Snap Happy Samsung!

Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!

...the performance of a camera is heavily reliant on your requirements for that camera and this is a serious consideration. Whilst this camera greatly suits my needs, it may not suit yours, so please think about this before comitting to buy. At this point, I was interested in the Samsung and after being wowed by it's low price-tag and the offer to return it should it not meet the performance I had expected, I was sold. My first impressions was only of its appearance (you cannot try cameras out in ASDA). The front is solid metal casing, whilst the back is more plasticy, with a large screen and directional buttons. This was my first and last worry about this camera- I'm clumsy and I didn't want to break the device by dropping it and shattering the apparently fragile back cover. However, I have nothing to worry about. I have had this camera for a few months...

Keeping Mum (DVD)

Advantages: Keeps you laughing...and guessing!
Disadvantages: Bit corny sometimes and not the sort of film I would watch twice.

...Keeping Mum-the new movie by director Niall Johnson, is really pretty good. It's set in a small countryside community (Little Wallop) where everyone knows each others business and is about the family of the town vicar (Rowan Atkinson). His wife is tired of him working so hard and thus takes up golfing lessons from Patrick Swayze, his daugter is a bit of a slapper and his son is being bullied at school. He seems completely oblivious to all of this. Cue Maggie Smith (who plays the housekeeper/nanny) who steps in and all there problems just seem to dissapear; or do they? This British comedy (rated 15) really isn't a waste of the 99 minutes you will spend watching it. It combines brilliant British humour with a bit of tongue in cheek suspense. ...Only fools and horses is the best British comedy ever made in my opinion. Based in the south London areas of Deptford and Peckham it follows the lives of Del Boy and Rodney Trotter, two wheeler dealer type businessmen who run their business trotters independent traders from the back of their three wheeled reliant robin van. The pair are always shifting dodgy goods and will do almost anything to earn a few quid. The show concentrates mainly on these two characters who live with their granddad in a 3 bedroom flat in Nelson Mandela house. The Gadgetshop Powered Torch, does what is says on the tin

Advantages: Cheap, works well.
Disadvantages: Looks are a bit dated.

...This torch provides an eco friendly solution to batteries, reliant upon the renewable energy source of your wrist. The torch provides a strong beam considering its size, yet its seethrough appearance is a bit naf. However this torch does serve as a useful tool when a powercut strikes, as it saves you after having found a torch from having to then find the batteries necssary to power it! Furthermore this style of torch will save money upon having to buy new batteries. The torch requires minimal effort from shaking in order to get a strong beam and the length of time required before a further shake is required is about twenty minuted (depending upon how often the torch is switched on an off). All round it is a clever gadget at a fitting price....

The Best Uk Comedy EVER Anybody?

Advantages: Classic British Humour
Disadvantages: No Christmas Speicals!! There just not enough!!

The laughs in this show come mainly from the two standout chracters, Del and Rodney - who despite there age difference have an incredibly close bond and interact with one another brilliantly on screen. Uncle Albert also is involved with some classic comedy moments with Del and Rodney aswell as some heartwarming moments which show how despite his wheeler deeler approach he is deep down a very family orientated man. Rodney's gormless character is also the marker for plenty of laughs as Trigger often points out, which is hialrious in itself due to his natural stupid nature! Disadvantages: If you are looking for something R&B,folk-country sounding like Trouble then this is different.

...Two years after he released Trouble, Ray LaMontagne released this album. In this album he tries something really different to Trouble. This album is less country-folk, R&B roots and more athmospheric and wistful in feel and sound. But dont be mistaken, the songs are just as poignant, strong and effective without all of that. Most of the songs use a very gentle ensemble of string instruments which gives it the delicate and airy feel that isn't present in Trouble. And his voice too is a bit different in this album. I loved his warm gravelly tones in Trouble and they are still just as lovely in this album, but they are...softer, I think is the best word to use and definitely more subtle. Quite a family drama show - told from an adult perspective

Created by Ken Olin (producer of alias) there was a lot riding on the success of this show with audiences. I must say i have not been disappointed yet and i am into season 3! Storyline: A family drama based on the large family that everyone secretly wishes at times that they had, exploring the intertwined relationships of brothers and sisters in adulthood and how reliant we all become on eachother at some point. There are a variety of different storylines to follow and shows different levels of depth on issues such as addiction, the war and trust. It documents the true(ish) story of the Jamaican bobsled team's entry into the winter olympics with hilarious results. John Candy is their long suffering coach who must train them into a team fit to compete with the big-boys in a short space of time, despite the fact that some of them have never even seen snow before.
