Shockingly cheap tong for occasional curling

Advantages: Cheap, curls like most other tongs, small & sleek design, on/off switch
Disadvantages: Hair escapes from tong's grip, non-ceramic tong, no extra features

CURLING (4/5) I have poker straight Oriental hair that usually refuses to be subordinate to any tong without a decent amount of battling, i.e. curling the hair in very thin strands, gripping each strand tightly for at least one minute before release, coating the hair in a shocking amount of hairspray (which is why my conscience won't let me curl my hair very much), etc. Expensive or cheap tong, this is usually the case, and Visiq does not mark a change either. I still have to do all the same things, but the end result is positive. Remington Spin Curl (D1001) a definate must!

Advantages: Easy, effortless, does in minutes what other products fail to do atall.
Disadvantages: None that i have found.

It takes literally 10-15 minutes to do my hair and it gives great natural looking beach waves. Disadvantages: No comb clips attached

...you can curl, flick and do whatever you want, there's a little booklet that comes free showing you exactly how this can be achieved (through research I've also found out that some come with a DVD!) It just gets better and better doesn't it! I've been through a fair amount of straightners over the years and in the past I've found Remington to be slightly disappointing but these certainly break the mould! They're so easy to use (especially with a 3m cable you can dance and straighten! but that is at your own risk! lol) It has a digital heat control so you know exactly what heat they're on, no more frizzed, burnt hair! ...originally priced at £16.99, i thought these were a steal at £8.49 in the argos sale, they come boxed all cable tied up (too many cable ties), and with instructions for use, care and storage. the three different tongs are:- 16mm tong with a spiral twist of metal aroung the length of the tong that teases the hair into shape and trains it to go round the tong in a way that is best to get a perfect curl. 19mm this tong gives you a really great looking medium sized curl thats somewhere beween a 'ringlet' and a wave.its harder to use if you've got long hair like i have , because it means you have to do half of your hair section and then start again on the next half (top to bottom that is) the third tong is 26mm and is used to give you really elegant and stylish curls that will make you stand out. all three tongs come...

It is unruly to say the least and the only way to keep it under control most days, is by tying it up in a bobble, and hoping that it doesn't try to take over the world! On the days I can be bothered (or if I am getting ready for a special occasion) I will straighten it. This used to be a real chore as it would take me about 40 minutes, and would rarely be completely straight. Thanks to my boyfriend, who bought me these for christmas, my hair is no longer unruly, and it takes me half the time. Remington S9800 Straightners, much better than GHD

Advantages: Amazing straightners and 100% better than GHD amazing vakue for money!
Disadvantages: Unlike with GHD curling the hair is a little more difficult.

...minute, but as I say this is only for the highest temp and they can be used within 10 seconds as they reach temps of around 150 within the first 5 seconds!! :-D 3m cord which means you don't have to be stood right next to the plug socket! As well as been extremelly fabulous, they're also pretty too which i think is also important!! And come in 3 different sizes depending on the hair type you have! Another bad thing I noticed, was that curling your hair isnt as easy with these as with the GHDs due to the shape of the casing around the plates, its still possible, but a different technique would be needed and i think it would take longer with these than GHDs. Go buy these, they're absolutely fabulous!!!!!!!...
