Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Advantages: Protects skin, makes it look healthier
Disadvantages: A bit pricey, takes a few minutes to absorb, smells a bit icky!

...I really like Estee Lauder products but I don't buy them that often because they are so expensive. There has been a lot of hype and advertising surrounding the 'Advanced Night Repair' product recently and I just got a new job so I thought I would treat myself and decided to buy this to see what it was like. The product is meant to help your skin to repair itself from UV and environmental damage and also protect against these strains too before they damage your skin. I figured it must be doing something right since it has been winning awards. Quick and permanent repairs and fixings

Advantages: Easy to use and creates solid repair
Disadvantages: You need to use it quickly once mixed

...I do know I am something of a sucker for the advertising concerning new products and I do enjoy watching the QVC DIY show on a Sunday morning while I read the Sunday papers. The other week when I was watching I saw the demonstration of Fixwiz repair sticks and I was fascinated. Basically the Fixwiz repair sticks are sticks of an epoxy resin which are brown on the outside, white on the inside, and in order to activate the stuff you just cut off the amount you need and then knead it between your fingers until the brown and the white are fully mixed. As you knead the mixture becomes warm and it takes only minutes before it is ready to use - but remember it takes only minutes to set hard so you need to be ready to use it more of less straight away once it is mixed! ...This is yet another Estee Lauder product which I am happy to recommend. There are two types of product in this range, both doing the same thing, one being with extra whitening rcovery complex. This is for those who are concerned with maintaining the fairness of the skin and preventing discoloration or pigmentation. ie more siuted for darker skins or those with freckles. I have tried both and found them to be good although the effects can only be seen after long term use and not immediately unlike some of their other products. I think it works to repair damaged cells and protect new ones that are formed while you sleep. It is non oily and quite light in a lotion form and only a little is needed as it is quite concentrated, so it is still worth the price as you end up using it over a long period of time. ...I was looking around the beauty counter in my local Debenhams and I was attacked by one of the sales people on the counter. I am usually not a lover of Estee Lauder products, as I do have quite sensitive skin and I have got to be careful of what I use, particularly on my face, as if I use something that irritants the skin my face usually swells up like a balloon, so I was a little hesitant at first about looking into these products. As I have quite a high face colour, my face sometimes looks like a 'glow worm' as I put it, I do have problems finding products that can actually combat this. The shop assistant, pointed me out to three different products which are good for my skin type, but in particular she put great emphasis on this product. Don't despair with CD Repair!

Advantages: Fast service, cheap, really does repair disks

...Having reviewed the No 1 in the world cd repair tool and found out it was a flop and waste of money, I have tried a few other techniques. This review is on the Procare CD/DVD repair kit found at Maplin and possibly other stores. ~ The kit ~ You get the cd repair too itself which is motorised, you get the adapter, cd sanding discs, cd buffing discs and cleaning fluid. It comes in a nice flat box that is easy to store after use. ~ How it works ~ This is slightly different to the worlds No1 cd repair tool in that it appears to look like a cd walkman, you put the sanding discs in first and then put the scratched cd in with label facing up.
