Not so Grand - Barbados
Advantages: Food, Location
Disadvantages: Poor Decor, Customer Service, Room Quality and more...
...The not so Grand Barbados Beach resort is located on the west coast of Barbados in The Carlisle Bay Resort. A large property in need of renovation and modernisation which recently went under a refurbishment (lick of paint - outside). The hotel is 10 miles away from Barbados main airport Grantley Adams International, Bridgetown with a transfer time of around 20 minutes.

Nonantum Resort Hotel - older hotel with atmosphere
Advantages: Character, comfort, location
Disadvantages: Minor service niggles, facilites in the bedrooms (lighting etc)

A really pleasant hotel on the banks of the Kennebunk river which is a beautiful place to be. It's a few minutes drive or about 10 minutes walk to the very pretty village of Kennebunkport on the coast of Maine. We were on a touring holiday starting in Boston, driving through New England and ending in New York.
