. This remote will easily give you a good 5M range, although I tend to use mine standing next to the camera when it's mounted on a tripod, simply to remove as much camera shake as I can. Obviously the windy weather can also contribute to camera shake, but I dont think they have invented a remote...

Review of Canon RC 1 Infrared Camera remote control for Camera

Manfrotto 234RC Head

Advantages: Basic in design and foolproof
Disadvantages: None that I can envisage

...I Recently purchased 234RC Head, First time use proved to be either too stiff or too slack in operation with a 50-500 zoom. I dismantled the head for a quick look and found a disc of friction material of approximately 25mm outside diameter x 6mm bore. In a similar manner to another review of this item, I fitted P.T.F.E. shims cut out from sheet material and fitted these in place of the original friction disc. When dismantled, friction disc originally fits in a recess. I used 1 off 1mm shim at opposite end to recess to avoid metal to metal contact, and 2 pieces 1mm shim with a 6mm I/D-25mm O/D washer sandwiched between to make a shim-pack to fill recess. While you are at it, replace the 6mm x 65mm bolt with a stainless steel item. Similarly with Manfrotto 680 or other model monopod where all 5mm mild steel screws and nuts were replaced...

RC-20XL A Loop That'll Last

Advantages: tough, long memory time, good features.
Disadvantages: expensive and highly specific function.

...I have been using a boss RC-20XL for about a year now and I must say I have found it a usefull and dynamic little piece of kit, but then when shops are asking around £160 for something it had better be usefull and a whole lot more to boot. I mainly use this when messing around with song ideas at home but I have used it at small university gigs and I can say that I haven't ever had any problems with it in the time that I've had it. Knowing its a Boss pedal is reasuring to me because I've had other old Boss pedals in the past and they have lasted forever. Modern Warfare 2 - Fun but not Fantastic

Advantages: intriguing gameplay, flawless sound/graphics, rolling storyline
Disadvantages: anti-climax, little repetitive, nothing really new to catch onto

...The hype was wild for Halo 3, it continued for the anticipations of Halo Wars and many were disappointed. Hype was given for Gears of War and that continued for Gears of War 2 and many were disappointed. Likewise Call of Duty was bound to reach a similar anti-climax and so far it has. The overall conclusion is that is fun but not fantastic. However it is important to note that unless you are the stereotypical gamer who has his own gaming chair complete with a surrounding of cookies, crisps, full fat cola, a headset and the limited edition of Halo 3's Spartan mask, likiness is you won't find the game at all a let down. Afterall Infinity Ward are possibly the only people to construct a war-time gaming experience that steers well clear of clichés which removes the unbelievable characters who would look more in place in a Marvel Comic strip...

Advantages: Compared to the first modern warfare they have added driving in the story and its more detailed.
Disadvantages: To be honest, besides a few environmental graphics, it looks to be the shooter of the decade.

...Call of Duty Modern warfare 2 looks amazing if you?re a halo freak you will fall in love with this first person shooter. It's very detailed. They even switched the map to the screen on your gun unlike any game I have seen before. As far as if you just want to buy the game, and not go online to play, the story line features are so much better. You can even drive on this epic 1st person shooter. The disadvantages to this game as far as I can see are only a few visual slumps like every once in awhile a car will not look as realistic but everything else is wonderful. If you?re looking for a gift for a gamer or just want to try an epic 1st person shooter then this is the game for you....

Call of Duty modern warfare 2 Worth it???

Advantages: Brilliant graphics, very good onine multiplayer, nice features added which orignal did not have.
Disadvantages: quite a complex storyline

...The most eagerly anticipated game of the year, possibly even the decade. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is a first person shooter available on the most popular games consoles. Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. the game is rated 18 and for good reason. Many scenes throughout the campaign mode of the game I personaly found quite disturbing, however this would not put me off buying the game. one level in particular where you pose as a terrorist, and with your gang walk around an Airport shooting civillians. you do however get the choice to skip this level when you load up the game. I would not recomend that you buy this game for your child, or anyone under the 18 year age recommendation. Despite the few disturbing levels you cannot deny the incredible graphics and gameplay that Activision have managed to create in the amzaing game...
