Remington PG400 Hair Trimmer

Advantages: Well built, value for money
Disadvantages: Lack of battery level indicator

...So far I have had 2 of these beard trimmers, the first one had to be returned within the first week due to a faulty charger connector, however the current one is perfect. The item feels well built and nice to hold, unlike some other similar trimmers I have held that feel cheap and tacky. The battery life is better than I expected although the lack of a battery level indicator means it might die without warning, which isn't ideal if your halfway though a trim and have to put it on charge for another 2 hours before you can finish! It also has other useful features for other body hair removal not just beard trimming, the nose hair trimmer and narrow trimmer are added bonuses as well as the grading plates....

Advantages: Great for persons with sensitive skin, it is very convenient.

Advantages: Rechargeable, ease of use, no need of oil for blades
Disadvantages: inability of main clipper to trim, trimmer doesn't do good at trimming

...Since I got this clipper i haven't had cause to go for repair. So for one, its durable but depending on how careful you are though. The best attribute would be that I won't need to draw Voltage from my kitchen to my bathroom just to shave-its rechargeble! I am still trying to figure out how many hours it can go before going off. Its con would be the fact that the trimmer included isn't rechargeable as the main clipper. Hence, trimming is less smooth than it is supposed to be. If only the main clipper could be adjusted to be able to trim bears and sideburns then we wouldn't need the trimmer to be rechargeable. Apart from that, it shaves good. Hope this helps...

If you just want a trimmer, don't pay more

Advantages: Great trimmer, cheap, rechargeable, cordless, safe and comfortable to use, good range of trimming lengths
Disadvantages: Shaver is useless, cleaning is a bit fiddly, instructions and packaging are poor

...from the now-short, freshly-cut hair, whereas I hear that shaving or waxing can cause dreadful problems in that department. The trimmer is supposed to be water-resistant and safe to use in the shower. At least, this is what it said on the Amazon page; nothing was mentioned in the instruction booklet, which generally had very little info. So I rang Remington, and was assured that it was indeed safe to use in the shower. Well, it might be safe, but it's a complete nuisance. I tried for a bit and then gave up as I wasn't getting anywhere. The idea had been to reduce mess, but since it wasn't particularly messy to begin with, there wasn't any point. Advantages: temperature control, smooth plates
Disadvantages: age quickly, confusing controls

...With wavy hair, I haven't got ringlets to iron out, so the lower temperature settings on the Remington S9000 were perfect for me. To perfect styles, the higher temperatures work alright. The Remington S9000s aren't the best straighteners I have ever owned, after a year of use I can tell the difference between brand new and well used; unlike the GHD's I owned for 2 years! The smooth plates are kind to my hair, but with hairspray can become sticky - like most hair straighteners. The Remington S9000s are also quite difficult to programme to the right temperature, a simple 'hot' or 'cool' setting would have worked perfectly, but its like using a clothes iron on your hair! The Remington S9000s are also quite heavy, unlike the GHD's, so even though they straighten out my waves for a good few hours, I wouldn't recommend them to people...

REMINGTON 2X PROTECTION

Advantages: Heat up very fast.
Disadvantages: People assume they're not as good as GHD.

Advantages: heat up fast, glides smoothly, ceramic plus Teflon coated, durable, 3 year warranty, safety carry case included and Excellent VALUE for money
