...Mars Revels must be a pretty popular choice for chocoholics, this statement is not based on fact but it is based on the knowledge that Revels are one sweet treat that I cannot ever seem to find in any of the discount stores. If I buy a packet of Revels then inevitably it is on one of my rare visits to Blockbusters when I go to choose a DVD. Just beside the till they have an awesome selection of sweets in what they describe as `family bags`. Well, let me tell you, devouring a family bag of Revels proves to be quite easy ! The family bags have to be considered quite a treat because of the price but to buy a small bag is hardly the same, once you have just got started then you have just about finished. I realise that the bag is supposed to contain a mixture that remains an enigma to us but when you become an experienced Revel eater...

Everybody likes to be a revel.

Advantages: coffee and orange cremes, rasins, versatility

The previous day I had gotten a great offer in the Esso garage acorss the road from my house, and I had managed to purchase 8 bags of chocolate and bars of chocolate for £2.50. ...Revels are produced by Mars and are a great bag of sweets full of variety in the great Mars chocolate. You have the choice of the chocolate, toffee, orange fondant , coffee fondant , raisin, peanut and a malteser with a biscuit/honeycomb centre wrapped in chocolate to mak a bag of Revels. You can but a variety of size Revel packets these days from a standard bag to a grab bag or pot the size is completely up to you. As much as i love Revels as i am a huge mars chocolate fan, i have to say that they are a waste of money for me to buy as i tend to find that i pick out the peanuts, coffee and raisin by biting them in half and i never eat them, so it would be cheaper for me to buy a bag of Minstrels which are great, they just do not seem to last very long. If i had to pick a favourite of all the revels it has to be the toffee one...

...I would like to say well done to whoever was the mastermind behind the revels bag of chocolate, and the advertisment that goes with it, they are both brilliant. It really is pot luck as to what you get inside your bag of revels, as there as so many different flavours in the bag, to name them; nut, coffee (although I think they have taken this one out), chocolate, malteaser and caramel, with a new mystery one. When you put your hand in the bag and pick out a chocolate, you dont know which flavour you have chosen, which is why if you get a coffee one, it isnt very nice. They are so popular, and just to prove it, Revels recently ran a campaign to decide which flavour should be removed to be replaced with a new one, and hundreds of thousands of people voted. Rebel revel!!

Advantages: So much variety so little time!
Disadvantages: I never know which one to eat first!

...Rebel Revel Revels are surely the creation of a woman. Only a woman could have the forsight to know that we of the gentler sex get bored very easily when presented with the same thing over and over again. We like variety, we like excitement and I'm not just talking about chocolate! There are six varieties of chocolates in a bag of Revels and they're all as delicious as each other, begging the question, upon opening said bag, "which one should I nibble on first?!!" For the purposes of this review, I just bought a large bag of Revels - weighing in at 175g that's a lot of chocolate, but I don't need to worry, as there is a very handy peel and seal sticker on the back which means that if there are any left when I've finished this review, I can seal the bag up again and pop it in the fridge for another day. Advantages: fun to eat
Disadvantages: no coconut ones!

...Ok so here's the thing, I'm not a HUGE chocolate fan in all honestly. That doesn't mean I would refuse it though! I'm just a "I'll take a piece, but I couldn't eat a whole one" kinda person. Revelation......Bring Back Steve Perry!

...I only discovered Journey a couple of years ago, although they were formed in 1973!! Anyway my partner is a lead singer in a band and one of his heroes is the 'legendary' Steve Perry. For those who don't know - Steve used to be the lead singer with Journey (1977-1998) before embarking on a solo career and then going into retirement.
