...I purchased the Nintendo Wii after weeks of searching the internet for a shop that hadnt sold out and once i found one available i bought it immediately. The package came with Wii sports and a remote controller and i have to say that i was quite impressed. The controllers work well with the console and in particular with wii sports. The biggest issue that i have with the remote is the battery issue. Whilst the batteries do last a long time when installed, to keep replacing them costs a fortune. I also have had this problem with my xbox 360 wireless controllers and would recommend anybody who was buying the controllers to also consider a quick charge kit to accompany it. The unit is very responsive and works very well, this depends on where you put the sensor that is supplied with the wii so make sure that you read the manual carefully...

...I have owned a playstation 3 for a number of years now with a sixaxis controller. The controller is extreamly suffisticated as well as all of the normal buttons which are used for conventional gameplay it also contains a gyroscope which monitors its position and movements in six axis, clever hey. The sxiaxis motion control offers a new way to play games and makes things more interesting and more challenging. For example when playing a racing game with a friend and we get a little bored we may play a game where we just use the motion control which makes it alot more challenging and adds alot of amusement. Some of the best games I have found to use with the sixaxis include Super Rub a Dub very entertaining no matter who you are. The tactics he employs to help him in his quest are once again described so accurately that you just know that Andy McNab is writing from experiences he gained in his time with the SAS. The suspense in the book is in some chapters absolutely amazing with the reader not knowing which way it is going to go and it is literally impossible to put the book down. However, at the “end” of the chase you finally think that it is all over and everyone is going to live happily ever after when the story takes another dramatic turn and shoots off once again to keep you hanging on to the last page. All in all an excellent read full of action, suspense and drama. There’s even a little bit of comedy thrown in here and there for good measure. My only regret is that I read Crisis 4 before Remote Control as it spoilt...

I don't think its much to look at, but here is a case where form followed function. It appears to be a pretty average remote control pad but it's far from that. It consists of 8 buttons on the top: - Power on/off - Direction pad - Button A - '-' Button - Home Button - '+' Button - Button 1 - Button 2 As well as the Button B on the underside. The majority of individual button functions obviously vary with the software you are using on the Wii at the time. ...really light is that there is no rumble pack in the controller although one is being made apparently. But if there was a rumble pack not only would it be really heavy but there would be no six axis. What is six axis? The six axis are up-down, left-right, forward-back, rotate left-right, rotate up-down and rotate sideways. This allows you to shake steer and carefully move things that are on the screen. Some examples of the sixaxis in action is shaking an alien off you or fire off you in Resistance: Fall of Man and if you are feeling adventuras you can use the controller to steer in Motorstorm. The sixaxis is not used as much as the wii's controller however it still has great potential. ...to keep the noise down, I can't. Squeak, squeak, squeak rings out around the house. I tried taking one of them apart to try and clean the analogue sticks, but this was a bad decision. Once I got into it I found out the ball which the sticks swivel on are covered by a cicuit board thingy and I didn't want to touch that. So after about 3 or four hours (literally) of trying to put it togerther again I managed it. The time taken was mainly down to many parts falling all over the place during the taking apart process. Now to the biggest positive for the controllers - the battery. When it was announced that the controllres were going to be wireless I was thinking that they would last about an hour or two before needing re-charged, which would then take about 2 hours to charge. ...I am extreamly made up with this new controllers for the playstation 3, the good points: 1) the reaction time between the controller and the console is so responsive its like it is connected via a wire. 2) the motion sensors are well balanced and the new triggers are a welcomed addition.3) The controller has a very long battery life. Downsides 1) its a shame that each controller does not have its own charger this would make it much easier to charge rather then having to share the one lead which is included with the consol. 2) its a great shame that the sixaxis controler does not have a rumble pack intergrated but I do believe that the next model will. 3) For me the fact that the controller(s) do not turn themselves off when they have not been used for a coulple of minutes is a shame this would be a great addition however I really like...

PS3 game controller

Disadvantages: No shock device biult in for vibrations to enhance gameplay.

...It's a good lightweight controller. It doesn't have the weight that the xbox 360 controller has, which I think is better, but is does the job. The controller also does not give you any vibrations when using it in games, which would have been nice as this adds more realism to gameplay. Another plus to the xbox 306 controller. It's wireless and uses bluetooth to communicate with the PS3. This works perfectly. Battery life is also very good, you can get around 30 hours gameplay before you need to recharge. The controller also has motion sensors built into it allowing you on certain games to move the controller instead of the pads to make the car in F1 move from side to side. This is very sensitive and requires patience to master. I think we have all become too used to using the gamepad to move around the screen. Overall...
