...Having had two pairs of the same (quite expensive) hair straighteners die on me withing 3 months, I needed some new ones, fast and cheaply! I didn't want to pay loads of money, yet having quite thick hair I wanted to ensure that they would actually straighten my hair. After some searching around I found the Remington Straight in a stroke straighteners, these were cheap as they were on a half price off and I had a gift voucher for the store. I decided that at this price (£17.50) I could get them and if they were no good I wouldn't have lost much. The straighteners, like nearly all others, have a temperature control. Review of Remington Straight in a Stroke 230 Straighteners

Remington S9800 Straightners, much better than GHD

Advantages: Amazing straightners and 100% better than GHD amazing vakue for money!
Disadvantages: Unlike with GHD curling the hair is a little more difficult.

...I love these straighteners! I have thick hair, and used to spend ages every day trying to blow dry it straight. I used to have an old Babyliss straightener but it had never properly straightened my hair and used to leave it dry and frizzy. Not so with the Wet 2 Straight. The idea is that by straightening your hair while it's still wet (you just towel dry first), you lock in the moisture. This is supposed to stop your hair drying out and keep it shiny, and it definitely works for me. I have used these in the morning and then gone out on a damp day, to find that my hair is still lovely and straight (and not frizzy) the next time I pass a mirror! The straightener is easy to use, you just plug it in, switch it on and wait at least 30 seconds. I think it takes about 90 seconds to get to full heat, so you don't have to sit around...
