...We booked a double room in the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel months in advance through an agent and got a very good rate of 89 pounds per night excluding breakfast, but including car parking for 10 days. The walk-in rate is, I think, somewhere around 220 pounds per night. The arrival and check-in went smoothly. The bags were taken into the room, the baby cot we had requested was already there. What I did have to ask for is cot sheets and a blanket. The room was clean but a bit stuffy. The bed was very large and comfortable with lots of pillows. We decided to have breakfast in the room the following morning so we ordered it the night before. A few nasty surprises were awaiting us in the morning. The shower could only produce hot water. 5 Star Luxury starting at £20 a night! - Renaissance Kuala Lumpur

Advantages: Cheapest 5 star property in KL. Excellent western property. Great facilities and staff.
Disadvantages: Not as fresh as other 5* properties but at this price, who cares??!

RENAISSANCE HOTEL - LOCATION AT ITS BEST

...Every year during summer vacation, my family makes it a point to stay in one of the hotels in Makati City for a short weekend break. Thus, we have checked-in at practically all the nice hotels in the area since 2001. I must say that Renaissance Hotel, which is now being run by Marriott, has become a favorite especially of the kids. Stay in the heart of Manchester at the Renaissance

Advantages: Great location and nice rooms
Disadvantages: Little bit expensive, but good value overall

...The hotel: The hotel looks quite imposing as it is a tall 15 story building in the heart of Manchester City Centre. As you enter the lobby through revolving doors you immediately get a sense of style and ambience with heavy wood and marble all over the lobby. Great Renaissance Hotel in Brussels

...The Renaissance Hotel in Brussels forms part of the Renaissance chain of Hotels which in turn is owned by Marriott. I stayed at this hotel whilst on holiday in Brussels in August 2003 and found the hotel to be really good value in Summer (as all the business people are on holidays so the best time and cheapest time to visit Brussels is this time of year!) The room: The hotel bedroom that we had was well furnished and came with two Queen size beds, although room are available with one larger King Size bed. The room had a TV with satellite TV and a few okay English channels including BBC World. It also came with the usual trapping such as hairdryer, in room safe (very useful for passports and money!) as well as an iron and ironing board and trouser press. The $3 million Man

Advantages: Excellent acting, powerful story
Disadvantages: Dated now

...and powerful way. I thought that they portrayed the suffering of an autistic savant person very well and did not make the character out to be stupid or less of a man than he was. I thought that Dustin Hoffman who played Raymond did an amazing job and I am so glad that he won an Oscar for his performance. He managed to make me feel a whole different range of emotions, one minute I was feeling sorry for him as he was unable to take being out of his routine and the next minute I would be laughing at him for some silly story he was telling Charles. He really did the role justice and had me believing that he really was a sufferer.
