FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Morphy Richards Impressed me
Advantages: An economical iron from Morphy Rchards
Disadvantages: None
...Morphy Richards are well known and trustworthy manufacturers of electrical appliances and produce a wide choice of products.
With Christmas fast approaching the company have many novel and inexpensive gift ideas displayed on their website.
Of course all of the prices have been adjusted to reflect the recent reduction in VAT.
So many times I have bought an electrical appliance only to find a few months down the line that I need to find spare parts or accessories and often this can be frustrating. But I have noticed that Morphy Richards have a search facility on their website for this and if you cannot find the part that you are searching for then you can contact their Customer Care Team via the website.
Replacing my iron has been on my `To Do` list for some months now and I have only recently got around to doing it.
Years...

A great Morphy Richards Product
Advantages: Delicious bread without such a gaping hole in the bottom
Disadvantages: Ingredients bucket a bit stiff to manouver
...I have had my original Morphy Richards breadmaker for two years and it was still in good working order but when I saw a new model in Robert Dyas, I had to go and investigate. The new model on display was boasting a drop down paddle which meant no more gaping holes in your bread after you have removed it from the tin. That has to be a plus!
The fact that the price had been reduced from £70 to just under £50 swayed my decision. My current which model could be passed onto a grateful family member.
As I unpacked this very good looking silver machine, I found an instruction book, guarantee card (for two years) and the measuring cup and spoons. The instruction book is very clear and is full of interesting recipes which include cake and jam. There are a list of baking cycle times and you can make a fast loaf in 1 hour should you wish...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Morphy Richards Rice cooker - Too clever for me!
Advantages: An easy way to cook rice dishes
Disadvantages: Not suitable for small families due to the minimum cooking quantity
...A few months ago I read a review about a rice cooker and thought that, yes I could do with one of them. I settled on the Morphy Richards 48744 as to be honest that was the only one offered on the fact finders website and I thought I would use up some of my points.
.
The Rice and Pasta cooker is a mirrored silver colour with black handles with a toughened glass lid with a black handle and a steam hole. The cooker is 21 cm high without lid or 24cm with the lid and 28cm in diameter plus handles makes it 36cm. The cable is 90cm long. It fits nicely into one of my top wall mounted kitchen cabinets if the lid is turned upside down. The cooker is supplied with a pasta cooking pad, which is like a round piece of clear/white rubber with holes in it, a plastic measuring beaker and a small plastic white spatula. Inside the machine is a large...

richard
Advantages: great read
Disadvantages: hard to understand if you are new to old english
...I have just read this in English for my literature coursework on shakespeare. Heres the beginning of my coursework. This will explain a lot to you.
William Shakespeare wrote the play Richard III in 1591. Commonly known as a history play, although it can be thought of as belonging under each category of plays Shakespeare wrote: History, Problem, Tragedy and comedy. Historical as the main plot of the play is true, however some facts may be untrue as to fit the Tudor myth. Problem play, because Richard kill's everyone in his way, death and destruction linger in his path.Tragedy play, as Richard who the audience have secretly come to admire dies, and so do other characters such as the young princes. Comedy play as the play ends with a wedding which in these times was thought of as a comedy as there is happiness. The Tudors also saved...

Richard and Judy
Advantages: light entertainment
Disadvantages: you can forget that you're watching it
...So the king and queen of daytime T.V have upped sticks and moved to the ungodly hour of 5pm on channel 4 leaving This morning Richard and Judy less.
Their new show is called and is shown between 5 and 6pm on weekdays. I?ve been off work after an operation for a couple of weeks, so I?ve been watching lots of daytime T.V. So I?ve been able to watch this programme, usually I?d be just getting home from work when it?s nearly finished.
Which brings me to the point that the 5-6 time slot is a strange time for a talk show, it?s not quite daytime T.V or an evening slot. Thinking about Richard and Judy?s former incarnation on This Morning, I?d say that the first difference I noticed was the set. The studio is very blue and turquoise with an art deco look. Judy has been vamped up, for want of a better word: plunging neck lines, short skirts...

Richard & Judy
Advantages: The range of guests they have on their show.
Disadvantages: Richard interrupts & talks with his mouth full!
...'Richard and Judy', former presenters of 'This Morning', are now presenting their own daytime show on Channel 4 - aptly named 'Richard and Judy'! This is a lifestlye programme. It is aired each and every weekday at 5pm and lasts for 1 hour.
What I like about the programme is that they have a varied selection of guests on there every day. Today, for instance, they had Noel Edmunds on the show (27 July '06). They have interviewed many people ranging from J K Rowling (26 June '06), Barry Manilow (04 March '05) and Ben Affleck (12 January '04).
Although each show has the same standard layout each day, the content is different. They cover topical issues that could be something that has been on the news or in the newspapers. They will get certain experts in to discuss these issues and, as with any discussion, there'll be someone who...

Morphy Richards manhattan 43015 Chrome Kettle
Advantages: Design, Looks,Boiling speed,Blue light
Disadvantages: Water level indicator, Filling ability
...After seaching high and low we settled on the Morphy Richards Manhattan Kettle to replace our other Morphy Richards Kettle 43120 Glass Please read the review on the 43120 when i post is as it is a dangerous kettle
Anyway back to the new Manhattan
The kettle is finished in a highly polished shiney chrome which actually resists finger prints very well so it stays cleaner. It gives the appearance of being very tall and slim and in the shop it looked a bit odd but when we got it home it fitted in so well.
It has a double cool wall and for those who are worrined as it is metal and conducting heat from the water don't. Yes its gets warm but not hot enough to scold if you accidently touch it.
When the kettle is put on to boil there is a funky blue light which lights up the water level indicator on both sides.
One draw back is...

Morphy Richards vs Panasonic
Advantages: Looks good in my kitchen!
Disadvantages: Fussy with ingredients.....
...I spent a lot of time researching which breadmaker to buy as just before christmas my old Morphy Richards one expired (after 9 years - so I couldn't complain!) In the end I decided on the Morphy Richards 48268 (as against the Panasonic that friends have raved about).
THE REASONS:
Financially (a big reason) it was £42 as oppossed to over £75 for the panasonic one.
I liked the idea of a drop down blade, means that there is less of a hole ripped out of your bread (happened to my last breadmaker as it got old).
Didn't feel that the automatic nut dispenser was really worth the extra money - especially as I feel capable of tipping them in when it beeps
I read somewhere that it takes 3hrs for a loaf (I never bother with the fast bake as it never seems worth while) as against about 4 for the panasonic. Important to me as I put...
