The Regal has changed

Advantages: U have a good night
Disadvantages: The food!

...In my many years of my pub/clubbing career i have NEVER thought The regal was any good, but my opinions have changed recently. I have recently been going there some Fridays & Saturday nights and it is actually good now. The music played there is good (better than some of the clubs in the area), the drinks are very cheap so its easy on your wallet! i come home with money now lol. The food is abit hit and miss, i have been there serveral time for food and there have been a couple of time the food was discusting i.e their pasta i would NOT eat again but the simple foods like burgers and wraps are good. Evenings are definately the best time to go, so full of good atmosphere and i have never seen any trouble....

BUick Regal

Advantages: Price
Disadvantages: Resale value

...I have owned several Buick Regals over the past 8 years. The 3800 engine is a great match for this size sedan giving enough power while still allowing for pretty good fuel economy, the 3200 engine on the other hand would seem to give better fuel economy does, in fact do the exact opposite!!This motor has to work so much harder that it uses more fuel than the larger 3800!! The interior is very roomy, lots of leg space plenty of head clearance and a large rear seating area plenty big enough for 3 people.The drivers view of the gages and instument panel need to be adjusted to the driver by tilting the steering wheel just right to be able to see all of the instruments. Driving the car is comfortable and the steering has great response. The rear end of this car is very light so use care in the rain or snow as a slippery road and a hard...

The biggest pub in Europe, supposedly.

Advantages: Cheap - good for those on a student budget!
Disadvantages: No music, and no atmosphere

...At only a hundred metres down the road from my Cambridge college, the Regal (a JD Wetherspoons pub) would seem to be the ideal place to go to grab a drink or a bite to eat of an evening. Review of Masta Regal Light Stable Rug

Have stayed there twice and it is fantastic.

Advantages: Attached to the Airport and a high quality hotel.
Disadvantages: A few miles from the tourist areas.

...I have stayed in this 1104 room hotel twice and would highly recommend it. I have stayed in other hotels in Hong Kong, both budget and very expensive, but this is my favourite. It was recognised by Business Traveller UK Magazine as the Best Airport Hotel in the World 2008. This I can vouch for given my own experiences when staying there. Both times I flew to Hong Kong from London which is about a 13 hour flight so what was great is that the Regal Airport Hotel as the name suggests is actually built on to the Airport building. Having collected my baggage and cleared customs I simply wheeled my baggage trolley to the front left corner of the airport lounge, swung left and on to an enclosed raised walk way which led right up to the hotel entrance. Cheap but not very cheerful

Advantages: Daytime there is plenty of seating, cheap beer.
Disadvantages: No music, bad service, terrible food, dirty tables.

...The Regal is a large pub, but I find it difficult to believe that this is the largest pub in Britain. We British must be very easily impressed by size, since as a cinema The Regal can't have been very big. I can imagine a pub far bigger than this. The service isn't great either. The redeeming feature has to be the cheap booze, but since it is purchased only days before it's sell-by date (I am told), they have to ensure it's cheap so they can shift it. I would never meet a friend here, unless it was early, because you'd have no chance of finding them amongst the ignorant teenagers and students. I wouldn't call it cosy or friendly. The tables are usually dirty and there is no music. Even on a Friday or Saturday night it has no atmosphere. It's a pre-"home to bed" pub, not a pre-club pub. A Very Tasty Scotch

Advantages: Widely Available. Nice Flavour
Disadvantages: Not Many unless you don't like whisky
