The Espace is one of the most versatile people movers: not only is it extremely spacious, but it also takes a battering (good with the kids) and, in our family, has been used for many other purposes! 1995 Reanult Espace, Champs Elysees 2.1td

Advantages: Very roomy, Comfortable, Very Economical
Disadvantages: No sunroof, Slow pull off, Wind down windows in back

...We own a 1995 Renault Espace 2.1td, It is the Champs Elysees model, This model is fitted with very comfortable Pilot seats that swivel round to face the back of the car, The drivers seat once turned round to face the rear has a lock at the bottom which you lock so that the seat can not be turned back round without the key, It is an antitheft method which i think works great. This model also comes with Air Con which is great on any hot or cold day. It is fitted with Electric windows in the front but wind down windows in the back, which was a bit of a put of at first but never the less are cheaper to repair if the mechanism breaks, It has electric mirrors and central locking that works from the key fob. If you want a car with a lot of space then this is for you, All the seats are easily removed within 5 minutes or if you dont want to...

The poor mans Rolls Royce My 2000 W Espace

Advantages: performance, removable seats, space, comfort , ride, many parts cheap and easily available. Good stereo system. practicality
Disadvantages: fuel consumption, very expensive belts and plugs replacements1000£+,little room under bonnet ,too mutch roll on corners

...for such a large car. The roof has three opening glass panels and can be removed, but they are hard to keep clean as you will need a ladder to get to them. The car can be used as a caravanette , when the seats are removed. and purchasing camping gear completes the conversion. The air conditioning is good in warm weather. Parts are easily available through the renault dealership. The parts are found through the registration plate. Luggage +six pasengers needs a roof box which can be easily attached to the roof rack which is standard with the car. If you look after the car it seems to be a good car with mutch in common with other mpvs. and cars. The automatic gear box is slow to react and doesnt give emediate power, but one gets used to it. When the power comes on it comes on with a rush 0-60 in about 10 seconds...

  My second French love affair!

Advantages: lots!
Disadvantages: few so far

...Last year we decided that out Renault Laguna was just too small to accommodate our growing family plus dog. There had been numerous occasions when we would have liked to have been able to allow our 2 children to invite their friends out for a day trip but the size of our car made this impossible. We also have a large dog so needed a car with enough space to carry him too! We decided we wanted a 7 -seater M.P.V or people carrier as this seemed to be the best vehicle to meet our needs. The Sport Tourer comes with part leather interior, three 3 point seatbelts which is a must for anybody with children, a cd player, air con, Abs, 6 speed gears, heated front and rear windscreens and lots more. Sunwin Renault, Derby

Advantages: Large Showroom
Disadvantages: Managers are liars and threaten you, Valeters are incompetent, after sales are non-existent

...I have had three cars now from Sunwin Renault in Derby, the first arrived on time, looked excellent inside and out and I was happy with the service. The second arrived late with a large dent in the roof; this was repaired (poorly) by a contracted body shop and spent the next two months in and out of the body shop. Every time it came back the body shop had scratched another panel, not matched the colour or had blistered the paintwork in polishing. Eventually everything came back to my satisfaction and I was assured that the dealership would no longer be using that body shop, so I was happy with the outcome. I picked up my latest car last Thursday (18th September), the car arrived 3 weeks early so I went to see it at the dealer before my pickup date, everything looked immaculate. The Renault Laguna Estate, sorry, Sports Tourer

Advantages: Stylish, well equipped, technology laden car
Disadvantages: Not the most practical of estates and the engine is a little fussy

Expressive Expressions

Advantages: Excellent MPV (Multi Person Vehicle) with plenty of room and positives
Disadvantages: Struggle to find paking with roofbox attached

...When we found out we were pregnant I saw it as the erfect opportunity to go into childminding and with this idea planted firmly in my brain we decided to look into MPV s(Multi Person Vehicles). After having looked at several different models on the internet we decided to go over to Available Car in Castle Donnington to compare them 'in the flesh' so to speak. Going up and down the rows of vehicles we started to get blurry eyed as we looked at one similar MPV after another then WHAM! Out of the darkness came light!!! Ok that might sound a little OTT but there were only two Renault Espace's there and both my partner and I fell in love. The Renault Espace 2.0ltre Expression was so very different from all the other MPVs that were lined up. The outside shape with its clean lines and smooth contours os a joy to behold...
