Angel Thierry Mugler - Refillable Bottles

Advantages: Beautiful scent, beautifully presented

...I have just recentlly been bought the refill bottle for the Angel eau de parfum, my very elaborate 75ml eau de parfum bottle which was bought as a birthday present was down to its last couple of sprays, so this was a lovely surprise. I expected the refill bottle to be very plain in comparison to the wonderfully packaged 'normal bottle' (designed like a star) and so was surpised to find that once again Thiery Mugler had gone to a lot of trouble to make the refill bottle equally as appealing to the eye. The refill (50ml) came in a lovely box (as per picture above) and inside was a lovely mini version of the 75ml bottle I had been given as a birthday gift. Again, a beautifully presented 'star'bottle. The refill came with its own funnel to make transferring the perfume into the 75ml bottle easy and also ensuring you didn't lose...

A GUIDE TO DIY INKJET REFILLS

..., cost £21.99, “great” I thought, a saving of £5 - £6 pounds! When I got home I replaced my empty cartridge with the recycled one from PC World, I then did a test print, what a disappointment! The yellow did not come through at all, and the magenta came out a dirty looking pink instead of the vivid pink I was expecting, so it was back to PC World for a refund! They did not quibble at all when I showed them the test print, but I declined the offer of a replacement. The sad part of this is that PC World have pre paid envelopes for you to send your empty cartridges to be recycled, the charity NSPCC get paid for every cartridge sent, this idea appealed to me, and had the cartridge worked ok in the first place I would have participated in the scheme. Silvine A4 refill pad

Advantages: Easy to use, functional; well thought out product
Disadvantages: Narrow lines not ideal for those with big handwriting

...with a margin to the left which has 4 pre-punched holes, so ideal for students or anyone who wants to file what they've written. The pages are perforated at the top as well so that it is an easy, smooth operation to remove them from the pad. At the back of the pad is the standard thickish cardboard backing. This gives it good support when you are writing as well as protecting the pages. Overall decent quality and reasonable value for money. A good, functional notepad / refill pad....

Why buy new when you can refill for less

...After some deliberation I yet again made a trip down to PC World, not my favourite shop as staff tend to be totally useless. But, if you know what you want and you do not have to ask any questions you know you can be in and out within a flash. There are many refill kits on the market, from the well known brand JR Inkjet Refills or shops own brands, you get the same amount of ink in each bottle as you do in the more expensive brands, and the instructions are exactly the same. I took down the prices of the JR brand, for the black ink refill which was £11.99 for 2 x 30ml bottles, and £18.99 for the colour refill which consists of 3 x 30ml, one of each colour (cyan, magenta and yellow ink). PC World's price for the black refill kit was £10.00 which contained 2 x 30ml bottles and the colour was £17.00 for 3 x 30 ml bottles...

...Like many people I find the cost of new printer ink cartridges too expensive. I have tried the alternative route of buying refurbished ones where empty cartridges are cleaned, refilled and resold. My opinion, don?t waste your money. The simple reason is the cartridge?s metal contacts are very delicate and are made useless by taking them in and out of the printer numerous times. If you get a well used refurbished cartridge it simply won?t work or packs up after a few days, I know this from painful and expensive experience. A better idea which I now use you may want to try, is refilling your own cartridges. Nothing new in that you say but I fill them in situ and it extends the cartridge life considerably. You will need either a colour inkjet refill kit or a black inkjet refill kit or both obviously depending on your needs. JR...

...After using cheap ink refills in our epson printer and seeing the loss of quality, I opted to buy the real deal and get this multipack of epson inks that are compatible with our printer. I was a little worried that I was paying too much for this multipack considering it was just under £28 but when you divide this by the amount of cartridges it works out about £7 per cartridge which isnt too bad for ink in the grand scheme of things. I used to have to perform printer cleaning very regularly which I can only pinpoint to the poor quality ink refills that I used, but now using the genuine cartridges the difference is night and day. You get four colours in the box - Cyan, Magenta, Black and Yellow, with the black ink having a slightly bigger capacity than the others as it gets used more often. TRY REFILLING

...I've got a lexmark Z25 only cost about £25...but its does the job unless you want really good pictures from it. I use the 16 cartridge, well only one because now I refill it. You can buy many different refill kits but if you lucky enough to live near a LIDL shop you can get three bottles for abour £2.99. The refilling process is easy simply drill a hole where the air hole is on the top of the cartridge. Fill the syringe half way with ink and gentle squeeze it into the hole. Add one of the small filler plugs you get with the refill kit and replace the catridge. When you next use the printer you will be presented with the lexmark solution centre simply select the new cartridge optoion and Robert is your dad's brother. I reckon on getting 5-7 refills from each bottle saving £75-£105 on catridges per bottle. 3 bottles total saving...

...So there I was looking for a cartridge for my Lexmark Z13 and they were between £27 and £29, trust me to get a cheap printer where the cartridges cost more than the damn printer. But lo and behold I saw out of the corner of my I the "JR Universal Inkjet Refill Kit" for only £11.99, ok I thought I'll give it a go. On opening the pack things couldn't be easier fill the syringe with ink and injext into the printer cartridge, I did get a little on my fingers but not much, so it wasn't as messy as I first thought. The only hard part was taking off the top of the cartridge with a pen knife which breaks the seal. The set comes with the three main colours in 25ml bottle I must have only used 2-3ml if that out of each bottle.
