Remington R320 Titanium - excellent value

Advantages: Close shave, good looks, and cheap
Disadvantages: Takes a while to re-charge

...Having used a 6 year old Phillips equivalent, I was impressed by the smotthness of the shave. The re-charging facility is slow, but that is a minor problem, and alternative speedier models are available. I purchased the product from Amazon, for around £25, which I feel is excellent value for money. I like the look of the product too, and it compares well with far more expensive shavers on the market. I did have to return the product, since the metal prongs, which connect to the charger broke, and this appears to be a known, but rare fault. The product was returned to Remington via Freepost, and I am pleased to say that a replacement, brand new R320 was supplied to me in under a week. I'm pleased to confirm that not only is there a smooth shave, but I have experienced no cuts, and my 5 o'clock shadow now appears closer to about 7...

...I bought the Remington MB 320C rechargeable beard trimmer three months ago and thought that I'd share my experience with the world. I have a beard, partly for idle non shaving reasons but also because I was getting increasingly fed up with staring at my father in the mirror every morning. I did a little research before buying the Remington both on Ciao and Amazon. I paid £19.99 for this trimmer from an eBay trader but with my eBay voucher for £10 this became very cheap. It has a charging/recharge indicator and is supplied with its charger This model is the first that I have used and I am really impressed with it. It takes no more than 5 minutes about once a week to keep my beard in trim. Review of Remington MB 320 C Performance

320d - Potentially expensive failure

Advantages: Preformance, Economy, choice of trim, extras
Disadvantages: reliability - Expensive turbo failure, Rear Seat Space, Boot Space

...This is my first BMW, and I am sorry to say my last. The 320d has a reputation for turbo failure, which I believe applies only to pre July 2003 models. This failure can happen at any time regardless of service history and so cannot be predicted or circumvented and is a widely publicised failure amongst 320d owners on the internet!. The cost of repairing this vary between £2000 - £3000 and is not something which I would expect from a name like BMW. Other drawbacks include driver comfort, which is virtually non existant, after 15 mins in the drivers seat you rapidly experience another feature of the 320D - namely BMW "Numb Bum", which I must admit was not publicised in the brochure. The driving position is also somewhat strange. Both rear seat and boot space are limited and certainly not inline with the size of vehicle, and all BMW...

Remington S9000

Advantages: temperature control, smooth plates
Disadvantages: age quickly, confusing controls

...With wavy hair, I haven't got ringlets to iron out, so the lower temperature settings on the Remington S9000 were perfect for me. To perfect styles, the higher temperatures work alright. The Remington S9000s aren't the best straighteners I have ever owned, after a year of use I can tell the difference between brand new and well used; unlike the GHD's I owned for 2 years! The smooth plates are kind to my hair, but with hairspray can become sticky - like most hair straighteners. The Remington S9000s are also quite difficult to programme to the right temperature, a simple 'hot' or 'cool' setting would have worked perfectly, but its like using a clothes iron on your hair! The Remington S9000s are also quite heavy, unlike the GHD's, so even though they straighten out my waves for a good few hours, I wouldn't recommend them to people...
