Privilege Insurance - Apalling and inefficient customer service

Advantages: Price
Disadvantages: Poor service generally; pedantic; lack of response to complaints; ridiculous hold times

...I had always driven Company Cars until last November when I was made redundant and purchased my own car and insurance for the first time. Privilege were the cheapest quote I found. I set up the policy on line and was advised that I could have a no claims discount if I provided proof from my previous employer's insurer that I had made no claims. I requested this via my employer but it was not forthcoming and I contacted Privilege in Jan 09 to advise them that I had not deliberately 'overlooked' this but was having difficulty due to the redundancy circumstances. They then cancelled my policy in February. At this point I was fairly sanguine as I had not provided the proof. I reinstated the policy with zero no claims on the understanding that when I managed to obtain proof of no claims I would receive a backdated refund of the difference...

...Hi Having bought a 'quality' used Renault Laguna from a Renault dealer with a 12 month Renault warranty, I was a bit surprised when after 1o months of use the engine seized, no problem I thought it'll be sorted out as its still with a warranty.. What a privilege!

Advantages: Characterisation, description, exciting read
Disadvantages: made me cry :( not for the weak-hearted or squeamish

...Having read and enjoyed all of the Grant County series previously, I had very high expectations of this book. Skin Privilege has a similar structure to the other books in the series, and focuses on one particular case, which turns out to be more complicated than it first seems. It takes place mostly outside of Grant County, with the three main characters (Jeffrey, Sara and Lena) all being based in Lena's hometown of Reece. Karin Slaughter continues to develop the characters fantastically, and her writing gives a real sense of closeness to the people, and their relationship to one another. Personally, I have never liked Lena, but this book really shows a different side to her which made her chapters a lot more exciting and interesting to read, whereas previously I would only skim through her chapters. Sunwin Renault, Derby

Disadvantages: Managers are liars and threaten you, Valeters are incompetent, after sales are non-existent

...I have had three cars now from Sunwin Renault in Derby, the first arrived on time, looked excellent inside and out and I was happy with the service. The second arrived late with a large dent in the roof; this was repaired (poorly) by a contracted body shop and spent the next two months in and out of the body shop. Every time it came back the body shop had scratched another panel, not matched the colour or had blistered the paintwork in polishing. Eventually everything came back to my satisfaction and I was assured that the dealership would no longer be using that body shop, so I was happy with the outcome. I picked up my latest car last Thursday (18th September), the car arrived 3 weeks early so I went to see it at the dealer before my pickup date, everything looked immaculate. After discovering that the remote central locking key for my Clio had given up the ghost, I decided that it was time to bite the bullet and buy a new one. The Renault Laguna Estate, sorry, Sports Tourer

Advantages: Stylish, well equipped, technology laden car
Disadvantages: Not the most practical of estates and the engine is a little fussy

Originally I was set to buy a Clio that was in the showroom, then the salesman, who obviously took pity on me searched the Renault database and 'found' me a cheaper model. This cheaper model still has the chill pack ~ CD and air con. I was given help to reclaim tax on my trade in vehicle, and all the necessary information reguarding insurance, tax and breakdown cover for my new car. I got 6 months tax, but because the car was purchased at £7445, list price £9445, there was no free insurance and no free car mats! Shame I like to get something free. I must admit...

Renault Laguna a great family estate.

Advantages: A geat family car for those who dont want a people carrier
Disadvantages: Car key is a card pricy to replace

...I brought a Renault Laguna 1.9TD Sport Tourer In April of this year. I paid £2300 for an 03reg. You get a high quality car for a relativly small amount of money. The Sport Tourer comes with part leather interior, three 3 point seatbelts which is a must for anybody with children, a cd player, air con, Abs, 6 speed gears, heated front and rear windscreens and lots more. I have three young children and didn't want to purchase a people carrier instead I opted for this estate and so far have been extremely pleased with my purchase.It has a fantastically large boot which fits my double buggy in with ease and still has enough room for shopping.
