Great restaurant in North West London
Advantages: Great service and honest welcome
Disadvantages: None to report.
...The restaurant is an independent Nepalese or Indian restaurant, that specialise in preparing and cooking Nepalese cuisine to customers in Eastcote. Eastcote is located in North West London. The store is located on Eastcote High Street which is a quite posh and upmarket area of North West London. I have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions including birthday and ordinary family celebrations at this venue. Located to the right of this shop is painting and decorating shop and to the left is a stationery shop.
The thing other than the local and convenient access for myself in Eastcote is that I have really been taken in by the high standards of service throughout the meal ordering and serving process. The staff are professional, attentive and courteous. The main reason I like the restaurant was based on seeing the food freshly...

London's best restaurant where you get to keep your shirt?
Advantages: Creative menu; delicious, reasonably priced food; friendly staff
Disadvantages: A little cramped, some pretentious choices
...Every now and again you discover a hidden gem of a restaurant that has you rushing to your keyboard to tell the world about how great it is. Bumbles on Buckingham Palace Road is a true original, a friendly fine dining experience at chain restaurant prices with friendly staff and an accessible central location. I booked a table for my girlfriend and I and a visiting sibling yesterday evening and haven?t stop smiling since.
Buckingham Palace Road (unsurprisingly enough), runs along the boundary of the grounds of Buckingham Palace. It?s an easy to reach destination in Westminster, but is fairly uninspiring for its own sake. Certainly a prestigious postcode, but perhaps not the sort of street you expect to have good restaurants on it. Nearby tube stations include Victoria and St James? Park and it?s also ideally situated for diners...

Briliant Value In Central London
Advantages: So cheap, clean, quiet
Disadvantages: No facilities beyond the bare minimum
..., probably because Friends and Will and Grace are more appealing that the cartoons they were showing on the other channels that day, what with it being shortly after Christmas (the photo on the website implies you'll be munching away to the BBC Breakfast?) The breakfast room could seat about 20 people and most of the tables were full while we were there, dispelling the myth that we were the only guests in residence.
So how much did a night in this remarkably acceptable central London hotel cost? A mere £65 in total for a triple room and breakfast for 3. This, dear reader, is considered a wild bargain in m mind, and explains why my expectations were low prior to arrival. It was much more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel and there were no real facilities (a small reception area, garden and breakfast room were essentially it) but it was all so...

A Central Location, Ideal For Exploring London
Advantages: Reasonable deals on rooms, good facilities, nice spacious rooms, central location
Disadvantages: Prices of the extra items such as breakfast
...the bill settled and ready to leave within about 5 minutes of arriving at the reception desk. The small amount of interaction we had with the staff they all seemed friendly enough and really made sure we had everything we needed. As we had a few hours to spare before our train on the Sunday we were also able to leave our luggage in their secure luggage room. This helped us immensely and made our last day in London a lot easier.
Overall the hotel did exactly what we were looking for. It provided us with a nice central base from which to explore London. It was easily accessible by tube and train, making it easy to find our way to where we wanted to go. The bed was comfortable enough and despite the price of the extras, the room was very good value and incredibly comfortable. If you are looking for a Hotel to explore London or for a theatre...

It started with a fish! J. Sheekey's Restaurant, London
Advantages: Wonderful food, service, location... what's not to love?
Disadvantages: None
...Lovely Man and I met over a salmon. I ordered it, he cooked it, I ate it and asked to meet the chef. We were then set up on blind date two months later. Three years on (three years tomorrow, in fact) and we are married and looking forward to a fantastic future together.
Slushy stuff aside, what we have mostly in common is food. He is a fantastic chef and I am a very accomplished eater. We both absolutely love fish and seafood and since we met, Lovely Man has been telling me about this restaurant in London. He went there with some fellow Cheffy friends a few years ago and couldn't wait to share the experience with me.
And what an experience!
J. Sheekey's is set just metres away from the Leicester Square tube station and the hustle and bustle of central London. I am a hick from the sticks and was worried that I would be...

