Review of First Response One Step Test

BT Response 75 Answering Machine.

Advantages: Good make and the 1471 facility is very useful.
Disadvantages: Need a battery so you don't lose messages if there's a power cut (as it's digital)

...Yesterday I bought my third machine of this type. Don't get me wrong, it's not that it breaks easily. The dog chewed the wire on the first one but I'd had the second one for over four years. In that time I've dropped it, moved house and put it in storage and moved it around my current house several times. It has proved to be very sturdy and reliable (when the dog doesn't get it!!). This machine is a sort of mis-shaped square shape, 16cm x 12cm and is metallic grey in colour. It will go with most colour telephones and doesn't take up much room. It can also be wall mounted and screws and raw plugs come in the box. There are also many features included on this machine including: Answer mode - this allows you to set the machine to answer only mode so callers can't leave a message, aswell as the usual answer mode that allows them...

My Response to the Response 310

Advantages: Handy telephone with remote access answering machine
Disadvantages: Was quite expensive compared to models available these days

...this particular feature is handy if you're calling one of those really annoying automated services (like the credit card, phone or utility company, etc) where you can just press the digit and wait and wait and wait? "Your call is important to us and will be answered shortly" YEAH YEAH YEAH. But that's another review! MY RESPONSE TO THE RESPONSE 310? Overall I'd rate this phone/answerphone unit as 5 out of 10. Maybe a few years ago I'd have given it an 8 out of 10 but having seen various newer, more functional and far cheaper units at various relatives and friends' houses I'm not as satisfied with my Response 310 as I once was. Strangely enough although my rental units used to give up working after a year or so almost as regularly as clockwork, the one I actually purchased has been working fine most of the time for 4 years or so...

Advantages: easy to use, extremely cheap, Very early accurate results
Disadvantages: A right devil to open, which way the window should be on, Using the second one before I went back to the bin to retrieve the first one, what I would have done with the second one though,I haven't a clue

There's numerous things to consider when you own a furry friend, first one being to ensure you are ready to own a dog and understand the work, time and effort that dog ownership brings. This is many peoples first mistake, especially idiots who get a dog, normally a staffy or other 'status symbol' dog or a cute fluffy puppy and haven't a clue or a care how to care for it....some muppets aren't fit to own a goldfish never mind a dog. From the dogs perspective you are the provider of food, water plus love, entertainment and most important of all leadership. Your family is no longer simply a family when you have a dog it becomes a pack with a distinct order....with you as the leader. Training A big responsibility in my opinion, your dog doesn't have to jump through hoops or dance...

Advantages: Very accurate and can test BEFORE period due

This is the second test that I bought this week that finally confirmed what I already knew myself, that I was indeed pregnant, up the duff, in the family way, whatever you want to call it, my first child is on it?s way! Hindsight is a great thing now that I wish that I had bought this test first, but I didn?t as it was the most expensive (£8.75 Boots) and when you feel fairly sure that there is a visitor in your tummy you tend to plump for cheap and cheerful, just to confirm your thoughts, unfortunately for me, cheap and cheerful was inaccurate for me this time so it cost me twice as much in the end! ...Timmy Time............. Timmy Time is a new programme that is aired on the cbeebies channel. It is shown at 9 am and repeated again later in the afternoon and is so enjoyable Jack doesn't mind watching it over and over again. It is from the makers of the well known Shaun the sheep but Timmy is a younger lamb who attends nursery school with all his small animal friends. He has a friend who is a pig, an owl, another lamb a cat and a hedgehog. There are no words in the programme but the animals make the associated noise such as the pig snorts a lot in the right places giving you an idea of what would be said if they were talking.
