Budget car Rental : Belfast Airport

Advantages: Vehicle parking close to the airport
Disadvantages: Poor service

...I booked car for hire through an internet booking agency and paid a small deposit towards the quoted cost. The agency allocated Budget car rental to supply the vehicle and upon arrival at Belfast Airport the Budget desk was easy to find and conveniently located. They had details of my booking and the paperwork process commenced without difficulty. Then the Budget representative became irritated when I declined the excess waiver insurance. I was then presented with a grand total to pay and I asked for details of how it was broken down. I was keen to ensure that my deposit paid to the agency had been deducted from the amount to pay. The representative had increasing difficulty explaining the breakdown of costs. First she said some items were shown VAT inclusive and others as VAT exclusive. Car hire on a Budget

Advantages: I know I will get a decent car

...Ive hired several times from my Budget branch in Newcastle city centre and always came away with a feeling of contentment.I always know that before I pick up my vehicle I will be driving a quality Ford, that is a new model and it will only be a couple of months old. Ive hired several typres of car and on occasions Transit vans.All vehicles have been cleaner properly and are always ready at the time that I want the rental to start.Even the vans are spotless inside and out. Renting a car without hassle

...My company is renting all their cars through National Car Rental. And recently I made use of them quite frequently, so I thought, I tell you about them. They offer a very good booking service. We for example have an online booking system integrated in our Intranet - you simply fill in the data, get approval by your manager and usually 1 hour later, get the booking details emailed to you by National Car Rental. One option they offer is very useful for me. You don't actually have to go and pick up your car at a branch - even though they have a very good nationwide coverage. You can get them to deliver your car directly to your office or home. Car okay - Price incorrect - Ignores my communication attempts

Disadvantages: Incorrect price; Company seems to be unwilling to correct; Doesn't answer e-mails

...We rented a car from budget (online, via reseller). We got the right car without problems and didn't have to wait very long. The was clean and worked without problems while we had it. So far everything was fine. What's unacceptable is that Budget seems to be unwilling to accept the price that we booked and charger a higher price. When renting the car we were promised that it would be fixed by the time that we're back. It wasn't and nobody heard of it. In the past 8 weeks Budget didn't give me any real answer about this totally ignored my e-mails about the status. And instead charged my credit card a price that's EVEN HIGHER than the already incorrect one! I'll never ever again rent a car from Budget....

Budget car hire, budget prices & budget staff

...I have used Budget car hire on a number of occasions from Belfast International Airport over the years. I usually book through an on-line agent called 'Auto Europe' who provide very competitive rates & discounts for regular use. The service provide by Budget staff is at best patchy. I normally book insurance in advance to protect my excess wavier of £600 which Budget charges anything up to £17.50 a day for. My on line charge works out at £3.80 a day for the same cover, when you decline it from the Budget staff they do get a bit tetchy, I guess they must get a percentage from the booking. One day I refused their excess protection & so then they added 'cross border' insurance for travelling to Dublin with. When I queried this charge, again they become very tetchy. I stated that each time I used Budget they ask me where I'm travelling...

We had a quick view through some catalogues and it turned out that Alamo from Neckermann was the most favorable agency. The driver must be at least 21 years old; nevertheless, we had to pay an extra fee for drivers under 24 years. We chose the smallest car, called "Economy" and so we had to pay 5o ? instead of 47? (ca. 34 Pounds). We booked a car for two days in Calgary and for two days in Vancouver. A few days later we got a letter with the request to transfer the amount, as well as the voucher.
