Tanjung Rhu Langkawi recommended, total tranquility......
Advantages: Quality, service, child friendly, great food, beautiful setting, relaxed and informal
Disadvantages: None
...I cannot recommend this resort highly enough. The Tanjung Rhu resort is set at the secluded end of the island away from any hustle and bustle along a mile long white sandy beach. To the front of the resort you have the Andaman sea and to the rear you have the mangroves and rainforest covered hills of Langkawi.
We booked directly with the hotel about 8 months in advance and they offered us a 10% discount via email. We also booked directly with Malaysia Airlines who at the time offered free internal flights from Kuala Lumpur. So, 13 hours to Kuala Lumpur, a 30 minute wait and a free flight to Langkawi. The transfer, arranged by Tanjung Rhu took approximately 25 minutes. I'd recommend Malaysia Airlines having flown many times with them. I've never experienced any delays and the service is second to none. So make sure you book direct...

A sad tale about soy sauce and toilet seats
Advantages: Absolutely wonderful staff
Disadvantages: Fawlty Towers without Basil
...I took my mum on a 5 day coach tour to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs in September, for her 80th birthday. It was her first big outing for 18 months, as she was knocked down by a hit and run driver in January of last year, and hospitalised for three months, having about 7 operations (we lost count) and left permanently disabled and walking with a stick. She lost her independence and her "get up and go" so I wanted to take her somewhere nice to try to give her a boost.
Anyway, I digress.
When we arrived at the hotel the setting itself was wonderful, Rhu is only a small place but the hotel overlooks Rhu bay and in itself looks very impressive, so we were hopeful that it would be a good stay. The staff when we arrived could not have been more helpful, and our bags were whisked up to our rooms within minutes of arrival (there being...

Hotel International
Advantages: Location, breakfasts
Disadvantages: Poor rooms
...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:
Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

Norbreck Castle Hotel
Advantages: Out of the town
Disadvantages: Too many people!
...I'm glad that I did not get to read any of the reviews before I went to this hotel, or see the Holidays from Hell programme the night before!
The hotel can be found along the seafront, about three miles from the main centre of Blackpool, heading out towards Fleetwood. It is now under the Britannia hotels group and it is easily accessible by tram and bus. We used the trams the whole time instead of me driving all the time.
My husband, my two youngest children and myself went last week for a couple of nights, after finding an advert which gave a special price of £35 per person dinner bed and breakfast per night. The two children were included free of charge, including their meals. The advert did state that the hotel was ungoing a £7million pound upgrade, and that some services may not be available. This did not deter us as we...

hotel olsanka
Advantages: Cheap and cheerful
Disadvantages: Not so easy to access the town centre of prague.
...hotel olsanka prague
Having been to prague recently and having stayed at this particular accomodation a few years ago, I was keen to give this place one final chance as I had had a really rubbish stay at this place. Similarly to my previous stay, I had notice that the Hotel seems to be advertised much cheaper on accomodation websites compared to near enough all other places to stay in prague.
getting to the accomodation
The details of getting to prague town centre are covered in my previous prague accomodation review, and whilst this accomodation is not as easy to get to location wise, a tram journey needed to get the accomodation from one of the central location's of prague town centre.
booking process
I booked this accomodation using a third party reservation booking website and paid around seventy euros...

Great hotel
Advantages: lovely rooms, nice food and fab facilities
Disadvantages: none really
...I recently stayed overnight at the chine hotel in Bournemouth whilst in the area for a friends wedding. It is currently rated as a three star hotel, but I cannot for the life of me see why as I found it to be of at least four star standard. There are 86 rooms, all of which incorporate an en suite bathroom and are decorated to a decent standard. All rooms include a hair dryer, trouser press, direct dial telephone, satellite television (selected channels only) and the complementary tray of tea, coffee and biscuits.
There are four types of rooms available in relation to the view they offer the guests. The basic room is an inland room, then there is a garden facing room and finally the sea views and sea views with balcony (the prices are slightly higher for these).
The hotel has a fantastic restaurant which serves breakfast...

...****Sachas hotel- Manchester****
I booked this hotel last minute as i had a job interview in Manchester and needed somewhere quite cheap ,that was also near the centre.
**Location/Getting there**
This hotel is located in Tibb street which is a 2 minute walk from Piccadily Gardens or 10 minutes away from Chorlton street bus station. The Train station is a little bit further away say maybe a twenty minute walk but i don't think that this is that bad .You can also get a tram from Piccadily gardens and this goes to quite a few places. You could also get a taxi to the hotel but i am not sure what parking is like if you were to take your own car.
**Reception/staff**
Since i had never been to Manchester before i phoned and asked the staff for directions -they were very nice and helped me out. When i got there i think i got the same...

Fantastic Hotel
Advantages: Fantastic Food
Disadvantages: Lifts are quite small
...When we decided to make a return trip to Benalmedina we opted to go to the four star Hotel Las Arenas as it was recommended by friends. It is slightly further out just opposite the Castle Bill Bill and when you cross the road it?s a flat walk all the way to the marina which is away from the large hills on which many of the other hotels are located.
Reception
On arrival check in was swift and at this time we opted to pay for a safety deposit box we were then handed the safe key and card key to room 524 and pointed in the direction of the lifts. On looking round reception it was laid out with tables and chairs and also had a grand piano, a small bar ,toilets and computers with internet access. There is a large board telling you about entertainment available during the day and at night. The whole area was laid out for wheelchair access...

The Perfect Boutique Hotel
Advantages: Fabulous decor; impeccable customer service;
Disadvantages: I had to leave!
...Last week my boyfriend turned 26 and I wanted to surprise him and take him away somewhere swanky for a short break. We both work very hard and long hours so I was after somewhere where we could relax and switch off from everything for a couple of days and just feel a bit pampered. After lots of research, Dublin seemed like the ideal place and after checking out some reviews on tripadvisor, The Dylan hotel looked like the perfect choice, being rated the 2nd best hotel in the city.
The Dylan is a 5 star boutique hotel based slightly outside of Dublin's main centre in a 19th-century townhouse that used to house the nurses of the nearby hospital. It's located on the South side of town by the canal in a quiet side street in a residential part of town, so you're unlikely to be bothered by any noise, but is a quick and very straightforward...

A hotel, made out of chocolate?!!
Advantages: Great products
Disadvantages: None
...A hotel, made out of chocolate?
Hotel Chocolat - Hotel Chocolat is a British luxury chocolate brand founded over 15 years ago by Angus Thirlwell and Peter Harris. It started as a catalogue based business and now has a number of outlets across the country.
Walking into a Hotel Chocolat shop is an adventure in itself. The stores are decorated very simply and classically in my opinion. They are quite bright and welcoming and have a black trimming in the decor which I think gives it a hint of glamour. All the products are displayed well around the shop allowing you to browse at all the wonderful things on sale. The black trimming of the shop also carries over to the products and makes up the packaging which is very dramatic and fitting for good quality chocolate in my opinion.
What I love about Hotel Chocolat is that they have some...
