...Well this review is focusing on more of my time in Florida, ive been away for a while in Australia, so you will hear some reviews about that in the near future, however I felt I should finish off my whole America experience. This review is on my time at the famous Disney attraction "Disney's Hollywood Studios", which is also known as MGM Studios. The MGM Grand is Grand Indeed!

Advantages: A fascinating place to visit and so much to see
Disadvantages: One can get worn out just trying to explore the whole hotel

...I stayed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for 3 nights and 4 days in August 2008 and can honestly say I had a great time. Please let me warn you that this is a fairly lengthy review of my experience. We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel which cost about $7 which worked out at less than £4 at the time. The first thing you notice about stepping out of the taxi and into the hotel is the fabulous air-conditioning. Vegas in August is VERY hot, well over 40o Centigrade! So it's really a relief to get out of that heat into the fabulously spacious lobby of the MGM and feel cooler straight away. On stepping inside the hotel (if you arrive by car) you are greeted by the large gold lion in the centre of the lobby in front of which it seems everyone who goes there for the first time rushes to have their photo taken in front of! MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

Advantages: 4/5 star, great price, good gambling and atmosphere
Disadvantages: The Lion enclosure

...My husband and I have just gotten back from a trip to Las Vegas and chose the MGM hotel to stay at so this forms my review. The MGM is located right on the strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) right by Tropicana Avenue so fairly near one end of the strip. It is located close to the New York New York hotel and there is actually a walkway which joins the two hotels to give you easy access to both. The hotel in its present form was opened at the end of 1993. Most of the hotels in Las Vegas have a certain them that they like to promote through each of their casinos such at NY NY, Paris, The Venetian etc. The MGM in my opinion is not as heavily themed as the other hotels but follows along the lines of old Hollywood/California movies stars etc with the feature of the MGM lion and movie star photos in the bedrooms. LIGHTS, CAMERA, MGM

Advantages: great fun!

...MGM is the theme park more of the movies out of all of the Disney parks. This was my 2nd favourite park out of the whole of Disney. I liked it here because there were a lot of rides which I love, also it was nice to be in. This is one of the parks which isn't split up into different lands it's just one big park. I'll tell you about each attraction by number. When you walk into the park, you walk straight ahead and come to number1 which is 1.The Great Movie Ride-this is near the 100 years of magic sign. This ride is like a tour, everyone sits in the train which sits up to 5 in a row, there are about 12 rows, anyway it starts to move and you go through all the movies. You go through films like, Casablanca, Alien, The Wizard of Oz, Angels With Dirt Faces, Indiana Jones etc. At the end you all sit and watch a film in the train...

...Introduction Resident evil is a Science fiction horror film which was made in 2002 and was based on video games Resident evil 1 and resident evil 2. Unfortunately, I am not a huge fan of computer games and I had never heard of the games until recently. And I did not see the film when it first came out...I was too young! MGM- Disney magic

Advantages: fun for all
Disadvantages: very busy

...Disney MGM is a place of stunts, thrill rides and more Disney magic. MGM studios is mainly shows icluding car stunts and indiana jones but the few rides that are in the park are amazing Tower of terror- drop 13 stories in the dark Rockin rollocoasta- twist, turn and loop on a ride in the dark. Startours- fly on a spaceship with R2D2 and C3PO The shows are excellent too... Car stunts- a must see, cars jumping crashing through and at each other in a spectacular show. Fantasmic- join micky mouse and the gang as they fight against the evil disney charactors. Indiana jones- see three scenes from across the trillogy performed live in an epic show. When going to MGM use the most of the free fast track tickets. Place your ticket into a booth next to a attraction or ride. You will receive a ticket which tells you to come back...

MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas

Advantages: Everything you could want under one (massive) roof
Disadvantages: Located at the southern end of "The Strip" - so a bit of a walk to some attractions...

...We stayed at the MASSIVE MGM Grand for a few days this time last year. The MGM Grand, guarded by a 45-foot-tall bronze lion statue has 5,005 rooms and used to be the largest hotel in the world, a claim recently stolen by the Ambassador City Jomtien hotel in Thailand with 5,100 rooms. It's still the largest hotel in North America, although I think this will soon be stolen by George Clooney's Vegas hotel development... (While we're on the subject of large hotels, 17 of the 20 largest hotels in the world are in Las Vegas ! So even if you don't stay at The MGM Grand, odds are you'll be staying somewhere big...) Advantages: Great fun for all ages, where everyones a kid!
Disadvantages: none

...On parking up at Disney MGM you are faced with two options, walk to the entrance of the park or get on the free tram which takes you right to the main entrance, the car parks are enormous and a tip is to remember the section you are in, these are all themed depending on the park you are in. The tram is a great idea as it saves your legs for the walks around the park.These are available at most disney parks. On entrance to the park you find yourself on Hollywood Boulevard which consists of mainly shops to buy and browse at the souveniers and gifts available; i found myself spending a small fortune here(it is advisable to limit the amount of money you take to a park so you have enough left to enjoy the rest of your holiday!). Evil in Residence

Advantages: Twists at the start
Disadvantages: You've seen almost all of it before elsewhere

...either. The twist at the end of Resident Evil: Apocalypse doesn't seem to have been used much which may annoy or confuse some viewers who were expecting it to be developed on. There are a few nods back to it now and then and Alice seems to have developed telekinetic abilities as well from no-where (no idea if that was ever used in any of the games having only played 1 of them). There is a lovely old school nod in homage back to the Hitchcock classic "The Birds" at one point during the movie. One scene doesn't quite ring true, where their attacked by the zombies in the container in Las Vegas. Now this is a well co-ordinated group who have clearly survived and held their own for a good long time against the zombies but here they are panicking, firing randomly and firing on automatic when ammunition is clearly in short supply. ...Getting to the Studios is fairly easy. Motorists can reach Disney-MGM Studios via World Drive, often called "the main entrance" which is off of US192. It can also be reached via Epcot Drive off of I-4.