LONDON'S CALLING
Advantages: Pleasent stay, good food, central location
Disadvantages: Views from room
...eateries/drinking places and chose 372, which offers carvery selection. I was surprise how hot and fresh the food was. Not only that it was tasty too! We opted for lamb with roast potatoes, new potatoes and three vegetables. However, my only complaint about the meal was the vegetables; they were a tad on the raw side for my liking. That said I ALWAYS OVER cook my veggies. Dessert was for me home made apple pie and cream, while the other half opted for home made cheesecake ? both were consumed without any complaints and very much enjoyed. Our meal for two with drinks cost £29)
Hotel: the hotel it situated in the Strand which is in central London and easy to walk to theatres such as the Aldwych, Lyceum, and many more. Come out the front of the hotel and turn right, and you?ll be heading towards Trafalgar square with Nelson, bear left and you...

Afternoon Tea at Browns Restaurant and Bar
Advantages: Good value afternoon tea
Disadvantages: Slow service
...Recently one of my favourite things is afternoon tea. You would think that living in London it would be easy to find somewhere to have tea and scones. Living in London it is usually fairly easy to find whatever food I feel like eating, no matter how exotic that food is but it seems that finding somewhere where you can have afternoon tea that doesn't cost upwards of £25 is close to impossible! I was even considering paying the £38 that it costs to have afternoon tea at the ritz but fortunately before I managed to book a table a friend of mine suggested we have afternoon tea at Browns. I agreed, thinking that she meant the hotel and that I would still be paying over £30 for tea. Fortunately the place she had in mind was Browns Restaurant and Bar, not Browns hotel.
It has now become a regular thing for me and my friend to meet...

The London Underground - Central line
Advantages: Good way to see London
Disadvantages: Dirty and old
...One of the busiest transport networks in the entire world is based right here in London.
Its common name is "the Underground" a name adopted in the 1930's along with its famous Red circle and Blue stripe through.
Yet the tube network was started much earlier in the late 1800's.
The underground was a complex maze of tunnels constructed deep underground to solve the transport problems that were beginning to affect London.
Lack of space was an issue above so the answer was found below.
One of the lines that runs deep underground is called the Central Line. It is the most heavily used by commuters and tourists alike. It appears on the map as a Red line running through London from side to side.
Im going to explain all of the stations in this opinion and will take you on a journey along the line from East to West.
Firstly, I...

Stranded in London!
Advantages: Excellent central location; good bars and restaurants
Disadvantages: Rooms a bit old fashioned; a little pricey
...stacked high with a traditional beef or lamb or turkey (or all three!) roast, carved by a very friendly and funny chef who served us.
As mentioned earlier, Covent Garden is less than 5 minutes walk away (the tube station a couple of minutes more), and most of the theatres are within 5 minutes walk. It was an ideal place to stay. During the day we did the cheesy tourist thing and got on one of the tour buses (a stop is just around the corner from the hotel). We also went on the London eye, but got to this using the tour bus, but I believe it is around 15 minutes walk from the hotel.
All in all a good central location for siteseeing and theatre breaks, hence giving it a recommendation, but a little disappointed in the room (especially after paying for a "club" upgrade). If you've stayed in a typical London hotel before then the style...

Probably the best restaurant I have visited!
Advantages: Excellent food, presentation and service.
Disadvantages: ....still thinking!!
...Myself and my husband visited Patterson's Restaurant for a pre-theatre meal last night - I had such a wonderful time I wanted to review it as soon as possible!
The restaurant is located on Mill Street in London W1, it was only a couple of minutes walk from the London Palladium where the show was, so it was perfect. The closest tube is the Oxford Circus, which took approximately 5 minutes in heals!!
Mill Street, where the restaurant is located is a small side street and the restaurant would be easily missed if you did not know what you were looking for. The windows were fully covered with Hessian roman blinds which allowed customers to see out of the restaurant, but passers by not see in, which I thought was a nice idea.
We had an early booking which was at 5:30pm due to the start time of the show, hence we were the first...
