...I recently upgraded my phone as I was nearing the end of my contract with Orange, and my old phone was falling to pieces. In the end I chose the LG KC910 Renoir. Who are LG? LG is a South Korean electronics company, specialising in mobile phones and petrochemical products - i.e. products made from plastics. LG is an abbreviation for LuckyGoldstar, and their logo comprises the letters L and G arranged into a face. The LG Renoir Itself The Renoir was released in the fourth quarter of 2008, and therefore is still a relatively new piece of kit. It boasts an 8 Mega Pixel camera with autofocus and xenon flash, a secondary inner camera to be used in video calls, and is a smartphone in a candybar form. It is a touch screen, with an accelorometer - as made famous by the iPhone and iPod Touch models...

I'm so inlove with my LG KC910 Renoir

Advantages: Front and back camera lenses, excellent video quality, great gadget
Disadvantages: Battery is a bit short-life and touchscreen sometimes does not respond quickly

...My husband was finishing his contract with O2 and spotted the Sony 905 with an 8megapixel camera. However when it came to renewing the contract, they refused to give him a good offer so he went online to find a better offer or at least a phone with similar specs and stumbled with LG Renoir instead. Originally, the phone came with Vodaphone contract but my husband found it a little complicated to operate so he sticked to his old phone and gave me the Renoir which was a real treat. Good thing it is not locked to Vodaphone sim because I got a Tesco sim which works just as good. So why did husband give it to me? Because when he was calling on the phone and he had to dial a few more numbers the screen kept turning off and the numbers disappeared so by the time he figured where to find the number keys the call waiting had ended and so he...

Nice Stylish phone, The camera is where it's at!

Advantages: 5 Megapixel camera, Video Camera, Looks great, It has Personality
Disadvantages: A bit out-dated already!?

...When I wanted a new phone a couple of months ago I had only a few needs; It wasn't allowed to be a blackberry (My sister has a Blackberry Storm and it would be horrific if our phones clashed), It had to play music, It had to take a decent picture and it absolutely had to have a touch-screen. Well It met my needs. So I should be absolutely delighted shouldn't I?....Ummm well yes, I mean no, actually yes.... It's a great phone, It really is. It was made a couple of years ago and what with the Renoir (The new version) out you have to expect some features to be missing or lacking. For me what is lacking is just that extra push! Oh it could be amazing if it could take more memory. ( I think officially it can take a 2gb Sd Card). And it would be great if the full on Screen Qwerty keyboard was an option for the Internet and making notes...

LG Cookie - A Tasty Treat

...different ways with the ability to use the built in accelerometer you can bring up a full QWERTY keyboard which is best used with the stylus and makes texting very fast in some cases. Then there is handwriting recognition which is quite slow as it has to be one letter a time. You can also create emails which allows you to do your work on the go. There are not many downsides to the Cookie the only disadvantages are the lack of internal memory card and sometimes the screen is slow to react but otherwise at a price of around £99 it makes it much more affordable than the LG Renoir or iPhone but still has all of the finesse....

Or sometimes just Renard, if I have a slower student. His full name is Renoir Renaud Renard, but that even trips up my tongue, so let's just call him 'the Three R's' and have done with it. Renoir Renaud Renard guards a selection of French textbooks and ream of blank A4 paper. The main textbook is Encore Tricolore, which I'm sure most of you will remember from school (the Tricolore series has been going for at least 25 years). There's also a pencil case in this compartment, but...

LG KC910 - A cracking phone.

Advantages: camera, touchscreen

...I upgraded to the Renoir from the Viewty and, overall, I'm chuffed with it. This new phone updates what the Viewty did best and makes it better. It is first and foremost a camera phone. Sporting an 8 megapixel camera with a xenon flash and Schneider-Kreuznach optics, it's a piece of kit not to be sniffed at, and it manages to be about half the width of most cameras. It does of course have its limitations, I've found it doesn't cope too well in darker rooms (but then neither does my actual camera), and the autofocus does, at times, leave a bit to be desired. I've found myself having to take two or three pictures to have one be in focus. Adjusting the settings can be a bit fiddly with touch screen too, but then, that is in comparison to an actual camera, and that's not really a fair comparison... There are a multitude of settings...

Advantages: Great story brought to life by spot on performances.
Disadvantages: The film print is fuzzy in places.

Chris attempts to impress her by pretending to be a successful artist. However while he is doing this Johnny and Kitty are conspiring to embezzle Chris out of his supposed wealth by selling his paintings under Kitty's name. The film is an adaptation of Georges de La Fourchardiere?s novel of the same name which had already been made into Jean Renoir?s first French sound film, ?La Chienne? (The Bitch) (1931).
